Awww, and I just tried to make a GoPro mount for my cap... I tried to make one by cutting up a plastic file holder that you hang on doors, forming it via heat gun, and velcro'ing it to the hat and from the hat to the back. In the end, I can already tell it's only gonna be good for walking around, no playing as I didn't want to drill and there is too much sway left and right, not to mention it actually weighs down on the front a lot more than you'd expect. I'll have to try that hat mount you made in comparison. It's probably much better than what I could jerry-rig together. :)

Just stumbled over the blackout head kit a couple of days ago - ear protections really nice! I am gonna try to get some. And cuz' I'm a little bit insane, I'd also like some kind of low-profile light shoulder armor/protection (something similar to the classical overlapped plate ones maybe), somehow attachable to a backpack strap; I am in it for the looks, but because it's airsoft it would actually work as protection against those pesky bb pinches....just raving a little. Skirmish on!
TheCakes Yeah the Smith Optics Boogies are the biggest bunch of crap I've ever used I have since switch to Revision Exoshields, much better with anti fog applied.
I found that those wrestling ear protectors work too, just gotta shimmy your way through so that you can loop like the he did here. Love the design btw!

I am editing a video I shot with this mount this past weekend and looks like the angle and hold is dead on. I have no plans to revise these yet. Just waiting on my own Shapeways sample. Used the one I printed on my own printer. Very pleased with the results. Let me know how it works for you if you end up getting a set. And be sure you get the right one for your gopro case.

Get a bump cap baseball hard hat. Works great. You never worry again about being hit on the top of the head. I wear 1/2 face with ear protection with googles you will never have an issue again with a head shot.
I'm really surprised that these goggles are not working for you. I've seen your Instagram posts and that shower test really showed how bad the smith optic boogies are. I got them in clear and have had no problems I've worn them outside and inside trying to see if they would fog but I haven't had it so so once? Now I'm reluctant to take them to the field ;) anyway I hope you find a solution (like you always do)

Only one stuff, for beginners at airsoft, if you dont plan on raising rails and adding scopes to youre gun, do not use mesh mask, instead use half face mask (Its a mesh mask with mesh only in the middle where the mounth and nose are). If you dont have scope or any optic at all you will not be able to aim down sights with full face mesh mask, so if you buy half one you will be able, they protect same and are little bit more expensive around 2 or 3 bucks more then full face mask so yeah..
I used the boogies for a while but they fog a ton of you sit down and don't move I would suggest breath out of the mouth as much as possible and don't put the googles on until you enter the arena don't where them in the briefing.

Bit late but yes this is an airsoft headgear setup. Paintball masks are often used in airsoft for their cool aesthetic look aswell as protection, this is just an alternative.

This would work in paintball... I wear something similar to this in paintball actually. Eye protection is eye protection, ear protection is ear protection, and mouth protection is mouth protection. Theres no difference if it's in separate pieces or not.

You can tell your Dr. that all protection is the same & it doesn’t matter if it is together or separate when you are picking out your glass eye. And I've been shot multiple times in the head with no fear or worries, the owner of the field i go to even wears a similar setup to mine (weird custom payday tier mask with goggles on the inside). And all the refs (who i quadruple checked with to make sure i was allowed to have this) have zero issues with it. It's completely safe dude, infact id argue its even safer since you don't have a single strap holding ALL your protection on your head.

Yeah, those evil little gaps. Last saturday I was hit between my glasses and my hat, just above my eyebrow. Fortunately it wasn't a very poweful gun. BTW, BrainExploder your eotech protection reminds me; maybe you remember me asking about that mesh protection you showed us a few videos ago. I bought a commercially available one and I'm very happy with it. Not only it protects the glass but it also prevents reflection and increases the contrast of the red dot picture, which on a very bright day is a problem. So thanks for the tip.
This eotech protector is kind crappy. Very lots of glare and foggy finish. This one is commercially manufactured and is far worse than what I had in before. Link please.

BrainExploder if you have fogging issues with the boogies which many others (and myself) had when we ran with them. I have a better alternative, Revision Exoshields. I replaced them with my boogies and they work so much better than the boogies. Sadly there is only clear and smoked lenses

Probably not the best choice. Stick to woodland or the original multicam pattern or tropic. But in airsoft camo does not make a huge difference at the ranges we play at. You are better off looking for good cover or concealment.
Hey I really love all your airsoft setups and also the mesh setup tutorial you had! I was wondering if those goggles were good for outdoors cause many reviews said they would fog if you don't constantly move and so I was wondering if you have any recommendations on another pare of full seal ballistic glasses for cheap that work really well and I usually play outdoors so would this setup work well? I want a low profile head setup that is really comfortable cause my mesh setup is a bit heavy! Thanks so much!
Isn't the balaclava you wear under this headset causing you to sweat even more and forcing the breath moisture moving upwards going into your eye protection - fogging lenses a bit more? Thanks.
am10fcb I hope to go there in a couple of weeks I hear they are open Wednesdays so I might roll through, it's far from me but it looks like an awesome field and I have a gun coming in that should be perfect for it. It might be a couple of fps above 400, how strict are they on that sort of stuff.
BrainExploder well they aren't that strict, depending on the ref that day you could get away with it, but if its only a few fps over they should let you...

