I worked at DNR years ago and a woman caught a Raccoon using. Rum in the Raccoon trap. Apparently he and his buddy's were caught swimming in her hot tub and drinking liquor from her outdoor bar. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard what the Raccoon 🦝 in trap had done. LOL 😂 She said she brought our Raccoon back to our State Park to release him and bring the trap back to her house. Returned her cage and saw the wealthy home she lives in with 5 car garage filled with exotic cars in each garage. Wow, I should have brought the Raccoon 🦝 back to his Party House !!!
Lol just be careful with trap… like what kind of control do you have over other animals… and just cause you live in the country doesn’t mean you should let your dog run off of your property
Where you said it flat in here at about 2:55 if that's private property and it's a natural elevation you might find some arrow heads in there burried a few inches deep. They should be about where the organic material meets the clay.
nice work, the warden was cool about the situation but you would have had to deal with the dog by yourself if the trap was anchored. not worth the back and forth about a leash law so you handled it well.
Not really anything about a leash law, but more about a possible liability thing. If the trap is anchored, then there is no question that the dog wasn't on the right property and that it was a complete accidental no-liability involved trap situation. The trap not being anchored means that OP, Rip n Stick, can't prove that he wasn't trapping on the wrong land. You only need a preponderance of evidence for civil level infractions, which means just more likely than not, or 51% proof. Neighbor's dog is injured. The dog has your trap on its leg. It's now on you to have to prove the dog wasn't where it was allowed to be rather than your traps being in a dangerous location.
you make a fantastic point, one I'd not dispute. young and old trappers should take your words of wisdom to heart. no trapper wants to catch a dog or cat on accident and then to be sued. for me to point out Leash laws was silly..... I always anchor my traps and mostly use dog proofs for coons. but if a Beaver trapper is legally in the right and an unleashed dog gets a good wiff of Back Breaker Lure it will go check that smell out. people who let their dog free range in the woods I have no problem with. I'd feel terrible finding someones pet at the bottom of my beaver side!!!! I bet their next dog will be on a leash! regards!
Done wire your trap direct to the anchor. Wire to the anchor, then wire the trap to that wire. That way the wire has a swivel, instead of bending with the fight of the animal.
Very fun video. I haven't had too much success trapping raccoons, but I usually just use lure, marshmallows, and fish oil. Also what part of PA do you live in, because I haven't seen any snow on the ground this year xD

More police officers should strive to be game wardens.
Me and my dad use marshmallows and we poor a little vanilla extract in the trap with them. It works really well
You see a lot of videos about nasty game wardens. But I have had them check my lines and all were like yours, helpful and polite. Guess they only get nasty when you break the law.
lol you never turn down a free fresh beep deer
Cool to find Denny Hamlin’s outdoor channel
Smoked Sardines with a bit of SALT 😋🤤
I worked at DNR years ago and a woman caught a Raccoon using. Rum in the Raccoon trap. Apparently he and his buddy's were caught swimming in her hot tub and drinking liquor from her outdoor bar. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard what the Raccoon 🦝 in trap had done. LOL 😂
She said she brought our Raccoon back to our State Park to release him and bring the trap back to her house.
What lol
@@coreyhallman3134you must not have watched the video 😊
Sardines are delicious ! ! Love them.
Sardines on toast them in tomato sauce little bit of vinegar and salt and pepper.😋
42k subscribers and dude can only come up with one person to call.... use the power of the Internet my dude.
Sardines are awesome and great for your heart. The brand you have are from the Baltic Sea North of Poland.
cool warden , something nice to see.
Where you said it flat in here at about 2:55 if that's private property and it's a natural elevation you might find some arrow heads in there burried a few inches deep. They should be about where the organic material meets the clay.
Love them especially the Louisiana hot sauce one
Sardines on toast is my favourite Sunday breakfast .
So if it was earth anchored you might have found the dog when you checked the traps?
nice work, the warden was cool about the situation but you would have had to deal with the dog by yourself if the trap was anchored. not worth the back and forth about a leash law so you handled it well.
I bet their next dog will be on a leash! regards!
I am glad those deer don't go to waste.
where in pa are you again i forget im in berks county 5c. 20 minutes south of reading
I usually mix corn horse oats and cat food and it works pretty well 👍
what's the point to hunting and killing racoons?
Done wire your trap direct to the anchor. Wire to the anchor, then wire the trap to that wire. That way the wire has a swivel, instead of bending with the fight of the animal.
What kind of Hunter would not take a free and totally legal deer of those circumstances?
Marshmallows -- they love them.
Very fun video. I haven't had too much success trapping raccoons, but I usually just use lure, marshmallows, and fish oil. Also what part of PA do you live in, because I haven't seen any snow on the ground this year xD
Canned cat food works for me
Ya I know for once everyone else is getting snow but us haha, I like the snow
dude was super chill
does your state have a leash law????
What state is this? I might have to come out there!
i use the cheap salmon that has the skin and bones still in it. works very well.
Two words,Leash Law
Marshmallows are the best !!! They go crazy for them
Hay that's part of trapping.
Powdered donuts are pretty good, I've caught more possums with cat food.
How could you pass up on that deer?!
What do you do with the raccoon meat?
Love sardines every survival bug out bag should have a dozen or so.
Can't believe you turned down the deer.
Every real sportsman eats sardines & saltines with strong black coffee.
crunchberries are crack for raccoons. i have great luck using them
What do you do with the carcasses? Is there anything usable or edible? Do you trap these just for sport or because they're a nuisance?
In the south It was very popular for the black crowd for eating back in the day.
