I have amendments to make after reading some comments: 1. Caffeine is not objectively good or bad, if you use it in moderation and are a responsible adult, it should be fine, but gfuel and gamersupps are advertising to young people and people who do not need the extra energy. I was a bit harsh on it in the video so I apologize if it seems like I was being fear monger-y. You won’t die instantly if you drink it or anything just be aware that it messes with your body, as it is a stimulant. Also, adrenal fatigue isn’t a real thing, actual scientists have concluded that caffeine withdrawal is a real thing and is bad for minors. 2. Don’t use honey, it’s hilariously ironic but someone in the comments told me that they weren’t great and I looked into it and they’ve gotten pretty bad lately. If you're curious, you can look up how much data scraping they've been doing, and how deceptive they've been with their "Honey Gold" stuff. 3. Music Used: 8AM - Animal Crossing New Leaf 1PM - Animal Crossing New Leaf Dead Bird Studio - A Hat in Time Bamboo Island - The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Little Planet - Sonic CD Beneath The Mask Rain (instrumental) - Persona 5 Hideout 1st - Persona 5 Tactica Boarder 70 ( Something Jazzy For Your Mind) - Ollie King 4. I made a joke about it in the video, how I would use Displate if they didn’t sell AI slop, but they also haven’t cracked down on stolen art so I’m probably never going to use them after all. 5. On using the word “scam” in the title: When figuring out a title for this video, I wanted to find something shorthand that described the deceptive practices of these companies, especially in regards to Füm and AirUp, and the best word I could use was “scam.” I genuinely think that some of these could be considered scams, for the reason that they lie about their products and prey on vulnerable people.
I stopped using Honey long ago when they stopped giving me anything on any purchase. I got ONE coupon in the 4+ years I used honey, so I stopped using it and then they got WORSE?!?
I saved some money with honey, now it just bloats my chrome. It's infuriating especially since i recommended it to my mum right around when I noticed it going to shit.
I’ll stand by manscaped, I ruin normal clippers all the time but my whatchamacallit from them has lasted well, that being said having to charge something kinda sucks
As soon as I hear “this video’s spons…” I just rapidly smash my finger against the screen until I get to the end of the ad and get back to what I actually clicked on the video for
On the füm thing, their basic advertising, to help you stop smoking, is insulting to smokers because it's not taking into account the chemical dependency of it. It's not just sticking things in our mouths. It's like advertising root beer as a way to fight alcoholism.
The science is correct, though. They need to quit smoking with vaping because you can actually lower the amount of nicotine you're receiving. After you've lowered your nicotine to a minimal level, then you look at fum. You need to decrease the dependence on the nicotine before dealing with the "hand ti mouth" action that acts as a secondary dependence. Still think fum is stupid though.
Not sure about that. I used to smoke up to two packs a day, and when I quit, I didn't know what to do with my hands. I also used double doses of nicotine patches to take care of the chemical part.

I fell into the BetterHelp trap last year, and it was highly not worth any of the money I spent. The chick I got showed up for one meeting, then continued to give excuses as to why she couldn't attend the other scheduled meetings. Plus, she was pretty distracted by her dog and other outside factors that compromised the quality of the meeting. Also, when you cancel your membership, you lose all access to the chats and documents shared between you and your therapist. So you don't even have an archive of the resources you once had if you didn't save them before cancelling. Not to mention their cancellation process is highly manipulative. They practically make you "admit" that you don't want to better yourself or your mental state anymore if you cancel. If I weren't so fed up with my lack of care during my time, I probably would've been guilted into keeping the subscription purely because of their wording. On the 1 year anniversary of me cancelling my membership, BH emailed me and asked if I was "ready to continue my jounrey to bettering myself". Like fvck off... Betterhelp is the single most evil one, no debates. Messing with depression, suicide, and mental health, is just something you do not do. Taking advantage, and disregarding people suffering from those groups is actual evil. Jacksfilms did that, TWICE, one time being after the whole thing surfaced, which puts his character into seriously questionable place, and recently, a case that I know of, there is now Maven Huffman, a former wrestler that has been growing a lot lately as a youtuber, and claims to take honesty and transparency very seriously.

