It was the golden age of Kannada cinema and music....most of the meaningful movies and songs were from those era....now it is rubbish.... wish a beautiful language like Kannada get back it's old Glory.👌🙏
During my early days in Bangalore(2007/08), these songs would be played on FM. I guess reto ratri or some program on radio mirchi. I would listen to them and learn new words and refine my Kannada. Today, we don't get to hear such songs at all. If one tunes into any channel , they would only hear Ads and noting else for more than 50% of the time.

Agree, music transcends all borders, regions. C Ashwath composed such melodies with least instruments, all his music had a touch of folklore, he is truly a legend. Massive respect 🙏🙏🙏

I recently had the opportunity to watch this movie on home video. Very well scripted, simplicity in narration and commendable performances by the actors. The music of course is unflawed. I was really awed by the cinematography for a "road movie". Possibly the first 'road movie' in Kannada Cinema. My only grouse was with the ending scene. Throughout, the filmmaker dons a progressive hat by showcasing the intricacies of female sexuality, interpersonal relationships. However abruptly in the end, he takes on the role of a moral police by leaving the female protagonist guilty for her deeds, which was completely uncalled for.
Hats off to everybody who had involved in making this music.My special mention goes to Lakshminarayana Bhatta. He never ceases to amaze me with his poetry. So 'bhavanatmaka'. He has been one of my favourites. Though I had enjoyed the sound of this song for over 35 years, today I totally concentrated on the lyrics and was spell bound. Thanks Lakshminarayana Bhatta.

I accidentally played the song and i have to confess i was just bowled over.. What melody.. use of language.. picturesque locations.. Did we really have such films in Kannada.. If so, why are we making such silly films now..??
@@buddysunny626 nope you can't blame audience for this, they have promptly shifted to other languages and the ones still watching current Kannada movies does it coz they don't understand other languages. The declining viewership of Kannada movies is the proof that it's not the audience's taste that's bad but the film makers who have gone both lazy and dumb.
In 1970's most of Kannada movies were produced in studios of Chennai (Madras then). Only experimental producers and directors dared to make movies in Karnataka, so money was always constraint. It was Shankarnag who was instrumental to bring Kannada film industry to Karnataka by setting up Sanket studio and Country club and many other ideas like metro, ropeway to Nandi hills etc.Not many will acknowledge this.
