the KIT comes with full fitting instructions - a printed 10 pages long manual plus a very detailed video (much more detailed than this one) that shows every single detail, including disassembly, needle removal, and so on.

Hey man, I need to get one fix and would rather pay you to do it. It is untested, I do not have the equipment like you do. I also have Jag's Hyundai, Toyota and GM for you to inspect or repair. Can you do it? You still around?

So.... it looks like you do not need to heat up the ribbon cable to get the glue to set before attaching the backlight part?

How long did it take you to get it separated from the dash? Also, would you by chance have that video recorded?

Can you show any or All steps taken to get this apart? This part is very difficult and may not be possible by most DIY folks
    Like
    1 Remove T9 screws
2 Twist align plastic cross tabs on back to free cover
3 Pry four points to remove cover
4 Needle Removal with side cutters
5 DE solder the 6 back light solder point connectors 3 on each end of the back light housing and remove display back light housing.
6 pull and clean gold contact points that ribbon attaches to and clean contact points on LCD.
7 run to the liquor store and purchase the best Vodka and celebrate achievement of the separation process.

This video gives you an idea how the repair works. The KIT you receive for the repair comes with a very detailed, much longer video that cover the repair from the very beginning, till the very end.

How can you get the temperature gauge on the far right of cluster to reset? I put another cluster in and all gauges work except for that one going straight to HOT.

Usually I see this when the thermostat has failed. You can get it to return to normal by clearing the codes. And then when it happens again fix the issue by replacing the failed part.