Shout-out to the couple of months when Manscaped plastered their ads all over Tumblr, the website with perhaps the least overlap between "people with balls" and "people who identify as men"
As someone who is not a man but has balls, manscaped has always seemed very strange to me. Like, I just use regular disposable razors and they do the job just fine. Does it really matter if your razor has a name with the word "man" in it?
I remember people buying adspace on tumblr and boosting posts that read stuff like, "you're welcome you're looking at something other than balls" or "IDK I gave tumblr money to make the ballscapers go away" or "since they want to advertise balls to us, here's my cat" and it's just a picture of someone's kitten they took a pic of sleeping or something
Unless I'm able to see their board, their and their financial statements, I'm not buying into a sponsored product (unless it's something like a free to play game, in which I'll try it and go from there)
@@zdelrod829I would honestly disagree with this sentiment too. I played War Thunder for the first time in 2020, which is a free to play game. Didn’t hear about it from anyone or anywhere, just saw it in the store and picked it up. Fast forward a couple years and now it’s a common sponsor on channels, even though I don’t watch any gaming channels so, it’s probably much more common on channels within the target audience. Anyways, it is the grindiest game I’ve played in my entire life, save for mobile games. It takes years to progress to the point where you have the top rated (basically, best and most advanced) vehicles in the game, even though the ads I’ve seen have all featured jets and modern tanks. You start out with biplanes and tanks leftover from the First World War (a century ago now!). It takes an incredible amount of time to reach the vehicles featured in any of the ads, that is, unless you purchase a ‘Premium’ account (spend money) to help you progress, or purchase ‘Premium’ vehicles (spend more money) to buy the vehicles outright. For example, a single jet fighter to buy if you load up the game from fresh can literally run you $50-70+. One singular aircraft. It’s a very predatory model of free-to-play. I will concede it is a very fun game at times, especially if you don’t focus on ‘the grind’, but without spending money or a considerable amount of time grinding, you will never even get to play anything you saw in the ads. To me, that’s a ‘bad sponsor’.
I think something that a lot creator should do more often. Is actually buy the product first, before agreeing to sponsors it. I think a lot of creator are disconnected with actually experience with purchasing the product, that there fan base will have to do.
yeah i was super skeptical about gfuel for that same reason. less so for gamersupps. mostly cuz a few of my friends used it and even sent me a trial package. i dont like the caffeine ones tho so i always order caffeine free. even took it to work because all we had was a coffee maker.

9:01 For the record, nicotine gum HAS been taken up by non-smokers recently, and vapes were also originally designed to help people quit smoking and ended up introducing teens to smoking.
I have ADHD which is unmedicated because my BMI is too low. I considered taking up nicotine gum to get through my studies since caffeine can only take me so far.
I used a vape in the early 2010s to quit smoking. You get to step down the nicotine levels all the way to zero, and then you eventually stop using the vape, natually. You dont even realize you stopped until days later. It worked like a charm for me. But I actually WANTED to quit. Nobody else I knew used them to quit. It was just a new addiction for them. Shrug.

@@Rahmoparmo sure, the 4 hours is average, taking into consideration consumption of other things, like other drinks or food. Manscape and füm are particularly evil to me. Manscape targets people’s insecurities, a lot of their ads harp on them even, then charge obscene amounts for their products. Füm specifically targets people with addictions, who may be vulnerable to jumping on any product that claims to help them recover. It’s just despicable to target those who are already vulnerable, knowing they’re more likely to dump tons of money on a product that they see every creator they look up to push so heavily.
Füm is especially f'd up, you should not inhale straight up essential oils, they are very potent and dose makes the poison. Science is still catching up on essential oils, but so far there are a lot of them that have very questionable safety.
Yes I hate manscaped for that reason. Screw them for trying to invent reasons to feel less and then sell a product to "fix" an issue that never existed and they are creating. Companies have been targeting women doing the same thing for decades now and that is equally disgusting. It was so obvious when manscaped was doing it. Not funny ads at all.
I understand villifying companies that target people's insecurities, but basically every product marketed to women preys on their insecurities. @@mostlyghostey What do you mean? There is me, DeviBuster, and the creator of this video "batting an eye" at Manscaped. I think they absolutely are being called out and should continue to do so! And we should stand up for women being "pink taxed" and manipulated by advertisers too!
@@XanderCat Oh sorry, I think I worded the previous message in a way that was difficult to interpret. I was feeling heated. I meant the youtubers who advertise for these companies. And I'm talking about continuing to advertise after any contracts should have expired. That's what I meant by people not batting an eye. I agree that they absolutely should be called out.
The funny thing is that this one was a scam that’s being going on for decades, targeted by a few Scottish shysters against clueless Americans. I feel like Taco Bell should be all over the place online, by now a bunch of proper players should all be in on this action, but no. It's just this weird junk that belongs right in the trash.
The thing with legitimate brands, is that they’re typically already well known and already have adverts and sponsorships all over. Plus, YT sponsorships have built up somewhat of a bad reputation that advertizers don’t want to touch.
because its the most reliable way for startups to advertise their new product, get someone who already has an audience of regular listeners that trusts their content creator to vouch for the product. and the youtubers are likely to accept it because everyone wants extra money

