Chinese cars face import duties to protect the UK market. If they were allowed in without duty they would be very much cheaper. A Tesla Model 3 starts at around £27k in China.
The import duties are because the Chinese car companies are subsidised by the Chinese Government which the EU felt gave them an unfair advantage, so applied the tariffs.
@@lloydh.3771 The EU hasn't publicly decided if Chinese cars are getting excess subsidy....based on their recent report, it looks like they haven't found anything other than Chinese wages being cheaper, their factories being more efficient and their market being more price competitive/cut throat As for tariffs, both the UK and the EU currently just have the standard 10% tariff on Chinese imports. The EU is currently in the process of deciding what tariff to implement although based on that report, it sounds like they're finding even a 50% tariff won't make European cars price competitive, because the Chinese brands have so much margin to play with. It also will annoy a lot of the major European brands who import a lot of cars from China (Renault, BMW, Mini, Mercedes)
I think he's only ever driven this MG3 and a Renault Clio so it's his only frame of reference? Or he uses the Renault Clio as his benchmark for everything, "Did you know the Titanic was 73 Renault Clio's long?"
Toyota have been building hybrids for years and they have a reputation for reliability, longevity... This also ensures good residuals..They have ironed out any issues years ago... So i will let someone else be MG's guinea pig...
I used to buy Toyotas back in the '90s when they were sold on exactly the same basis as this MG. They were relatively cheap, practical & decently kitted out. I stopped buying them when they started getting expensive & stopped offering much in the way of value-for-money.
MG are aware of this issue. The Italian press moaned about it last week. One said it appears the internal seat frame is actually a 60/40 split that has been made into a single bench. You will see @5:03 the single seat support. This would need modifying so it has two supports (one for each seat). It's not yet clear if that can be a dealer retrofit or it will be a factory fit only. So if looking to buy them I would suggest hanging fire to see what happens if a split seat is important to you.
An MG dealership on youtube claimed these are pre-production cars and that when the final build model goes on sale it would most likely have 60/40 split.
I got a MG3 had nothing but problems with it. Swapping it soon for a Dacia Sandero. I’ve also been told by a ex MG salesman they’re always having issues so MG can’t be trusted especially with something new. Like the guy below says, someone else can do the “trial” for them. Sick of problems and waiting 6-7 weeks to get it booked in. I had squeaky steering, MG blamed my boot!!Had Dacia before, not brilliant but much more reliable.
It's strange with certain "car reviews" you can tell instantly by the tone of their voice, that they dislike a car and always will always compare it to a more expensive car/brand.
As far as I can tell the MG3 uses a 3-Speed torque converter, likely using 3 large ratios with the EV motor to assist. The Clio on the other hand has an automated clutch-less dog-box with a second electric motor for synchronisation. It works similar to a high-low range splitter and gives the car a choice of 15 different gear ratios + reverse.
@@MrSensible2 Thanks for the info. Should be more reliable than the Renault Dog-Box, that had a number replaced under warranty back in 2020 with the launch of the Clio Hybrid. I'm not sure how the Stellantis DSC6 DCT is going to hold up, DCTs aren't very complicated but they're not easy to get right as Ford (Dry Clutch Powershift) and Fiat (1st Gen Tipo Dry Clutch) demonstrated.
The seats are 60:40 split. They will just change the seat cover and all will be fine. No factory modifications would be required. Often times the manufacturers rush their pre-production models and this is the outcome. It will come with one. Since the Chinese one has it.
It is a non issue for a lot of people..some people just look for something to moan about..i am more disappointed no spare wheel option ( that is my moan) as 12v battery in boot but it did not stop me ordering a Monument Silver MG3 Hybrid. Hoping to collect mine next week.
What are the buttons on the steering wheel like? Are they decent proper buttons or are they those crappy ones that most manufacturers seem to be fobbing people off with these days?
I have a 10 year old Polo BlueGT it’s just as quick as this and returns 45-55 mpg depending on city or motorway. I imagine it drives much better than this. How are these complicated hybrids progress?
