Peace, Bishop Barron. Deep down, I am afraid of abandonment. I only wanted to be a wife and a mom when I was young. I went to school and got a master's degree to humor my Dad, so that I wouldn't be left without being able to get a good paying job. Now I'm poor again, a working disabled woman, and I get to go to school again. I still fear abandonment. People will do that-- abandon you, but God will never abandon you. That's what I have learned so far in my life. I hope that I will succeed in school-- getting my paramedic certification and renewed CDL; finding a job while I work on my Doctorate. Then hopefully teaching Psychology and Education in a college. I pray for myself and my family members -- that we all have healthy fear of hurting God. Thank you.
You are absolutely correct. Many people Will disappoint and abandon you but God never will. Amen! Thanks be to God. Congrats on getting your degrees. Nobody can take those away from you. With God on your side, no one can stop you now! Keep trusting and obeying God and you will be content. ❤🎉

Up at 3 am on a work day after a nightmare. A lot of terror surrounds me. Then a pints with Aquinas pops up in my feed cause I am a Tolkien fan and Peter Kreeft. Then scrolling down a few " Be not afraid". The Lord is mighty and steadfast. I Fear the Lord and praise him in his all. My strength is renewed . My peace is eternal. Bless you Father Bishop. Keep up the good fight. ❤
I have been feeling so afraid and lost lately. I feel afraid of life and what it has in store for me. I always worry about horrible things happening and feel totally un anchored. I have never been Catholic, but I have a rosary and the other night I thought of it and held it in my hand all night and it comforted me. I feel drawn to the Catholic faith and I’m wondering if it’s the anchor I need.
Beautiful sermon, Bishop Barron. There is much to be fearful of, and for me, the ONE thing I am afraid of is losing my soul. I am endeavoring to strengthen that part of me through prayer, detachment and learning. I know, unfortunately, how easy it is to fall so that your soul is in danger. Thank you for this reflection and for the reminder that there are men and women who have made that courageous choice to not lose contact with the Almighty by disregarding the danger to their flesh and appropriately safeguarding their souls. God bless you, Excellency.
I'm not afraid of being a Martyr like those he mentioned. I'm afraid of cranky drivers cutting me off on the road, irritable clients accusing me of being incompetent, angry family members making demands on me, wayward children leading immoral lives. . . It's all the little things that i fear, so i strike out in anger and hurt those around me. God have mercy on me.

Dearest Bishop Robert Barron, Good morning! A few weeks ago, I was struggling, and I eventually started to sense that fear inside of me was an attack by Satan meant to cripple my faith. And his attack was working because I was beginning to believe in Satan's agent. Whenever fear would assail me to distract my relationship with serving God, I tried to read the bible verses, but the fear didn't go away; since then, I have realized that many Christians experience similar challenges. Through the Sunday sermon, I find peace. I praise the Lord that I haven't doubted His saving work for turning my weaknesses into strengths and making it possible for me to live with Him and my family forever. Bishop, I pray that Jesus Christ continues to help me overcome fearful thoughts. Thank you for the Sunday sermon today and for praying for my family. God bless you all. St. pray for us. I do not want to fall away from our Loving God Bishop Barron!!! Despite not having any support from my family, my loved ones and not yet being part of a close community of believers within the Catholic Church. Also not yet participating in service for those who are in need for our Lord. To overcome the obstacles, the challenges I face within and those outside. To persevere regardless of the thoughts and the senses, that are trying to distance me from my God given Faith, to our Eternal Loving Father God, to our Loving Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to our Lord the Giver of Life, our Great Advocate, the Holy Spirit, and to the Catholic Church!!! Thank you Bishop Barron for this very important Sermon, and these questions we need to ask ourselves...And to TRUST our Lord Jesus Christ's WORDS...TO NOT FEAR what can kill the body BUT FEAR THE ONE WHO CAN KILL THE BODY AND SOUL!!! Our spirit, where God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit ABIDES and my spirit ABIDES IN GOD!!! I pray to the Lord God to keep me CLOSE TO HIM. Could you please pray with me too Bishop Barron?
Another wonderful sermon, really can relate to a lot of the topics mentioned as I’m going through so many things at the moment. Lately have been having such a hard time with things and people and this one hits home. A lot of my calm temperament comes from being faithful during my hardest times, prayers can go a long way but just knowing he’s there for me brings me peace on the daily. I like the metaphor of the castle of safety and peace. Thanks for the amazing message as always!
Thank you Bishop Barron. I tune in from Kenya and I am so proud of our brothers the Ugandans, our neighbours to the west and their great Saint Lwanga and 22 companions. They gave a resounding "no" to homosexual sin and their actions reverberate the world over especially in these perilous times. Thank you Sir.
Another powerful sermon, Bishop Barron. I love how you discuss the saints and they’re martyrdom. It makes me want to dive deeper into their lore. Kudos to you for making the Lord relevant to people of all ages in the here and now. ❤God bless all who hear this. Never fear, God is here. Always ready to forgive and love us forever. ❤❤❤
I feel brave and unafraid listening to the Bishop's wise and inspired words. Jesus grant us strength to carry our cross and Mother Mary thank you for showing us the way-the wisdom of asking for the gift of the fear of the Lord.
“….for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). Very fitting homily especially these days. This sermon’s wisdom combined with Bishop Barron’s video, The Mass, has been an unbelievable spiritual gift the past week. The latter was so riveting, I went back frequently to absorb its rich explanations, even took notes (never, ever do this) & shall revisit again. May blessings return 100 fold to you, Bishop Barron!
This relates to one of my favourite scriptures: “The world will make you suffer (my words: be afraid, feel fearful, anxious, worried). But be brave (my words: not afraid), I have overcome the world!” John 16:33 Wonderful homily. Thank you. St. Charles Lwanga and Pope St. John Paul II, pray for us!🙏
Bishop Barrons uses powerful examples of saints to demonstrate those who had fear of the Lord and could truly proclaim by their lives, "Be not afraid" in the midst of a world that gave reasons to fear. There is something sobering about how we can suffer eternal punishment if we deny God, even as we marvel that God has made a way for us to Eternal Life to strengthen us in the midst of whatever evil can come at us in this world. Yet all the world can do is kill our bodies, not our souls.
I often think of faith in God as having our love in order (the first and second greatest commandment). The bishop addresses this from another perspective, which is having our fears in order. Thank you Sir!
We can respect different opinions but in the end we must follow our conscience. To go against our conscience is neither safe or right . Bishop Strickland is a good and sincere man but he is not always correct and the same can be said about any Bishop. Don't ever follow any person blindly as you will fall into a ditch and get so disappointed . Simply follow Christ alone who is the true Light of the world and you will never walk in darkness and reach " The promised land " where God dwells eternally.
They with ears to hear, let them hear: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry. Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples! These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." Revelation 22:8-9 KJV 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.* 3 John 1:11 KJV 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.* 1 John 3:6-10 KJV 6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.* 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.* 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.* 10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