Given the hell on earth I've seen people in due to drug addiction, it sounds like a poorly written line on the surface but it's actually deeply accurate.
i've always had an issue with Air Up because the tactic of smelling something "good" while youre consuming something you dont wanna consume is heavily associated with disordered eating. a lot of people with eating disorders have heard something like "your tastebuds rely on smell for taste, so smell cake and eat broccoli to stay skinny and still feel like you're eating cake". i know its water so its different, but i feel like blurring those lines is so wrong for people who already have eating disorders.
the brain strongly associates smells with things so if you eat broccoli but smell oranges you probably are more likely to puke than enjoy your broccoli because brain registers mixed flavours and is like: what the fork? Something's wrong. I have stomach neurosis and no, that doesn't work. The smell of a cake will prepare your brain to eat a cake. If you eat broccoli well - be prepared for your stomach to feel queasy.
I thought it was an interesting idea until I knew it involved essential oils as I know the vast majority shouldn't be ingested. P.S Yes good point about eating disorders. Its a bad idea in general to have the taste but not the satiety, its bad for physical health as the stomach produces acids to digest food but doesn't receive it. & Yes its also bad mentally.
I know people who try to get off their soda addictions, but they struggle with just plain water. When you're used to carbonatef sugared drinks, drinking water can feel like your depriving yourself of something. So, some of them end up not drinking enough. If something like air up helps people stay hydrated, that's absolutely fair. Of course, a spritz of lemon juice from the bottle could do the same for much cheaper AND maybe healthier.
Buy several cheap products rebrand them in your branding and spend the rest of your 100 dollars on marketing and advertising. This is how capitalism came to be and considering everyone can do it without regulation is alarming

I actually remember a TH-camr being sponsored by Established Titles, but once word of the company's actions got out, he gave all the money to charity and stopped supporting them. The Click is so based.
I remember people advertising for them well after word got out, and seeing comments telling them what was up. The biggest offenders are celebrity podcasts. Rogan and a lot of others still take sponsorships from better help despite having a million other sponsors. They just dont pay attention to whats going on with sponsors, and they dont read comments.
Click is one of the only reasons I still have some faith in TH-camrs. If ever came out that this guy is all show and not a Swedish Engineer-gone-TH-camr-Secret-Furry, I will tech-detox and never trust anyone anymore. There is someone YT should promote, yet they go for Evil-Guys-Nobody-Likes-Inc. with the Three Stooges.

The funny thing about these sponsored ads segments in YT videos is that TH-cam somewhat recently has been experimenting with their YT Premium service to provide a retroactive skip button that brings up a button to skip a segment of a video based on the data collected on the parts viewers skipped (it appears when you are scrubbing through a video on mobile via double screen taps on either sides) , which in most cases skips these sponsored ads (not sure if its only a mobile thing or available in the US, YT Premium offerings are different depending on regions)

As someone who has already been addicted to caffeine through Red Bull and Monster, Gamersupps has actually been a great alternative for me, it's cheaper than canned drinks in the long run, and I end up drinking less of it overall since the comedown is no where near as bad. I also feel better drinking it since it's mostly water, it's still not healthy by any means, but has to be a lot better than drinks like monster that make your piss look radioactive.
I’m actually really happy for you then! I see it more like how the internet treated bang for a little while, where they heavily marketed it as healthy when it wasn’t

