As a 40k fan who never got into classic WH (Teclis aside who is obviously awesome). I love that you original warhammer fans get such a wonderful game. I wish there was a 40k version (and I miss Dawn of War so much). Also... when I listen to the excellent commentary of this video all I hear is .. "And the targflargen are incoming from the flank where the cognovids are casting superior flame of Mescaline over the archers. But oh no here comes the Sephilophagus of Mandeepus really getting stuck into the flobbilibobs.". It's like when you are tripping and you start listening the conversation but it gets away from you and you have to keep saying "wut?". :D

I find it hilarious but also really sad that Domination became the exclusive face of WH3 multiplayer. Turin literally won't cast anything else, I feel like it's in his contract with CA or something. Yes, Human Boy Yes-Yes is amazing and the Vermin League land battle scene is alive, but not getting this kind of official recognition by CA. It is disappointing.

It does seem rather... odd, that LB by Turin went completely and utterly by the wayside, so much so that many people unsubbed like myself (his sub growth plateau'd during this summer). Maybe there is some sort of NDA at play. It would be nice to see some more official LB tournaments. Some good casters need recognition and not just ad hoc Turin (even though he is hands down the best).

Plague drone units are actually amazing at attacking infantry units on walls. They knock lots of troops off the walls themselves, so theyre actually reasonably effective in a siege. Mostly useless otherwise. Campaign fodder.
Voidlolz is playing Land Battle tournaments, Mofet got kicked out of the premier Land Battle league (HBYY's Vermin League) for bad sportsmanship so I don't know what he is playing

@@AqMMM Real Mofet isnt top level at the game, he was playing only Mofet vs Void games (to help him not being spotted) All other games you saw from Mofet was Void playing. Its a sharing account
The first player picks 3 factions for a pool to choose from and bans one faction. The second player picks one faction and bans one from the opposing player's pool. The first player then chooses one of the remaining two factions from their pool. After that game, the players swap and player two then picks 3 factions and bans one... etc, etc.
Player 1 says they will play one of 3 factions (the pool) and blocks a faction for their opponent. Player 2 blocks one of Player 1's choices and chooses which ever faction they want (usually to counter the two remaining choices for player 1) Player 1 picks one of the two remaining factions in their pool.
No matter what your opinion of CA or TW:W III is. Turin casting is so good it makes me want to forget a little. Unless this game gets multiple teams working on it and free Immortal Empires - someone did cut its' wings and it was not players and TH-camrs. It was the company itself that did sabotage it.
I think I like the Dawn of War 2 system better: you only get points if you own more objectives than your opponent. That way you can still halt your opponent if they have a big points lead, so matches are tense for longer because there is always a chance of a comeback.
Here’s the main issue with TW MP atm…the vast majority of games are spammed by t1/t2 infantry, the more elite units are way too pricey. Makes for very predictable and bland viewing experience
I feel the general skill level is low. I need to get back into this game but i haven't the time to re learn all factions and matchups. I play single player only for now. A bit disappointed with some of the players, very weak performances and i was left wondering how some actually qualified. Some good games tho.... The very last match was odd the Dwarf build was a bad pick.
Many tournament pros left the scene when CA, and most casters, decided Domination mode would be their only official mode, period. It genuinely sucks as even Turin's tournaments have dropped in player quality due to four or five notable big namers being absent that were staples for all his whacky tourneys. My WH consumption went from a dozen or so videos a day to maybe one a day, if not every other day. I find DB to be incredibly boring, it's not for me and so now I am unsubbed from quite a few of my fav casters.
i got this game and cant even get past the very very start i don't know what to click there is way to much stuff to click on this is a really BAD game i don't understand it at all and steam will not refund me defiantly not recommending it to anyone its overwhelmingly complected to the point of not being playable UNINSTALED waste of money...

You're watching a competitive multiplayer tournament. It is the gaming equivalent of a sports match. If you want cinematic battles without casting, there are plenty of channels for that.

This tournament is completely community organized, CA have not used any dev time on this. Not sure how you would even think devs would be using their time on a tournament?
