I think the whip crack was one of the top 10 funniest moments in the series, just because of the candid nature of it -- going out of character just for a brief moment because he broke a lamp, and James just decides to keep it in. Love it.

Remember, back then there was no internet to tell you how to cheat or walk through the game. It was a puzzle. You just had to figure it out on your own. This was the challenge that made it interesting and fun.
A decade later, this is still my favorite episode! The Nerd is funny as heck and I watch it once a month or so, it just never gets old. You honestly made a true classic of the internet-age! Be proud, man!

Well, to me IJ IV has the issue than SW VII - if you forget what franchise they belong too, they are fine movies. But when you consider them as the latest addition of their franchise, they are disappointing. They have different problems, but there is one terrible thing they have in common : they rely way too heavily on their predecessors using "hommage" scenes. I am going to watch IJ or SW to watch an IJ or SW movie, not to feel like I am looking at the family album with a nostalgic feeling ! And yet this is the feeling I had about both of these films.
Other than Indy himself and Marion, what was actually nostalgic about Crystal Skull that was more than an Easter Egg? I'm not looking to defend Kingdom, just to clarify your point.

Now I don't feel so bad that I kept getting stuck playing the "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" game as a kid. It was way too complicated for a simple Atari game. Thanks for showing all the stuff I missed back in the day.:-)

I played it as a kid in the 80's and while it could be difficult and frustrating, it was one of my favorite Atari games and I did manage to beat it several times.
It took me a month to beat Raiders on the Atari 2600. Every day, a friend of mine would give me tips and pointers on the school bus each morning. Looking back, I often wonder, "How the hell did he figure any of it out on his own?
I honestly believe all the people defending Crystal Skulls were never real fans of Indiana Jones in the first place. Personally, everyone I know in my age group (22-25) hate the movie, whereas the only ones I know who like it are children (yes, 17 year old, you are a child). Since they didn't grow up when Indy was a big deal, they don't understand. Forgive them for they know not what they do

To beat the Atari one you have to use a parachute on the screen where you're falling and go into a trap door on the side. That takes you to a room where you can't see anything and you just have to figure out the pattern to navigate thru it. I can't remember after that though. That was very long ago.

I think the Crash games on the PS1is a better example, like in 3d sections you are just walking a corridor but in 2d sections you can still move in 3d.

I played it as a kid in the 80's and while it could be difficult and frustrating, it was one of my favorite Atari games and I did manage to beat it several times.

It took me a month to beat Raiders on the Atari 2600. Every day, a friend of mine would give me tips and pointers on the school bus each morning. Looking back, I often wonder, "How the hell did he figure any of it out on his own?

I honestly believe all the people defending Crystal Skulls were never real fans of Indiana Jones in the first place. Personally, everyone I know in my age group (22-25) hate the movie, whereas the only ones I know who like it are children (yes, 17 year old, you are a child). Since they didn't grow up when Indy was a big deal, they don't understand. Forgive them for they know not what they do
Man, watching these old episodes feels so nostalgic😄 I remember everytime a new AVGN episode was released, I was overjoyed!

To beat the Atari one you have to use a parachute on the screen where you're falling and go into a trap door on the side. That takes you to a room where you can't see anything and you just have to figure out the pattern to navigate thru it. I can't remember after that though. That was very long ago.

I think the Crash games on the PS1is a better example, like in 3d sections you are just walking a corridor but in 2d sections you can still move in 3d.