The Polo Blue GT was one of very few small cars that mixed efficiency with good performance. Obviously now there is no replacement. But your car as a 5dr DSG car would have cost over £19k back then and just with inflation would cost £25.5k today so for MG to offer something like this in 2024 for only £18.5k is quite good. Back in 2014 pricing that's less than £14k.
I'd take the Yaris over Clio or MG3 anyday, Can't beat Toyota's, they're reliable, solid, good looking and are fun to drive, even for people like myself who aren't car enthusiasts, I'm personally a motorbike guy myself. MG isn't the company it used to be back in its glory days, when they made vehicles like the MGB etc... many of which survive in preservation to this day. Sadly no longer truly British, The only thing that remains of MG when it was British are the Badge and name.
Just had a test drive in one of these. Had it for an hour, drove just short of 25 miles with a mix of motorway, town and b road. Floored it a few times to see what acceleration was like. It returned 56.5mpg, so quite a bit higher than this review states. Not sure how they drove it to only get between 40-50. Without flooring it, I would have been closer to 60.
Yeah, I ended up ordering one. Drove nicely and didn't feel anywhere near as cheap as I thought it would. Everything you touch feels decent. Acceleration is more than quick enough too. There's definitely a feeling of two "boosts" of power though. The electric kick ends and then there's a slight gap before the engine and battery work together again. But I didn't find it unpleasant or irritating.
I'm looking forward to the WhatCar comparison of the MG3 & the new Swift & I hope they structure the test in a similar way to their previous ones. What I'd expect to see is that driving in congested London, the MG3 will have way superior fuel economy on account of its much bigger battery & electric motors. However on long motorway runs, the reverse will be true on account of the Swift's far lower weight (950 kg vs 1300 kg). If I'm honest, I'd probably buy the MG3 on account if its lower base price & no add-on cost auto box. However the bulk of my driving is tootling up & down the M3 which favours the Swift. It's a dilemma!
@@MrSensible2, again: there's no comparison between the Chinese commies' clunkers and the Japanese reliable cars. You better answer this instead of labeling me a bot. But, if you insist with this "ad hominem" attack, then you must be a bot as you are brainwashed by the leftards. From my POV you better by the unreliable MG (ex-British, now Chinese). You fully deserve that lemon. The hybrid Swift (because that would be the correct comparison) is too good for a commies' bot.
Nobody covers this in their reviews (and I have watched them all, including Italian ones), but...how do the speakers perform in this car? Audio system is important for me! Thanks!!!
@@koreya4015 That is quite standard setup for the price point, my worry is that the audio system quality is one of the things they saved up money for which would be a let down for me personally
You do always have the option of buying a basic spec car. Let's say you save 5000 like that. You could buy a pretty nice 4 ch amp and speakers for 1000. Something that will knocks spots off an OE setup. The problem is that any problems with the car after that and I can promise you that'll be a convenient warranty "out" for the dealers. One possible way around that is to get the dealership to fit it or just get a reputable firm to do it and then you're in a good position to argue.
Thanks for an articulate review. The MG3 display is a straight borrowing from the more expensive MG 4 and 5 models, so a good deal if you are lucky with the Russian roulette process of left-hand touch screen operation. More switches, please! I wonder how boxey it sounds, especially at 60-70 on the motorway. Three speed gearing seems a major cost reducing measure. I have a second generation MG5 which has had major component failure and the driver's door rubber seal is disintegrating after 15 months. So, build quality with tge MG3 will be a concern.
I have the new Renault Clio Esprit Alpine hybrid, and it's very noisy, a little jerky, not that quick, and the economy is in the low 50s, compared to my year 22 Toyota Yaris hybrid, the only thing thats better is the equipment levels.
