DLC is “the size of Limgrave” my ass, Miyazaki is the greatest troll of all time lmao
Exactly dude this place is way bigger then limgrave
ikr man dropped elden ring 2
It’s such a W. If u noticed it fits perfectly over the water in the center of the map
it is size of Limgrave most of the areas are empty like for example , finger of ria . red and blue rose area and Jagged peak are empty and linear
@@Christianramz3434 its L copy pasted bosses , and empty maps lol
Those woods were terrifying
Worse than lake of rot imo
"The spectral steed is ftightened and cannot be summoned." Oml😭
@@lijampotil3570 bro lake of rot is nothing. you just get flame cleanse me
@@herkadoo5519 thats what i mean
The sneaking around took longer than the boss.
When going through the fog you can hug the left wall and it’s a little passage where the madness monster won’t follow you
Thank you for this, it help a lot.
Dude thank you so much
I love you
Legend! That thing was driving me nuts.
This helped so much
I have had more trouble locating these bosses than beating any of them. I beat Messmir early and now doing all the quests before burning the thorns
it is easy most of time all u have to do is check all the corner of the areas , for me i did notice the ladder but i wanted to beat messemer so ignored it i also thought that ladder lead me to the same area so why id go ?> and i forgot about it . i madea huge mstake:(
@aspirewot8408 the shadow keep can be cufusing for alot of people
@@connerminnich7393 I think the one of the catacombs was more confusing than shadow. Keep . There was a catacomb dungeon with huge machine with spikes remember ? And you could also get into that spiked machine that was more confusing the area looked same
@@aspirewot8408”check the corners of all the areas” like that wouldn’t be ungodly tedious and take literal hours
@@MexiFryStains well this is souls game that's how u play it . If you practice this method you'll definitely find every single thing + every boss location on your own . And so what If it takes time ? Don't rush it play it slowly thats how I play
For the frenzied enemy you can parry it ( parry once it raises its wand not when it’s coming down ) and it becomes vulnerable to damage
@@c2saucy626 you're the goat for this
@@c2saucy626 this is the best comment ever bro, this definitely saved me a lot of time
@@c2saucy626 You’re also not even supposed to agro it. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be a stealth section. You can crouch-walk in the bushes and it won’t notice you
@@ScriptedRealityYT just too slow
@@malcolmnyholm2551 Yeah I agree. I ultimately just ending up sprinting through and dodging 😆
As if the Winter Lanterns in Bloodborne weren't hard and terrifying enough, they re-designed them to be even MORE terrifying and difficult. Definitely the most annoying mob enemy in this DLC. Thank you for this guide, man.
@@Infurno924 there not difficult just annoying and again overused
@MaxenceBourcier-om8fq They are definitely a gimmick. But I can not understate the panic I felt when they didn't take damage like normal enemies do lmao.
@@MaxenceBourcier-om8fq Dumb comment
I’m also inclined to believe that these are directly linked to those lanterns because there is a literal crafting item you can collect called a “winter lantern fly”.
@@Overqualification Yeah, it was really cool to find those and confirm my suspicions about them. I'm happy to see them back, honestly. Even if they are a pain in the ass.
Finally
A boss centred around the Frenzied Flame, I’ve been wanting this for a while!
You sure love the madness too
One of my favorite bosses in this entire game EASILY! I love the Frenzied Flame as a concept so the fact that it finally got its own boss was just peak Elden Ring to me. I normally rage against bosses but I couldn’t against this guy. I was so hyped in this fight. Awesome boss, cool moves, cool lore, cool area…cool everything.
Definitely one of my favorites now.
me too and i had no spoil so i discovered the thing on my own, was really epic
That frenzied enemy chases me until I’m dead fml
Literally nothing I can do I just die everytime
Me to
its meant to be a stealth area, hide in the long grass. if he spots you, the only way to kill him is to parry one of his grabs and then riposte. will net you a talisman though.