+Jacob Rosen It will be fine, it's basically one with the hat so a long as you have the hat on tight it should be fine. Check out some of my videos with it.
+David Gomez They are suitable as in they should stop a paintball from hitting you directly but they will act like a cheese grater and will splatter paint all over your skin so is it worth the risk type of decision.
They are different sizes the blackout or the smaller clear case are just tighter around the camera. I provide the corresponding width in the Shapeways description so you can check which one fits right.
I see people are complaining about the price of the ear protectors. I do really like this idea and wish I could afford them, but if they are a 3D printed piece why not just share the files for them so that people with the capacity to 3D print (I can do it free through my Uni.) to print it themselves.
Please let BE gain something from his hobby. Sharing the would ruin the least he is gaining from doing this. You see the final product. Get inspired and design your own. Print it, test it. Shapeways are doing these from harder materials. Dunno if you can access such materials.

Yeah I would imagine so it's smaller than typical headsets so I would say yes. Ill have a full video after some testing showing it with different options.

Might have to do that, still not fully giving up on them. The Revision wipes seem to help but not 100% convinced.

Probably not the best choice. Stick to woodland or the original multicam pattern or tropic. But in airsoft camo does not make a huge difference at the ranges we play at. You are better off looking for good cover or concealment.

Hey I really love all your airsoft setups and also the mesh setup tutorial you had! I was wondering if those goggles were good for outdoors cause many reviews said they would fog if you don't constantly move and so I was wondering if you have any recommendations on another pare of full seal ballistic glasses for cheap that work really well and I usually play outdoors so would this setup work well? I want a low profile head setup that is really comfortable cause my mesh setup is a bit heavy! Thanks so much!

Isn't the balaclava you wear under this headset causing you to sweat even more and forcing the breath moisture moving upwards going into your eye protection - fogging lenses a bit more? Thanks.
Maybe but the added comfort from it and it also soaks up all liquid sweat so it has benefits as well.

BrainExploder well they aren't that strict, depending on the ref that day you could get away with it, but if its only a few fps over they should let you...

Hi man ! Nice setup you have here. I'm looking for good ear protection. Right now I have a balaclava which is OK but not perfect. Do you think your ears protectors are compatible with the Stalker JAY FAST face protection ?
Don't think that will work and that helmet seems to have built in ear pro.
If you are going to be sprinting will the hat mount shake a large amount? In most rounds I tend to sprint as fast as possible.
+Jacob Rosen It will be fine, it's basically one with the hat so a long as you have the hat on tight it should be fine. Check out some of my videos with it.

+David Gomez They are suitable as in they should stop a paintball from hitting you directly but they will act like a cheese grater and will splatter paint all over your skin so is it worth the risk type of decision.

will your mount fit the gopro hero4 (the one without the lcd screen)? and what is the difference between the blackout casee and the regular case?
They are different sizes the blackout or the smaller clear case are just tighter around the camera. I provide the corresponding width in the Shapeways description so you can check which one fits right.
I see people are complaining about the price of the ear protectors. I do really like this idea and wish I could afford them, but if they are a 3D printed piece why not just share the files for them so that people with the capacity to 3D print (I can do it free through my Uni.) to print it themselves.
Please let BE gain something from his hobby. Sharing the would ruin the least he is gaining from doing this. You see the final product. Get inspired and design your own. Print it, test it. Shapeways are doing these from harder materials. Dunno if you can access such materials.

I would love to be able to use this type of googles but i would be blind in them lol. I need to use big fully closed goggles, coz i need to use my prescription glasses to be able to see smthing. Also fully closed goggles are little bit more safe.

Yeah I would imagine so it's smaller than typical headsets so I would say yes. Ill have a full video after some testing showing it with different options.

Some fields require a lower and ear protection sometimes. A paintballs mask is suitable for just about everything except maybe some milsim stuff.
do you think the standard 20$ pair of larger goggles will be okay with the hole as well or are these boogies stronger and safer to drill a hole into with less of a chance to get broken through by bbs?