i think that there are some sponsors that aren’t too bad, even if they come off as a bit predatory. I use scentbird because cologne is ungodly expensive and it’s not an awful price for a month and a half supply, but i can definitely see where people are coming from
I am sick of this professional era of TH-cam, constant shit ads, terrible sponsorships and shilling. TH-cam was much better when it was mainly just random people making funny videos and enthusiasts doing videos for fun or as a way to share knowledge.
Funny thing is that I think youtube is like this now because of the garbage channels from 2016 to 2019 that were genuinely public menaces, But of course youtube is still garbage
It's just really disheartening to know that all these companies have been called out for just being crappy. Like can we get back to US based and manufactured products that don't SUCK and take advantage of their customers?? 😮💨😮💨😮💨
What really bothers me is channels who are praising themselves on intensive research about the topics they talk about, but then advertise for a cash grabbing sponsor?
Videos like this are why, every time I start to think "huh, maybe I'll try that sponsor out", I make myself spend at least 20-30 minutes doing research on them before even going to the website, and if my research comes back clean I still make sure to read all the fine print on the website. This method has saved me from ever using or buying from any sponsor I've ever checked into lol. A few months ago I decided to check out Fum since I'm getting to the point where I'm afraid of the long term effects of my vaping, and the amount of bad shot I read about essential oil inhalation combined with the fact that they VERY CAREFULLY point out that their product is NOT MEANT TO BE INHALED (in the fine print, of course, and nowhere in their sponsor reads) led me to steer well clear of them. I mean, you're advertising a tool for smoking cessation that is meant to mimic smoking, yet it can't be inhaled? That's bogus right out of the gate.
That should be revised. If many youtubers are peddling it, even if it’s completely unrelated to what their channel is about, it’s garbage. 50-50 if the company only sponsors a small handful of creators that are running channels related to the product.
My personal grudge with manscape is that made youtubers stop in the middle of video to talk about shaving their balls, and like, am i the weird one ? am i the oversensitive snowflake from conservative rural Poland for not wanting for youtuber i'm watching to stop talking about topic and start talking how he shaves his balls and i should too besides the fact my entertainment just got interrupted but also because hearing how said youtuber shaves his balls is just kinda uncomfortable ?
I'm from Vienna, lived my whole life there, my opinions on politics and life would get me the "left, liberal scum" label from some people and I feel the same. Like, I just want to watch a nice video to relax at home or keep me entertained while I'm in public transport and not get a recommendation on what I should use to shave my (non-existant) balls.
I got scammed by AirUp and it was sadly from Game Theory. MatPat talked about the product so often and repeated that he wasn’t sponsored, he just actually loved the product, so I trusted him. I really hope he actually likes the product and wasn’t lying
I mean, it's very illegal for a creator to accept money to advertise a product without explicitly telling their viewers that they are being paid to do so, at least where I live. So if he did lie, he's guilty of a crime
How is that Stuff even supposed to work? Water that is actually supposed to have a fruity Taste also almost to 100% just tastes like normal Water. Can't imagine the Scent Thing to improve it more than that. Also as someone who supposedly belongs to their Target Audience, I'd rather buy normal Drinks instead of trying something that might not even work very well
@@Firestar-TV There is a science behind the product, so it isn’t 100% snake oil. Colors and smells definitely impact our sense of taste. The scam is the fact that they made the product sound like it drastically changed the perceived taste of the water when it barely impacted it at all. I guess for a person who already like drinking water, it’s a nice little treat and can help you go from drinking a few cups to the actually recommended amount, but for people who don’t really like water to begin with (which the ads targeted) it doesn’t help at all.
@@jupitersnoot4915 Yeah, that’s the main reason why I trusted him. MatPat 100% knows about that law so this was an actual endorsement of the product. He was even talking about it before it got big and was just small start up. From what I know about MatPat, he is a water drinker which this product is really only useful for. Despite all the advertisements claiming it will help non water drinkers start drinking more water, the smell isn’t enough to change the perceived taste so it does nothing for them. But for people that already drink water often, that subtle change is probably enough for them to actually enjoy it.
I skip them all anyway coz I'm Australian, on the rare chance they even ship here, the shipping would cost as much if not more than the products themselves.
The better help one really pissed me off. The number of channels that take their money whose messages are diametrically opposed to what they’ve done is astounding. Good work! This was a good watch!
Haha this is what happened to me with a creator and they reacted to the comments confronting her about their ethical conduct and such, with a statement from THE COMPANY ITSELF.
@@hellomydude2558Oh, wow. I had one creator delete my very cautiously worded advice to anyone considering BH. That passed me even more than the sponsorship itself.

