I show you how to custom fit a mesh lower face mask to fit a pair of Revision Desert Locust goggles. I then remove the straps and mount the lower onto the goggles.

If there was an airsoft company who started making goggles/mesh mask combo like that, they sell like hot cakes.

There is one... It's called SIRMI (Mask with goggles called SIRMI Crystal). But there's a problems: it's expencive, awkward looking (lens fitting is rough, working, but rough...), and it's made in Italy (will take time to ship)

People who keep saying "you should have just gotten him a full face mask". Not sure if you're talking about full face mesh mask or paintball mask but If you've ever worn a paintball mask theres not much ventilation so during the spring/summer its miserable having something keeping your hot breath in. Not to mention how easy it is to fog the lenses up on a full face mask.

I just went airsofting this past weekend with my friend and my girlfriends brother. It was 35-38 degrees all day. My friend was running a neoprene mask with lancer tactical goggles and he CONSTANTLY was stopping to wipe his goggles. I was running mesh mask with shooting glasses/Goggles and i didn't fog one time over the 6-7 hours of playing. My girlfriends brother had a paintball mask and didn't have but a few fogging problems but come this spring when the humidity gets up hell have the pain my friend had with fogging. Mesh mask/goggles or glasses is easily the best setup. Waaaay less of a hassle and you get to enjoy the experience more. Just my 2cents

All I gotta say, is thank you! I use the lower face mesh mask because it forms well to my face allowing proper cheek welds (sighting with my cheek against the cheekrest on my rifle). I do custom fit mine to my goggles, however like you I always had the issue of far too many straps. I prefer boonie hats, better for camo (I run DMR a lot and do a lot of crawling, sneaking etc). However two straps on the mask plus the goggles plus the hat was too much. So I got a helmet and attached the goggles to it, and the lower face mask straps to it. So it's all one piece. While a helmet does save me from head welts, it raises my profile one inch (I've been hit several times where I was behind cover but they arched their bb just enough to hit the top 1/4" of my helmet), even though I threw a lot of ghille material on it, the dome shape is much more of a give away then the boonie hat. I've been dying to go back to a boonie set up for a while now, and I think if investing in a 30$ glue can make a set up like this, then it's worth a shot. Happy airsofting!

I tried and tried to get my goggles and mask comfortable on my face. My mesh was always too low or my goggles rode up and both were uncomfortable. I fitted the mesh and goggles together and found that the two attached together fit perfectly and more importantly comfortably. No cutting into or crushing the nose and the goggles weren't pushed up with the mesh strap squeezing the face. I didn't even have to cut the mesh. A perfect fit.

Revision also sells the Rx mounts and im sure there's a way to fit them in there, even if they aren't for the same model. Im switching to contacts just so I have my full fov in view, but they would probably work well for those goggles. They only recommend you take them to a glasses shop to get the glass fitted in

You don't need fancy equipment to be a good team. You need three things, Movement, Communication, and Team Work. I am working on a video series on How to Play Airsoft. I played a game of 1v7 the large team have full auto guns and I had a training knife, a spring pistol and two mags. I had to play very smartly. I didn't expect to win but I never gave up. I was the last man standing and still had a mag left when it was all over.

  • @airsoftghost

Good job and well thought out. BTW, Revision does have an RX system that will allow prescription lenses to be mounted inside their goggles. Contact lenses may be a better answer. Good job! I have 2 sets of revisions and they work well, but the face pro mesh mask straps are a pain in the butt.
