I have often wondered if other singers get nervous doing a collaboration with HF knowing they are a cappella. NO INSTRUMENTS !! Guest: wait, you want to colab with me ? But you don't have a band. Adam: I got ya'. What instrument do you want ? Drums? Guitar? Banjo? Digory Doo ? Harmonica? All of them ? Okay, lets go !!!😅😅😂😂
Yes!! Love how they pass the torch to their guest artist(s). Travis and Amy have outstanding voices and blend phenomenally with Home Free! I can see why this song is so popular in Australia!
Home Free has no problem with collaborators using instruments. There have been several songs including instruments, often played by the guest artists. The may be a cappella, but they are not against instruments.
@@barbarakennedy2667 I assume you accidentally hit reply on this comment or the one I replied to. Neither of us mentioned anything about instrumental usage with/without collaborators. On that note, I have no issue either way. In fact, I appreciate and accept the change when they do use an instrument. Heck! I forget most of the time there are no instruments because they are excellent at their craft!
Amy and her siblings are the group Sheppard, Geronimo (say Geronimo) & Travis is a multi Golden Guitar recipient. Home Free performed at CMC Rocks in March in Qld, so I am guessing this collaboration sprang from there.
Home Free always showcases the people they collaborate with. One of the many things I love about Home Free. Home Free met Travis and Amy when they performed at the Australian country music festival. When Home Free performed on Studio 10 in Australia they mentioned they would be doing a collaboration with Travis and Amy. I've been waiting for this since watching that show.
I think Home Free usually takes a backseat when they ask people to collaborate with them. When they are asked to collaborate with another artist they get more of a spotlight put on them. I think this is a great way to showcase talent. Loved the song. Thanks for reacting to Home Free.
DJ i couldn't wait to see your reaction to this. Please do explore Amy & Travis' music !!! Home Free many times has shined the light on their guest...Jeffrey East in "People" a song I'd love to see you react too, and their recent collab with Brooke Eden on Delta Dawn !!! People is a Jeffrey East original....and the lyrics are so dang good, and the video is awesome....shows the life of this same apartment (flat) over 50 years.
They seem to always give the guest shine. I'm not sure how they got together but what an amazing collaboration. Travis and Amy sing separately as far as I know. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
This song was new to me but I'm falling in love with it. Knowing you are from Australia, I have been waiting to see your reaction to this and was not dissapointed. I believe the guys got acquainted with Travis and Amy while touring Australia. Beautiful song performed to perfection. Home Free keep pulling new songs out of that rabbit hole, each one a unique surprise. Have to wait to see what they do next.
I'd never heard of Travis, Amy or the song; however, I've read that the song is a standard in Australia. I can understand why - it's just beautiful. The song, singing, harmonies, beatboxing & scenery are simply fantastic. I hope HF puts it on their next CD! I love the exposure that HF provides to other singers - it's kind, generous & so them. Thanks for playing this & your comments.
I have read that Rickie Lee Jones,an American singer songwriter, who wrote this song is thrilled that Australia has embraced it with such love. She wrote it for her daughter. Thanks!!
I absolutely love this cover of the song. I'm an American though...and I was patiently waiting for your reaction to see if it is acceptable being that the song is an Australian standard. I am glad you loved it also...I also fallow your fellow Aussie Lyle at PatrolNation and he was just as happy with it. Thank you for the great reaction an have yourself a great week!!!!
HF nearly always really features the artists they collab with. Like Delta Dawn (Brooke Eden), Givin up on You (Texas Hill), Don't Laugh at Me (Mark Wills), One Voice (Billy Gilman) - pick any of their collabs and you will see a spotlight on the other(s), not on HF. Austin is really good at making his voice cry. Whether it is natural or part of his theatrical training, I don't know. But he has mastered it. You heard it in Bring Him Home, but "I'm not Supposed to Love You", "Tears in Heaven", "Neon Moon"...all of those show it, too.
This song was absolutely beautiful once again Home Free does it again.. they all sounded amazing together.. Adam Rupp was outstanding on this song which he is on every song butt oh my gosh he was absolutely amazing.... Love my boys 🏡🆓🏡🍟
Beautiful song! I had never heard it before. Nice to be introduced to 2 Australian singers Travis Collins & Amy Sheppard. Home Free does a great collaboration as always. I felt like everyone added something special to this song including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion. And love seeing the beautiful Australian countryside & animals.
What a great (new to me) song! I can see why it’s a standard Down Under! The layering and harmonies are fantastic and Adam’s percussion, etc. Is simply outstanding! I appreciate how Home Free is so generous to take a backseat when featuring other artists, allowing them to shine. 🎶🥳
Won't be home to watch the reaction because I'll be watching the boys LIVE but I'll check your reaction (which I'm sure will be great as always) when I get back. Enjoy the song. It's beautiful.
New song to my ears and it was so good! I will have to look up Travis and Amy, beautiful voices! I couldn’t wait for your reaction to this and it didn’t disappoint! Thank you so much! ❤️
I don’t know the song but I love it. It’s got me dancing and singing right along. Love Travis and Amy and of course Austin and the HF boys! Adam was great with the beat. Yeah I really like Travis’ voice. Good one DJ!😍
travis collins is an australian country singer and amy sheppard is an australian singer who is part of the band called sheppard which is her and her siblings
A wonderfully swinging collaboration by Home Free with this two great singers from Down Under, Travis Collins and Amy Sheppard! This will make you happy. Especially when you see the video of the beauty of nature. I do understand why part of my family emigrated from the Netherlands to Australia and don't want to go back
Another fun collaboration by Home Free, so glad they added these two Travis and Amy. What beautiful scenery that tied in so well with the lyrics. Home Free never does it half assed, always have every aspect of the presentation melding in unity and ties everything together. Fun project and it is so Home Free!!! ❣
By the Way, I saw that you watched Dan Vasc's version of "Amazing Grace ". Now you MUST check out Pentatonix's version of "Amazing Grace. Can't wait to see YOUR reaction to that. It will be EPIC !!!
I'm wondering if Travis or Amy are Austrailian, (of course I know DJ is). I'm wonderiing because the video included emus and kangaroos, and maybe a gaggle of wallaby, I'm not sure. I am pretty sure none of those animals are native to Texas, but certainly not to Minnesota or anywhere else frequnted by Home Free. Ah, DJ solvied my confusion at the end, thanks.
I hate to burst your bubble, but this song is NOT Australian. It's 100% American. The Horses" is a song written by Rickie Lee Jones and Walter Becker. It was originally performed by Jones on her 1989 album, Flying Cowboys