In your great love, answer me, O God, with your help that never fails. 3)Prayer for peace at Mass asking the Lord, who gives peace, to look not on our sins and grant the Church peace Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I give you; look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will. 4) Ask any priest about the above things.

I will admit I could not get through Interior Castle, and have been reading The Life of St. Theresa of Avila. But that one remark of yours, Bishop Barron, that is how she would’ve thought about a castle. Not like a Disneyfied version, but a defensive structure, a rampart. I’m not catholic but I’ve always wanted to learn more. Very good sermon! Usually we always stick to the churches we were raised and I’m ready to have a more open mind.

Thank you Bishop Barron . May GOD bless and protect you always. ➕️♥️
Bless. The. Lord
“As his body grew weaker, his faith grew stronger” • St John Fisher
I'm not afraid of being a Martyr like those he mentioned. I'm afraid of cranky drivers cutting me off on the road, irritable clients accusing me of being incompetent, angry family members making demands on me, wayward children leading immoral lives. . . It's all the little things that i fear, so i strike out in anger and hurt those around me. God have mercy on me.

Anxiety is the base line of our social media age. And this is the great dark side trick…to remove hope in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To take our eyes away from the Lord of Life. Fr Clive

Dearest Bishop Robert Barron,
Good morning!

Good morning, Bishop Barron. We know the yellow airplane pilot was a poor team player. Dominate work compilation and seek empathy to control every aspect. He has criminal delinquent behavior (narcissistic).
This is the true 'safe space'...
“GOD IS MY CHAMPION…” Yes, this brings me peace…🙏🙏🙏
What does it profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?! From our Good Lord Jesus Christ
I have always been Catholic. Go to church on sunday and holy days. Just going to confession regularly in the last few years. But not not a true journey with God until I was 77 years old. Bible in a year, twice, Catechism in a year, rosary daily, reading, daily mass. I regret waiting so long. Really taking part in the mass. Thank you Bishop ...
Better late than never!

God bless you Bishop Barron. Every Saturday tuned in from Calgary-Canada.
That was a powerful sermon on faith over fear. It’s difficult to listen to stories about the saints, but the stories are also very inspiring. ♥️✝️
All of your videos never fail to inspire and encourage me. You are one of the best preachers in the Church.
This is the best I have ever hears about Jersmiah.
Powerfully good for our soul.
God gave us Bishop Barron to enrich and open up our catholic faith.
THANK YOU