@@sos8105 You can sneak past him if you go behind that giant tree, but you need the black knife armor set
Use the Crepus vial talisman
So Im a huge Frenzy Flame nerd, and hearing that there was a boss I got super hyped. I was gonna watch gameplay but I got maybe 10 seconds in before I was like “no, I NEED to experience this for myself.”
Thanks for the guide dude, stopped watching about the point you reached the manor, super excited for the experience
@@notgabriel8624 how'd it go?
@@deathknight1239 idk haven’t been able to do it yet. Moving homes rn and resisting watching gameplay has been hard
All I’ve played of the dlc so far was enough to speedrun getting the dry leaf arts and great jar helmet so I can do my boy Alexander proud
@notgabriel8624 All I will say is he's my favorite boss in the game by far but there is a very annoying thing you have to kill every time you fight him and then you also have to skip his intro cutscene too my only complaint is retryung the boss after every death is a bit tedious but not too bad, also make sure you have plenty of fire defense consumables because that frenzy fire while really cool does alot of damage, Goodluck to you for when you finally fight him. Let me know how it goes so I can congratulate ya
@notgabriel8624 kinda crazy someone is in the exact same position as me,im also moving rn and shit is hectic and i havent been able to play. Wish you good luck with the move❤
Yes freaking thank you , people kept hiding how to get here . Big thanks iv been trying to get here for my madness guy !
This was the best boss in the dlc imo. The final boss was easily the hardest but this was the coolest and that cutscene was 🔥!!!
He’s cool but I’d have to go with Messmer. Moveset, animations, cut scenes were all gas.
@@migtini i swear, hes so much better thyen the final boss
@@migtini Messmer should be final boss that boss was insane, insane moveset so funny to fight cool cutscenes, insane voice actor everything about him was just goated
I really loved saint of the bud. Even though I haven't completed the game, she is my favourite boss in the dlc at the moment
final boss was copy pasted LOL
I don’t know what I’d do without this tutorial, thanks bro.
Thanks for this, getting through this cursed place was truly madness.
for some reason the fog was white for me instead of orange and I didn’t even see the madness monster thing at all, I think it might have something to do with the fact that I was using crepus’s vial but I’m not sure
it was only orange because he had a lantern equipped
@@yesido3428 nah that’s not why I didn’t have a lantern and it was dark but now I go back and it’s somehow white and impossible to see the fucker! The lighting is kinda messed up in some parts of the forest
@@mashu5993 happened to me too?
@@musky9718 same here. I ended up being forced to do the parry delete function that people say to use to fight them.
@@mashu5993 verify game files kek are you new or something?
Thanks for the guide dude, I got lost in the abyss and I was running like crazy all over the place looking for any interesting place there 😅 cheers
TYSM man it was really helpful, also I’ve learned you can parry the one shot madness enemies at hit them with a critical strike which actually does damage
great guide, btw thanks! with the trinket i mentioned below + your guide, i got right through :)
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much for the video! I took a different path than you but got back on the right track and got a map piece that took me forever to find! I appreciate the help! May the light of grace guide you on your next victory fellow, Tarnished!
If you have it, you should definitely wear Black Knife Armor while making this run. It makes it a lot easier with that madness Bloodborne looking thing chasing you.
Ur the goat for this
Any alternatives? Somehow I am ng+3 and never grabbed this set now I am at this point in Erdtree ugh
@@OverTheHillGamer i was stuck on this part for an hour until I used the armor. It makes it so ur almost invisible. If u keep getting stuck I say learn to parry their attack. Or if u have the snowy area unlocked try to just sneak in and get the armor. I don’t think u need to fight the black knife knights to get it.
@@OverTheHillGamer It's in Ordina if you've been up there yet on your current playthrough, the entire thing is up there. Otherwise, there's also a talisman named Crepus' Vial, but that's hard to get because I think you have to do 2-3 of those assassination missions from Valcano Manor.
Thank you bro. You saved my life
Thanks for the guide 💯 now to figure out where to go next lol
Holy shit I NEEDED this video
Thank you soo much! ^_^
Man thank you so much.. for helping me opening the rest of the dlc map
Wow bro that helped a lot thank you
thank you for keeping it short and sweet
Great video ma, thank you so much. I recommend sneaking past them. Crazy when the area enemies are harder than the boss!
thanks for this
Thank god you made this cus I’m watching Kai cenat and I’m tryna catch up
thought i was the only one
dude me too!
