Ohtani is everything that is right about sports, respect for the traditions, respect for the game , respect for the players and respect for the fans . When an organization does things the right way, why should they be punished. Every team can follow this concept , that the team comes first. The fan base is important . That morality and family is important .. the Dodgers let go of Puig and Trevor, and any player who plays the game to build only their personal status. Go Dodgers

You also forgot to add in Machado on that list. Dodgers let him go bcz hes not a good fit. Padres worship that clown like a leader and that clown thinks hes the leader of the clubhouse and thats why he and Soto didnt get along and they ruined 2023 season for the Padres. Dodgers dont need any of those toxic clowns.

I would say eventually he will get there, but it will probably be like Ichiro. It’s good to have a translator there so that any important context and nuances don’t get lost while communication, and Ohtani seems like a very deliberate person.
On the plus side, he started answering many of the questions asked in this interview before Will even got a chance to translate to him! So his grasp on understanding English has improved leaps and bounds over the past year. Just gotta work on sending the message back in English

Last year, Shohei was asked about margaritas by an interviewer, and he answered, thinking it was a pizza margherita.

You know that Shohei is a person who solely purpose living in USA is just to play baseball. He doesn't want any troubles that can disrupt his concentration for playing baseball. Including misunderstanding from what he said in an interview. Dude also has a perfectionist trait. When in public, he feels more comfortable speaking in his language rather than speaking with broken English. So, I would say, let him speak with whatever language he wants. We attracted to him not for his speaking language, but for his baseball talent.
