I’m definitely in the trenches with you. One of my favorite moments is the moment where Hua Cheng gets stabbed with the sword for Xie Lian. But more than the act, it was when he said “As if I’d let you be stabbed by it again in front of me.” Because it was the same sword Xie Lian had been stabbed by 100 times. But at that point Xie Lian didn’t know that Hua Cheng was the ghost flame/Wu Ming, so he didn’t understand why Hua Cheng’s reaction was so strong. I can’t.

I was smiling sooooo hard watching this omggg one moment that made me feral was when Xielian Windmaster and Hexuan came back to Puqi Shrine to a shirtless Hua Cheng and Xie Lian was so flustered and trying to cover him up! I love Hualian so much!! Have you read Erha by Meatbun?? I would love to see a reaction video to this danmei as well I just finished this book hahaha

OMG i love just all the scenes where they interact, but also that one were they are inside the mountain gardian (i think) and Xie Lian picks up a venemous bone and he´s just like, i´m inmune to poison by this point so no problem, but Hua Cheng says, please if you see someting dangerous or strange don´t touch it, that you don´t die it doesn´t mean it doesn´t hurt, so don´t touch it. And then Xie Lian use uno reverse and says, then you don´t touch it neither, we both won´t touch it. AHHHHH I JUST LOVE HOW THEY PROTECT AND CARE FOR EACH OTHER.
i just love the whole dialogue they both have when hua cheng is fading away, i've read that part so many times that it is almost embarrassing also, if you liked that scene you should watch this one storyboard that was posted on yt of it, it's beautifully made and captured all of the emotion of this part of the book other scene i really love is in the ending of the first extra chapter (245) where xie lian is having some time alone in the ghost city and there were this festival going on, one that he used to pass with his parents, and he didnt quite remember how it felt until he reunited with hua cheng in the end bc hua cheng is his family now, that was so sweet to me