Same, this dude Kai moving fast as shit 💀
bro 💀💀
Following him is a bad idea he doesn’t do any side shit or quests
I'm ASTONISHED at the level or creativity in crafting this interwoven world.
I actually enjoyed this boss honestly the dlc just like past souls games really upped the ante in quality with 3-4 dlc bosses already being some of my favorite ER bosses! I still have 3 left once I beat Messmer and honestly his fight is so fun especially 1 on 1 without using summons I’m having a blast learning his move sets!
Liked and subbed. Thanks!
@ConCon you can parry the madness guy in the Abyssal Woods that’s the only way ik that you can kill him is after you parry him the buckler shield makes it dangerously easy
amazing, thanks!
Thanks appreciate this
Sweet, thanks!
You can parry them , use golden vow and wait for the wand to reach the top of their head and crit strike em then you can attack em after that
When you go into the fog with the annoying enemies that you can’t fight, use the Crepus’s Vial Talisman which eliminates all sound by the wearer. That’s the easiest way to get past them. I’m sure there is a tutorial somewhere on how to get the talisman. Pretty handy. Thanks for the walkthrough, it was really helpful. Cheers.
Parry shield (I used a buckler) and riposte the frenzy guy. 1 or 2 times and it's done
Awesome guide! Thank you!
Just getting to these woods took me forever.. I managed to beat one of those things, bc I’m not good at parrying,
I use assassin gamble ash to sneak past these bugs..
you can avoid that part at 4:30 when he goes into the fog dodging that weird thing. at the sight of grace just before it take a right and head for the top left corner of the woods to find another grace then go south
Also I’m pretty sure during the night the mist fades and you can actually sneak past the monster
4:33 when you enter the mist, use assassins gambit and run passed the enemy. It won’t notice you and you can just run by it.
@@SDSypher doesnt work
it worked
Using black knife tiche armor set plus a dagger with assassin’s gambit ash of war, worked perfectly for me to dodge (sneak) by the enemy’s in abyssal wood. They are invincible and annoying if caught. Hope this helps!!
thanks for your guide
That dungeon was a lovely cake walk, felt like running through the woods from a hatchet wielding maniac, and his friends with the fricken cannon :D just what i like to do on a Tuesday afternoon
You can parry the eye ball creatures, ik some have already said that, and then you can kill it and once it's dead it won't respond till you start a new game
Use a buckler shield to perry the untouchable following you in the fog to kill it. You can only damage it when stunned, you’ll also get a solid Talisman for it
Beautiful guide 10/10 would recommend
can you post a vidoe to how to beat the bosses in order, thx
Done th-cam.com/video/qXKvuRw-4R0/w-d-xo.html
Previous games take about a 2 minute route Elden Ring DLC is 7-25 minute route videos
Yup. This dlc is just tedious to play
Are there any quests related to this boss?
How do you open the door
To help make it a bit easier use crepus's vial to sneak past those things
What’s that armor set?
if anyone is struggling in the swamp part? if you toss on "crebus's vial" ; a trinket that removes all sound while moving, you literally have nothing attack you the entire time! good luck friends!
If anyone is struggling you can also use the “unseen form” spell and “assassins gambit” ash of war to become invisible to the madness monsters
How do you get to the back of the house?
thank you 🌹
Can I do this fight before Messmer?
yeah
For the enemy you can't fight there is a thing close right behind him you can walk on and it goes over him kinda
is there anything behind this boss or more in the area
I had no idea there was an invisible wall there and almost completely missed this are, thank you!
No problem!
Found the Darklight Catacombs by different means. When first told to go down the stone platforms, I continued on instead and eventually found it by accident.
if u wanna atk that big head frenzy in the woods, u gotta parry him, that will make him vulnerable
What armor set it that?
