    Great upgrade! I figured you may install this. It looks super helpful on clearance, and the TRD bash plate is a nice scale touch! This came out too late for me, I’ve already got belly skids.

      It really does improve the clearance as long as you are running tires at or less than 4 inch tall (100mm). I haven't tried to run it with Class 1 tires, so not sure if it will work. Great IFS modification.

      @@BigSungHobbies my 35” km3s in real life rub straight on my inner fender. Safe to say a little km3 can make contact with a Toyota rc body. but hey that’s just me. very informative video regardless thank you for the time you put into helping us out.

    Great idea. But remember to go to knight customs as minifactory is usually twice the price

      Thanks. It's pretty straightforward job, but it does take time. Since you are using 3d printed part, just make sure to not overtighten them.

    RCLT HD the way to go (Marlin Crawler suspension) put in 1:10 Scale.

      Thanks for the info. I never heard of it before, so just looked it up. It seems to be a good choice for 1:1, but not sure if they actually sell this for 1:10 scale. I know Element RC took IFS kit off the market...maybe they are working on version 2.

    I installed the Knight’s IFS kit on my Knightrunner too, I used the lower A arms from Knights as well? Wondering why you didn’t? Is there an advantage to retaining the stock lower arms? Thanks. 👍🏼

      @BigSungHobbies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wasn't aware that there was a lower A arms from Knight Customs. Do you have a link to Myminifactory that you can share?

      @@BigSungHobbies I don’t, a local crawler downloaded and printed the parts for me.

      Thanks. I figure the lower A arms are going to get banged up. Having a stock arms might not be a bad idea here, but it would be interesting to get more details on it.

    Great Video. I just started getting into RC and just picked up Element Trailrunner. I saw your vids on the Trailrunner too and was wondering what you think is better upgrade to get more clearance, the 4.19” tires or this Knights custom IFS mod?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the great question. Although I haven't tried this directly with Trailrunner, I think both the Knights Customs IFS mod and the 4.19" tires might work out. The body and bumper for Trailrunner is a bit different than the Knightrunner, and I think both might work on Trailrunner. If you know anyone that might have 4.19" tires that you can try out, I would recommend that.

      Thanks for the feedback. I’ve just started out so I don’t really know anyone in the hobby yet. But I am in the Bay Area so maybe I’ll run into you some time.

    The servo is in the same spot? and we never saw you take 5mm of driveshaft out ?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that on mine it fit without removing 5mm from driveshaft. So I tried it, but it felt too snug for comfort, so I ended up removing 5mm at a later time after the video was posted. Good catch.

    Will I be able to install 2.2 tires?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not if you plan to keep the Knightrunner body. I have used 4.92" tires on the Element Trailrunner using the Proline Gladiator body, but that did not have IFS modification done to it, so I am not sure if that will impact it or not.