What happened to my comment? Can't have been deleted by the channel? Ironically, it was about a creator deleting my comment, asking people who consider BetterHelp to educate themselves first.
while it is sad, I at least take solace in the fact that youtubers who do better help sponsorships get a LOT of pushback from their audience, and many will straight up remove the sponsored section of their video, even apologize for being uninformed. it doesn't necessarily make it okay, it's still the responsibility of creators to do their research before sponsoring it to their audience, but silver lining at least it is something that audience members care enough abt for it to be on the creators radar.
I appreciate that people are finally starting to call out Sponsors. Honestly I had no idea how expensive some of them were until these videos started popping up, since I’d genuinely never bothered checking the websites.

I bought an AirUp due to me wanting to drink more water since i love myself sugary drinks. So i bought a bottle and some AirPods and turns out it worked great! Til you realised that as soon as u stop taking a sip, all you taste is silicone and plastic. the bottles are so cheaply made and now i just drink tea with icecubes.
OMG LITERALLY. i found the bottle and silicone lid part was quite difficult to clean too. ended up just teaching myself to get used to plain water, its alot more convenient lol
hey look I was also an addict of sugary drinks three years ago but if you wanna quit here’s some advice: •since drinking water felt like a chore what made it better was drinking sparkling water with lemon slices •drink some homemade orange juice •coffee and hot tea without sugar and in moderation are also good •and strong mind and willpower to resist the urge to drink cola, sprite and shit like that hope this helps
On the tea point, that's what I don't understand about things like AirUp. The entire market for it could just carry around a lil baggie of herbs and dried fruits they like the flavour of (ie a herbal/fruit tea), dump them in water, swish it around and that'll be better, cheaper and more flavourful than something like AirUp (since you're actually tasting, not just smelling). A dash of cocktail bitters works too, but those are alcoholic so I can understand not wanting to even though it's just a few drops of 40%. Cold-brewed herbal/fruit tea is literally the oldest form of flavoured water. Put something flavourful in water, and the water tastes like that thing.
That was a good point about fun I haven't heard anyone else bring up yet. I recently became allergic to tea tree oil after using a soap infused with it. Imagine if the same had happened in my lungs.
@@antoguino in my case I didn't find out I was allergic, I became allergic. I was using it to prevent skin infections after training jiujitsu, but my torn up skin being repeatedly exposed to this oil sensitized me to it and I developed an extremely aggressive blistering rash. Thank you for mentioning opera. I remember researching the company before opera gx existed, and I found that the company was well known to be very sketchy then. After opera gx came out, everybody had forgotten about this, probably because their target demographic didn’t even know in the first place.
There's been disputed stuff but as far as I'm aware opera is largely fine. It's been a hot minute but I remember doing pretty large deep dives into them. I'm pretty sure they make their money from your data, but let's be honest, so does every social media site, as well as Google, which we're using (TH-cam) right now.
This is why even I, as a small creator, take the time to individually research EVERY sponsorship offer I receive. Any time I get a sponsorship email I do research on the company and the people who run it. I read the sponsorship contract eagerly and I even have my own contract stating what I can and cannot say or promote. My audience is mostly young teens, and as such it’s important for me to keep my brand identity appropriate for that age so I have regularly turned down offers from “adult-centric” companies as those products are not appropriate to show my audience. I also only accept money and have refused offers that just send me products. The only time I would accept a product offer is if it’s something I would use, which hasn’t happened yet. Setting a standard for yourself early on as a creator will give you lots of integrity early on and not only build trust with your audience, but also prevent unnecessary drama and scandals in the future. No matter how small your channel is, you have an impact. And it’s your utmost responsibility to make sure you’re doing the right thing always.
Nice. I wonder how bigger creators feel about this, why they refuse to invest any research into products they advertise, do they simply not care about the influnce it has and just want the bag?
The amount of people who have kids in their audience and take adult sponsorships drives me nuts. People like Funky Frog Bait saying "I know I have kids in my audience " until called out and then refuse to age gate videos with sex toy demonstrations is nuts
I had to go read the NSF report for Fum myself. The NSF is a legitimate organization that is used by regulatory bodies to verify the safety of products to be used in food production. I'm a government employed food inspector. I regularly cross check new chems to ensure they're NSF certified. With that said, being NSF certified does not mean safe for eating, inhaling, ect. The steel cleaner we use in the plant is NSF certified. You can't eat that. Fum using them is incredibly misleading and the report itself says the material is intended to be smelled and not vaporized. If that's the case I can sniff my glade air freshener for the same effect. And it's cheaper.
I have amendments to make after reading some comments:
3. Music Used:
8AM - Animal Crossing New Leaf
1PM - Animal Crossing New Leaf
Dead Bird Studio - A Hat in Time
Bamboo Island - The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Little Planet - Sonic CD
Beneath The Mask Rain (instrumental) - Persona 5
Hideout 1st - Persona 5 Tactica
Boarder 70 ( Something Jazzy For Your Mind) - Ollie King
4. I made a joke about it in the video, how I would use Displate if they didn’t sell AI slop, but they also haven’t cracked down on stolen art so I’m probably never going to use them after all.
5. On using the word “scam” in the title:
When figuring out a title for this video, I wanted to find something shorthand that described the deceptive practices of these companies, especially in regards to Füm and AirUp, and the best word I could use was “scam.” I genuinely think that some of these could be considered scams, for the reason that they lie about their products and prey on vulnerable people.
Mad respect for the amendments! I was actually coming to check if someone corrected you on the honey ad part
I stopped using Honey long ago when they stopped giving me anything on any purchase. I got ONE coupon in the 4+ years I used honey, so I stopped using it and then they got WORSE?!?
I'm pretty sure caffeine is literally just objectively bad for you. Not horrible but calling it not bad is like objectively false.
I saved some money with honey, now it just bloats my chrome. It's infuriating especially since i recommended it to my mum right around when I noticed it going to shit.

