Qi Rong is that one character you can't help but love and hate at the same time. Like I hate him for the obvious reasons (cannibalism and other things but mostly I hate the cannibalism part) but I also can't help but stan single father Qi Rong who can't seem to let go of his child no matter how hard he tries.
Also, Qi Rong is hilarious.

Exactly is like I Can not help but hate him and love him at the same time, one of the things that he did that I hate the most is why he did to the body of Xie Liam’s mother, he did a lot of fuck up things, but is so cute how he basically becames a single father who loves his child and tbh yeah is pretty hilarious

It’s interesting that in the scene where hc turns lqq into a daruma doll in the novel xl does actually fight lqq but the fight only lasts for a second because xl sneakily captures him with ruoye, and once he’s in ruoye THEN hc turns him into a doll, whereas in the manhua he just turns him into one directly before xl can fight him, kinda just putting that fight to a halt. I know it’s to save starember time so they don’t have to draw stuff unnecessary to the plot but hmmm idk how to feel about it
Yes! I also was sad not seeing that. Xie Lian has some really funny dialogue there, besting LQQ and laughs really hard over some angsty stuff as well. Oh well, these chapters always make me go back and read the book hahaha

well.... This novel is new to me ... I found it on Netflix, as an indication... I never knew it, or this type of novel .... now I am hooked on it.... after watching the first season, I ended up buying the second book ... And I must say that, after this point, I really respected the author, cause all that comes next took my breath away... the second arc, with more background of Xie Lian, is painfull ...... all after this chapter is revealing and painfull .... ok ..... now I have to read the third volume .....🤦♀