God said Fear ME I Fear God not death 🙏 God is wonderful giving ad Loving 🙏 Amen
"The Lord is My Shepherd, I shall not want..."
Please that we all go to confession much more frequently. God bless you greatly 🙏.
May the Uganda Martyrs pray for us. Amen.
God Bless you Bishop Barron! I needed to hear this today 🙏🏻 Jesus, I trust in You!
Encouraging homily, it made me reflect upon my fears and failings and our call to repentance. Viva Cristo Rey! God bless you. 🙏❤️🩹🕊️
Thank you Bishop Barron for your ALWAYS upliftimg sermons ❤
I feel brave and unafraid listening to the Bishop's wise and inspired words. Jesus grant us strength to carry our cross and Mother Mary thank you for showing us the way-the wisdom of asking for the gift of the fear of the Lord.
"Paper tigers." Wonderful way of putting it i to perspective ❤
“….for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). Very fitting homily especially these days. This sermon’s wisdom combined with Bishop Barron’s video, The Mass, has been an unbelievable spiritual gift the past week. The latter was so riveting, I went back frequently to absorb its rich explanations, even took notes (never, ever do this) & shall revisit again. May blessings return 100 fold to you, Bishop Barron!
Bishop Barron thank you so much for teaching on the reality of mortal sin. I’ve found many clergy don’t believe in it.
Thanks bishop its like a yesterday Mass the message I like that thanks ilove your tiching
Prayers for Bishop Strickland of Tyler Texas.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This relates to one of my favourite scriptures:
“The world will make you suffer (my words: be afraid, feel fearful, anxious, worried). But be brave (my words: not afraid), I have overcome the world!” John 16:33
Wonderful homily. Thank you.
You’re the best, Bishop Barron.
🔝🔝🔝
I often think of faith in God as having our love in order (the first and second greatest commandment). The bishop addresses this from another perspective, which is having our fears in order. Thank you Sir!
BE NOT AFRAID TO STAND UP AND SUPPORT BISHOP STRICKLAND, BISHOP BARRON!
Simply follow Christ alone who is the true Light
of the world and you will never walk in darkness and reach " The promised land " where God dwells eternally.
Mary Queen of a peace pray for us🙏
They with ears to hear, let them hear:
Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."
Revelation 22:8-9 KJV
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Acts 2:38 KJV
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 11:13 KJV
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
John 14:21-24 KJV
21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*
3 John 1:11 KJV
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.*
1 John 3:6-10 KJV
6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.*
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.*
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.*
10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

This is my prayer to you, my prayer for your favour. In your great love, answer me, O God, with your help that never fails.
3)Prayer for peace at Mass asking the Lord, who gives peace, to look not on our sins and grant the Church peace
Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I give you;
look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will.
4) Ask any priest about the above things.
God bless you🙏
Maintaining connection to God. Thank you ❤🙏
Hearing that Jeremiah reading, I interpreted "the one that could kill the body and the soul" as Satan, who will take the soul if you allow. So be afraid of Satan's temptations that can steal your soul. Do the opposite - always remain in the Lord who always saves my soul.
That was a good sermon. Thank you Bishop Barron.
Remember 1st Saturday devotion July 1. For Mary’s request at Fatima, to receive special graces 🙏
Thank you Father Baron🙏Godbless everyone I pray for all to find God🙏🫰🔥and keep their souls strong amen!
The Lord is my God and Saviour. He will have my soul since it is HIS to start with, my body will surely die, but my soul is HIS for Eternity.
When I heard the Scriptures this Sunday, I did also remember St John Paul II first words when becoming Pope: do not be afraid.
Jose Sanchez del Rio. He is from Sahuayo Michoacán which is where my parents are from. His story was very tragic and it was during the time where the Mexican government were persecuting Catholics. His faith was so beautiful. He is in God’s glory now.
Thanks Father. Greetings from Argentina
Dear Bishop, so inspiring Thank you .God Bless you!
Good sermon God bless you father
I want to be united with God.
Maintain a contact with the Lord at the level of your soul ' Bishop Barron'
I’m afraid of hearing “you wicked, lazy slave” for burying my talents and squandering opportunities…tho not in overt sin, just seemingly never making good choices. Learning to trust Him❤
How wonderful - Thank you for that.
Thank You .

Thanks be to God for BB who stands up against anti-Catholic bigotry while the rest of the clergy is too afraid to defend the faith. God bless you Bishop!
A well served life in the service of God a coredemptist in His Grand scale of things has no room on the fear of death! We should not afraid of losing our life what we should be afraid of is not living life! K
Lord, I need you. Oh I need you. Every hour, I need you.
Grow up
Amen Thank you for your sermons
Thank you from the kindness of your heart ♥
This is all everyone needs to know . This sermon right here. Nothing else. This is the main questions for every human being. God bless you Bishop Barron. 🙏🛐✝️
Wonderful message Bishop, thank you!! The only lasting relationship is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!❤
I will admit I could not get through Interior Castle, and have been reading The Life of St. Theresa of Avila. But that one remark of yours, Bishop Barron, that is how she would’ve thought about a castle. Not like a Disneyfied version, but a defensive structure, a rampart. That sheds a whole new light on what she was talking about. I will have to give it another try. Thank you.
Thank you Bishop Baron. It is an inspiring sermon.
Thank you so much for mentioning Saint Jose! I've been studying the Cristero War/ Mexico's persecution of Catholics, and I've been so frustrated with how little people know about it, especially my fellow Catholics!