BTW if you wear crepus vial talisman or black knife armor you can sneak around the left of the frenzy enemy and completely avoid him
Thank you so much I was stumped after killing Mesmer
The lore implications this boss has alone
you are a mith !! Without you I couldn' t find this boss.. either in 100 years.. 😰
6:16 what is this item? it doesnt show up for me pre or post boss fight
Dropped from enemy I beat earlier in that spot
In the cave if you stick too the left and crouch the guy won’t notice you so you don’t have too do a death run away from him
Amazing advice did what u said and ignored mist guy yeah died instantly
Wearing the black knife set seemed to help get through the swamp
If you equip crepes’s vale or black Knight armour you can just sneak past everything
what is this armor?
Great video. Most people dont keep opening their map to help people. You valid
Glad it was helpful!
Literally the perfect guide.
My issue with the level and world design found in the DLC is summed up perfectly by the access path to the frenzy forest shown here.
If you go to the cerulean coast, or to the grand dragon communion cathedral where you find the dragon lady, or over to the finger ruins in the south and look down or over at the area DIRECTLY next to you (the frenzy forest) you’d start to wonder how you access the area.
Every single logical route that you spend hours searching and exploring for around those areas are all ultimately COMPLETELY redundant and useless because the entrance point to access that area all actually begins with one tiny random hidden ladder in the shadow keep, MILES to the north of the area you’re looking to access.
And not only is the ladder totally missable even if you’ve walked straight past it (which happened to me) but also looks so small and irrelevant that it’s easy to see it and say “I’ll come back to that later” and you’ll just forget because who would assume that an entire 25% and the DLC map is only accessible via one tiny hidden inconspicuous ladder at the back of shadow keep in an irrelevant part of that legacy dungeon.
I understand intricacies and complexities of level design but it all actually just ends up feeling like one long boring practical joke because it’s like “oh what’s that? You want to access a huge area in the south east of the DLC map? Well head way to the north and find the tiny hidden ladder all the way in the shadow keep and follow that route through for miles until you get to the area you wanted to access 2 hours ago and could see from 30 miles to the south.
Thank you!
Which Weapon you have there?
Next guide can you say what things are gonna be in the area cause every time I went into the fog I kept getting touched by rats
There’s actually a diary page you find immediately to the left after entering through the painting that tells you you can parry the frenzied guys which is the only way to deal damage to them. The diary says “ I touched him but only once. When he thrust his staff in my face, I brushed it aside. It was then that I touched him. The aging untouchable.”
damn this expansion is huge.. 50+ hours in and havent seen this yet
Thank you for this vid !!!!
My pleasure!!
That creature that inflicts madness...after it stops chasing me, I come upon 2 of them (plus a rat) and I just cant get away from them.
Can’t believe I missed this shit….maybe it’s the only boss I missed in the dlc good thing I’m already in the dlc for the new game plus 3 lmao
use the bloodfiends arm w/ blood affinity on this guy he staggers in 3 charged heavies and makes the fight light work
They seem to have added a heavy fog in this area that makes it very difficult to see where you're going
The woods and mansion are giving me Bloodborne vibes
I use the black knife armor set because it eliminates sound and didn’t alert the guys you can’t kill… ran right threw them! 🤷🏾♂️
Use Crespus's Vial Talisman when running through the woods. It saved me so much time.
If you use assassin’s approach, you can make it through the fog without being attacked at all
I want to be able to get that Frenzy head from the second phase.
If you find the Crepus’s Vial talisman, it eliminates footsteps and you can sneak around those untouchable madness guys.
That is a bananas travel. Wonder how much stuff did you pass. Anything important?
i found the by accident and i was shocked on how deep i went lmao
you can parry those "untouchable" enemies. use carian retaliation for the easiest way. or you can just attack them with something with big stance damage like Lion's Claw, they arent taking any damage but it will broke their stance. once their stance was broken, their invincibility is gone, and you can attack them normally.
God damn I hate those eyeball guys. Killed the one that drops the talisman but I’m not trying all the others. They always catch me. Still trying to make it to the manor lol