@@FéargalO6 months, 5k miles, build quality is very good, but the hybrid system seems like it doesn't know what to do, I can only compare it to the Yaris, which was very smooth and quiet and fuel economy was very good at 66+ mpg
Economy not as good as I was expecting between 40 and 50mpg!! I get 47mpg from my Duster tce Was keen to see the new MG3 but I'm disappointed after watching that review
I regularly get 70 mpg from my Suzuki Celerio automatic. It's by far & away the most economical car I've ever driven. But, like me, it's getting old & at some stage will need replacing. I'd happily buy another but I can't so I'm looking at what to get next. The choice is between the MG3, the new Swift & the BYD Seagull EV which should be coming to these shores in Q4 2025. I expect none will be as good as what I have now but there you go...
The car is literally a copy of a Hyundai i20/accent from all directions... Who would have thought one day Hyundai (notorious for copying back in the day) would be the victim!
Feck the "sophistication" or mature feeling it's just more needless posh, weight and profits. The MG2 would be astounding for 2014, and we can all agree that cars have grown too heavy, fat and expensive. The Renault Clio or Megane are a far and rough cry from what they once were
I think I'll wait for the manual. The present model MG3 Excite is expensive to tax, but at under £14k is attractive if, like me, you're not into all the needless extras that come with lots of cars. A seven year warranty does give reassurance and, given my annual mileage is about 4 thousand miles, when I sell it on it'll be low mileage and a bit of warranty left over.
Ordered one today far cheaper than a Yaris that had for years good vfm drives really well and quite comfy nearly 10k less than a yaris for similar spec
MG cars are cheap because their owner, the Chinese Government (which owns SAIC, which in turn owns MG), subsidises MG's design development and production costs
That's actually a good thing! They pick up the entirety of the horrendously high bill for technology & product development & I can pick up a modern, functional car at a ridiculously low price (even lower still if you are related to someone in the NHS!). You can posture as much as you like but me, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth...
That would make sense if MG was price competitive in China. In reality they are not really. Compared to other brands in China, MG struggles to compete on price and this includes even Western brands. For example, the VW whose id3 undercuts the MG4 in China even though the ID3 is £10,000 more expensive in Europe. The reason they are cheap is because - compared to Europe - Chinese labour is cheap, Chinese factories are often new/efficient and Chinese materials/parts can be bought cheaply.
I think it's a mistake to focus simply on 0-62mph acceleration times in reviews. The bigger need for safe driving is 40-70 mph acceleration (i.e. overtaking a slow vehicle). My sense of your review is that the MG is tuned to accelerate briskly off the line but runs out of puff at higher speeds.
If the roads were silky smooth then maybe 17" would be better, but as many are now no better than the surface of Mars then 16" with more tyre is a good choice in my opinion. It's a B segment car after all and I think 16" is quite common for the non sports models in most lineups.
Extraordinary, is where we are with MPG - no I don’t mean it’s become really impressive. That the reviewer says the manufacturer claims over 60mpg, but they’ve only seen 2/3 of that, to 3/4 in their driving, and we don’t even flinch. None of us think ‘how dishonest!’. We literally have been conditioned to take the ‘urban’ fuel economy, the worst figure presented by the tests, as the best we likely will achieve almost regardless of how we drive. That’s what I find extraordinary. If it takes a ‘fudge factor’ of knocking 30% off the figures found, then I wish the official testing would simply apply that. Save me working it out. Take care all.
The word cheap shouldn't be used at all, the word affordable is the right word, if it is really cheap, people don't need a car loan to buy this car at all. Plus, how responsive do you need a navigation system ? Not playing games on it. 😂
More powerful and with less noise from the ecvt of Yaris. Also even at 80 km speed, it can go only electric, the engine recharges the battery. Yaris can't do that. Make a test drive, i will soon.
I’ve driven this back to back vs the Yaris and the Yaris is a joke hybrid wise compare to this… this thing has a significantly larger battery for starters
He compared it to the Clio hybrid because it's it's closest competitor. The Sandero while size comparable isn't really in the same league. It's has half the power and it's 0-60 is 14.2s. It's not like the Sandero is much cheaper as the 90tce CVT is £17.295. So looks and interior I prefer the Sandero but the performance and economy the MG will be much better. Maybe it would be a different story if Dacia offered the hybrid system out the Jogger in the Sandero but they don't.