I love how pleased and excited our Australian reactors are to see this. It's beautiful!
Home Free never takes the spotlight when they collaborate ❤❤
Home Free is great about showcasing the artists they feature.
Home Free always showcase the artist they collab with. They are just loaded with class and humility.
So impressed by the way that Home Free shines a spotlight on the people they collab with. Another great one here.
Yes!! Love how they pass the torch to their guest artist(s). Travis and Amy have outstanding voices and blend phenomenally with Home Free! I can see why this song is so popular in Australia!

Home free and voice play are the kings of this.

I’ve watched other reactions to this song but getting your reaction, where you gave a history/background to this song makes all the difference.

How could I have forgotten Jeffrey in my list!!
Yes for People!
When Travis starts shining with them, it reminds me of them shining with Texas Hill. They sound fantastic

Home Free has quite a few songs wherein they showcase the artists with whom they are collaborating. They celebrate music itself.

Soooooo pretty! Ty HF again!! Ur the very best!!
I have read that Rickie Lee Jones,an American singer songwriter, who wrote this song is thrilled that Australia has embraced it with such love. She wrote it for her daughter. Thanks!!
Great reaction.
Wow, they did justice to Daryl Braithwaite. Yes, as a Aussie I had to sing along with the chorus. Excellent reaction as always.

Travis did a show at hubby’s cousin’s back yard on the Sunny Coast last year, he was awesome!

Firstly, I loved the scenery shots! Secondly, pretty cool for HF to sing an Aussie staple with two talented Aussie singers.
Waited all day long to be alone so I could watch you having that much fun.
This song was absolutely beautiful once again Home Free does it again.. they all sounded amazing together.. Adam Rupp was outstanding on this song which he is on every song butt oh my gosh he was absolutely amazing.... Love my boys 🏡🆓🏡🍟

Watching you and Lyle from Patrol Gaming react to this video was heartwarming.
Absolutely agree! Both amazing reactions!
New song to my ears and it was so good! I will have to look up Travis and Amy, beautiful voices! I couldn’t wait for your reaction to this and it didn’t disappoint! Thank you so much! ❤️
You should be one proud Aussie today! Beautiful song. Australia has great talent! Travis and Amy are separate Aussie artists. Both are incredible.
Love this song. These boys never cease to surprise with their collaborations. Travis and Amy have great voices and harmonize so well with our boys.❤️
This is so very awesome! Travis and Amy are incredible. Absolutely love your reaction!
I don’t know the song but I love it. It’s got me dancing and singing right along. Love Travis and Amy and of course Austin and the HF boys! Adam was great with the beat. Yeah I really like Travis’ voice. Good one DJ!😍
SIR. This was awesome. Thanks for your reaction
So glad you liked this one 😃
That little “guitar” riff could be Chance, but could also be Austin or Darren Rust
Thanxs…loved all the scenery & animals & emus 🙃🫶🏼‼️ Oh, the singing was great too 🙃🎵🎶🫶🏼🇺🇸
All I know is the song and video are beautiful.
travis collins is an australian country singer and amy sheppard is an australian singer who is part of the band called sheppard which is her and her siblings
Great reaction, thank you!
I hope you will react to more of Travis and Amy, just love their voices ❤
ps-how about interviewing Travis and Amy??
They did an amazing job on this song. Thanks homefree for reminding me of how much I love this aussie song 😍

Loved this song... hadn't heard it before. These guys do a great job showcasing talent. Great reaction.
I absolutely love this song
The Powderfinger album in the background indicates this was filmed at Hunting Ground Studios in Moorooka, Queensland.
Good song & video (new to me), good review. Well done, DJ_410.
TRAVIS MY BOY
DJ listen to travis rainy day YOU WILL CRY
Love it

I really enjoy Home Free. This was great!
Can you please react to some Pentatonix? They are my favorite group! Any song you pick would be amazing!
Hi everyone 😀

And Kenny Loggins had it on a lullaby CD - but it is not nearly as popular here as it is in Australia - they have basically made it their own.
I have also heard that, but couldn’t remember the original artist’s name.
Geoff talking about how talented he thinks Tim Foust is. th-cam.com/video/ewffnTfUDOI/w-d-xo.html
TRAVIS AND AMY ARE 2 SEPERATE ARTISTS THEY BROUGHT IN
