Abe is incredible. It’s so easy to get ahead of the beat in these slow grooves and ruin the song. He stayed behind the beat. Sits in a pocket. Such genius drumming. Rip Chi.

I saw Deftones at house of blues in myrtle beach like 2000-2001 and the combination of them being one oh the best live bands and the size of the venue being club like was euphoric.

I'm glad to see that these kids see how real music is made. It's not a posse jumping around with mikes saying "yeuh, yeuh,yeuh". It's with bandmates who know how to play the shit out their instruments and at least one guy with the golden pipes.
Now if we could just get Rage back together....kids would want to actually want to form bands and jam in garages with shitty gear. That was Deftones inception.

I was at this performance, they told us to not make to much noise cause it was on tv and they wanted the band to play without interruption cause it was on tv so everyone could watch it and hear chinos vocals , they told us to cheer at the end of the song only
No one is gonna point out that Chino was playing the wrong second chord during the first chorus?....instead of going to the 8th fret, he went to the fifth fret like they do in the beginning of the final chorus.