Have you driven both? I have, and the MG3 I wasn’t concerned that a door panel was going to fall off on a motorway. The Sandero and Dacia’s in general I am…
why are we comparing mg3 hybrid (23.500 in my country) with a renault clio hybrid ( 30.000 in my country), thats 7k differnce in price, not to mention you are paying 30k for a supermini just because its hybrid. the only real competitor for this can is yaris (full hybrid vs full hybrid ).
7:41 I mean it seems like MG have kind of got this a little bit backwards with the transmission because the automatic version of the older one was a force speed transmission. And now this new one has a three speed transmission. I mean, if there’s going to be another new one, I bet you they’re going to put a two speed transmission in or one speed transmission.
Decent car, especially with the current finance deals available - low deposit and low monthly repayment. It's hybrid and a automatic with all the necessary tech equipment. Add the 7 year warranty and total ownership cost/experience is very attractive. The cheaper petrol version will be the volume seller
Doug obviously prefers the Clio. He gave his reasons. If you are looking for a budget but decent car then Clio is difficult to beat. It was in that context Doug presented his review. That is complimentary of the MG.
40-50mpg. Really?. That's poor! My 1.4t auto astra does the same. From 7 years ago. And my 8yr old diesel insignia will do 45-55 around town and 75+ on a long run....
This will be affected by weight, useable power ( as mentioned in the review ) and handling ( also mentioned ). 0 - 60 in 8 is good though. Rumour was that at one point MG were looking to do either a mild or hot version of the previous 3 but they didn't in the end. Would be interesting if they looked into doing something with this
I bought one in May. It was great! ...until at 2,000 miles the drivetrain broke. It's been with the dealership for three weeks and counting, and they've failed to provide a courtesy car. I'm a bit pissed off.
"Hey guys today we're going to talk about the MG3...but the cleo, well let me tell you about the cleo the cleo is an amazing cleo with lots of cleo, which the mg3 doesnt have."

With a conventional ICE, you need lots of gears to evenly distribute torque across the car's duty envelope. With a hybrid, the battery & electric motor can be employed to 'fill the gaps' in the torque delivery curve so you need less gears. In my book, that's good engineering practice & not something to be sneered at!

Except that's not what the SMMT sales stats say. Private buyers have effectively turned their back on EVs & are increasingly opting for petrol hybrids. MG are simply adjusting their product line to reflect consumer demand.
Its not "cheap" though is it? Its over 18k the new MG3, the current 1.5 petrol MG3 can be bought brand new for 13k and with some haggling nearer 10k But its what I expect from Autocar
The current MG3 is a steaming pile of dicks and despite that cannot be bought for 10k new as dealers don’t have 4k in the cars. This new one is a 2 generational leap and is significantly better than the old one. Along with it being a HEV, it most certainly is cheap considering there isn’t a HEV priced less than this
This isn't the 80s or 90s were people ignorantly believe the Euro/Western propaganda against Asian products. I would buy a Chinese made car over a majority of EU or US vehicles

research needed her. BMW iX3 electric SUV is being made exclusively in China followed by Toyota and Nissan, which produced about 1.5 million and 1.1 million vehicles in China (2020).
Think you'll find that UK private buyers have effectively outright rejected the current crop of full EVs as too expensive & too impractical. Sales of petrol hybrids, on the other hand, are surging. Go figure!

Well this will depend on how long you own it. If you are only keeping it two years then you are probably better off leasing either of them. If you intend to keep it for the 7 year duration then I suspect you probably won't make the difference up as the Yaris trade in maybe £6k and the MG3 maybe £4k. Chinese cars face import duties to protect the UK market. If they were allowed in without duty they would be very much cheaper. A Tesla Model 3 starts at around £27k in China.
I thought our Model 3 cars came from the German factory?
The import duties are because the Chinese car companies are subsidised by the Chinese Government which the EU felt gave them an unfair advantage, so applied the tariffs.
