Awesome, no crap music or verbage! Just let that amazing aircraft and our spectacular land tell their own story, underscored by the astonishing skills and bravery of the pilot! Bravo!!
I grew up with these things. They were first launched in the year I was born, and they scared the shit out of me watching the pilots flying. Sound so GOOD.
These guys don't crash a lot, and it's almost never because of engine failure. You might not be able to get back to the original strip (though the things are very overpowered once you dump the load, so even a sick engine will fly), but also they can land in just about any open space of 100m-200m length e.g. a cow paddock.

Awesome footage. These men would have to rate as some of the best pilots in the world.
I pay great respect to these brave guys as a farmer in north Waikato as in the rest of the country, they do a bloody good job
keep it going Murray. .. nice country up your way
great man no music just raw noise
I have been in that plane when it wan based in Wanganui and flown by Dick Stevenson.
born in new zealand, never seen these planes… but the sound is so incredibly familiar
Where’s this airstrip? Northland obviously but where?
Reminds me of James Aviation, working from Oneriri Rd Kaiwaka, in the 60's
Very cool. Are you the Hardings. ? Went to Westmere school in the 70s. ?
What is it spraying?
SUCH A MIGHTY PLANE!!!
Sounds so good.
Is it a flat-eight?
Just looked it up, and it is:
Lycoming IO-720.
Sounds so effing good!
Brave man, respect!
Amazing - but it seems there aren't a lot of options should the engine fail.
They can jettison the load in 3 seconds if they run into trouble, but the odds of landing in one piece are slim

love it buttop dressing for what? seems random to me.
Usually super phosphate or crushed lime or nitrogen pellets straight onto grass (pasture).
I'm home sick now
