Great video. Thanks for making this. I use the 28-200 on A7iii but when I upgrade in future to a higher megapixel body I think I’ll need one of the Sonys to get full use of the sensor.
When you get your hands on the 24-50 2.8 I’d love to see a comparison with the 20-70. Would also be great if you could use photos rather than 4k video frames next time for the optical tests, to push the limits further.

I had 20-70mm on my ZVE1, but later traded it for PZ 16-35mm f4. I guess this lens fits more for my style.😊

Hm… I’d say 20-70 because if better work of stabilisation with native lenses and because of the wider angle - it’s important during hikes. Also it has better weather sealing

I don’t use multiple filters)) with 1 filter (even a thick one) everything is fine

thanks for including the full size files on google drive. youtube compression ruins images and nobody uploads samples especially hard to find log video samples of cameras. you have the best reviews the 20-70mm is the perfect focal length i just wish it was f2.8 and not f4 because i have a7c. but for zve1 i gues its fine for low light because of the 12800iso

You might have a bad copy of the 24-70 GMii. Mine is flawless at 24 and 70 with no distortion.

Bro) Sony can’t make one 24-70 f2.8 gm ii with distortion and other without) it’s not how it works) make you own tests and you’ll see)

Sony 24-70 GM II actually has 4 XD linear motors and you can clearly see an advantage over a lens with 2 XD linear motors like Sony 20-70 f4.