Yeah I could never wrap my head around that one. Oral fixation thing I guess?
@tetrasphere8165 exactly it. Repetition soothes the brain somehow. Chewing gum, biting nails, grinding teeth. They're all oral fixations
Not sure about that. I used to smoke up to two packs a day, and when I quit, I didn't know what to do with my hands.
I also used double doses of nicotine patches to take care of the chemical part.

Yeah it kinda disappointed when one of my favourite TH-camrs kept on allowing BetterHelp to sponsor him.
It's incredibly predatory, especially to such a susceptible group of people that NEED actual help. It disgusts me, through and through.

Betterhelp is the single most evil one, no debates. Messing with depression, suicide, and mental health, is just something you do not do. Taking advantage, and disregarding people suffering from those groups is actual evil. And it pains me to see creators turning a blind eye to thay, specially ones that like to keep a "good genuine guy" image.

@@zdelrod829 i don't play free to play games, be it a sponsorship or not. They're inherently not designed to be fun for everyone playing it

@ccaagg i have adhd too and use vape pens and gum. Never really was a smoker except an occasional cigar

So unless we all start villifying them too (Which has started to happen but isn't picking up speed) no one is going to bat an eye at manscaped for doing the exact same thing.
@@mostlyghostey What do you mean? There is me, DeviBuster, and the creator of this video "batting an eye" at Manscaped. I think they absolutely are being called out and should continue to do so! And we should stand up for women being "pink taxed" and manipulated by advertisers too!

-Actual Mario for Real
That specific line from the Super Show is still one I reference today
though sometimes I say "you will see hell before you die" for variation
Given the hell on earth I've seen people in due to drug addiction, it sounds like a poorly written line on the surface but it's actually deeply accurate.
i've always had an issue with Air Up because the tactic of smelling something "good" while youre consuming something you dont wanna consume is heavily associated with disordered eating. a lot of people with eating disorders have heard something like "your tastebuds rely on smell for taste, so smell cake and eat broccoli to stay skinny and still feel like you're eating cake". i know its water so its different, but i feel like blurring those lines is so wrong for people who already have eating disorders.
my partner was literally just talking to me about this
Omg that’s such a good point
the brain strongly associates smells with things so if you eat broccoli but smell oranges you probably are more likely to puke than enjoy your broccoli because brain registers mixed flavours and is like: what the fork?

@@Firestar-TV There is a science behind the product, so it isn’t 100% snake oil. Colors and smells definitely impact our sense of taste. The scam is the fact that they made the product sound like it drastically changed the perceived taste of the water when it barely impacted it at all. while it is sad, I at least take solace in the fact that youtubers who do better help sponsorships get a LOT of pushback from their audience, and many will straight up remove the sponsored section of their video, even apologize for being uninformed. it doesn't necessarily make it okay, it's still the responsibility of creators to do their research before sponsoring it to their audience, but silver lining at least it is something that audience members care enough abt for it to be on the creators radar.

•drink some homemade orange juice
•coffee and hot tea without sugar and in moderation are also good
•and strong mind and willpower to resist the urge to drink cola, sprite and shit like that

Oh boy, if only the world is as simple as that statement
And the sun sets in the east.
Awesome. Keep up the ethical behavior
