Thanks Dan 🙏 Yeah they smashed this song… So different from the original, in the way they’ve elaborated on it, -and in the process they created a funk/jazz masterclass 😱⭐️⭐️😱 That last solo by Henrik….. I also love all the open space in his, and all of their, playing - plenty of it, and then dropping the funk right into those open spaces!! The more I listen to it, the more I’m digging it :) it totally grew on me 🫶 Jonah’s vocals and his vocal layering, as well as keys playing and crazy reharms 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Aron’s drum ‘solos’ in those bridge sections 😱 he’s just going NUTS, and it reminds me of Luis Cole. Check out the credits too, they’re a ton of fun ;) Bring back the Dirty Loops Mondays! ☺️🤟🤟👍☺️
Wow, that's so cool.‼️The cover turned out to be awesome.💯🔥 I love Stevie Wonder, but this is a very interesting version of his famous song.🎉 Dirty Loops👋👋👋Thanks for the great reaction Dan👍👍🙏🙏
Can’t argue about taste or opinions such as these… The Marco Mendoza version is straight up fire 🔥 Many artists and bands tho have covered this song, and everyone brings something unique to it. Dirty Loops bring their own brand of uniqueness (and to my ears, greatness) to it-.
What? Their version is completely different in both style and composition. How is this a rip off in any way? Just because it's also a trio doesn't mean they have a lot in common musically. I'm so confused by this comment ...
@lottawiklund8606 I agree, my comment is to heavy for what I want to convey here. When I listened to this new version, I immediately had to fetch the album "Live in LA" from Mendoza, Heredia, Neto because I was experiencing a very similar satisfaction and remembered how amazed I was at the level of virtuosity of the performance. On "Casa Mendoza" the version is more rock oriented and does not give me the same experience. I was expecting Marco Mendoza to be mentioned in the credits for some reason. "Keeping that funk alive!"
Smiling from ear to ear - just gotta love Dirty Loops! Thanks for the reaction...

This was done in 1998 by Marco Mendoza, Joey Heredia and Renatto Neto. Since it is also a trio, this new version feels like a rip off...