China imposes tariffs and quotas on our car imports into China. We should do the same
Teslas sold in the UK are Chinese cars
@@lloydh.3771 The EU hasn't publicly decided if Chinese cars are getting excess subsidy....based on their recent report, it looks like they haven't found anything other than Chinese wages being cheaper, their factories being more efficient and their market being more price competitive/cut throat
As for tariffs, both the UK and the EU currently just have the standard 10% tariff on Chinese imports.
Well that was almost damning with faint praise! “Almost”, “ nearly”, “it’s ok”, “not too bad”, “if you want a cheap hybrid”.
It‘s dirt cheap
Toyota have been building hybrids for years and they have a reputation for reliability, longevity... This also ensures good residuals..They have ironed out any issues years ago... So i will let someone else be MG's guinea pig...
Toyota's reputation is also one squandering decades that squats on an IP for the eCVT and $hit talking EVs
I used to buy Toyotas back in the '90s when they were sold on exactly the same basis as this MG. They were relatively cheap, practical & decently kitted out. I stopped buying them when they started getting expensive & stopped offering much in the way of value-for-money.
SAIC MG's parent company have been building hybrid cars for around two decades in China
The hybrid system has already been on sale in the MG VS in Thailand for the last couple of years (although with a slightly different battery).
This car won't last long enough for a second owner 😒
Is this a review on the mg 3 or the Renault Clio ?
i had the 2022 MG3 and whilst it was certainly OK the ride was so very firm. it reminded me of the old mini before bmw bought them
I would absolutely not call 40/60 split seats a "Luxury" FFS.
Rather the split seats with rear wind up windows.
@@gavjlewis No it isn't to us, just ordered the MG and had a brilliant test drive.
@@jeremyrigden9200 Nice. Did you go with an SE or Trophy trim? What colour? Do you have a collection date?
One of the MG dealers on TH-cam confirmed to me it's a conventional 3 speed fluid coupling auto, not a DCT.
So you spend the whole video comparing it to a Clio but the in depth review is against the swift.
Exterior wise, it is a very good looking car imo.
I'm getting the silver in 2 weeks. In Australia MG now with 10 years warranty @@FéargalO
What are the buttons on the steering wheel like? Are they decent proper buttons or are they those crappy ones that most manufacturers seem to be fobbing people off with these days?

What Car?, This made me laugh so much! Thanks for sharing!
Couldn't agree more. Wanting a few more horses, I opted for the Clio, big disappointment compared to the Yaris, also a biker guy 👍
Thanks for the mpg info. Overall what did you think of it? Worth buying??
Yeah, I ended up ordering one. Drove nicely and didn't feel anywhere near as cheap as I thought it would. Everything you touch feels decent. Acceleration is more than quick enough too. There's definitely a feeling of two "boosts" of power though. The electric kick ends and then there's a slight gap before the engine and battery work together again. But I didn't find it unpleasant or irritating.
@@thomascollett1605 Many thanks. That's a ringing endorsement in my book!

Nobody covers this in their reviews (and I have watched them all, including Italian ones), but...how do the speakers perform in this car? Audio system is important for me!

@@strapanasi I would have hoped the Trophy spec had better speakers, however there isn't much info out there right now
You do always have the option of buying a basic spec car.
I didn't have any problem with my old MG ZS2. Now I have a 1 year old first gen MG4 and it is nice and working well.
I have the new Renault Clio Esprit Alpine hybrid, and it's very noisy, a little jerky, not that quick, and the economy is in the low 50s, compared to my year 22 Toyota Yaris hybrid, the only thing thats better is the equipment levels.
@greengoblin2347 Thanks for the feedback..interesting. How long have you had the Clio hybrid? Think WLTP for Clio Hybrid is 69mpg.
@@FéargalO6 months, 5k miles, build quality is very good, but the hybrid system seems like it doesn't know what to do, I can only compare it to the Yaris, which was very smooth and quiet and fuel economy was very good at 66+ mpg

Was keen to see the new MG3 but I'm disappointed after watching that review
They were flooring it. It does do 0-60 in 8 seconds, maybe that's why 🤷
@MrSensible2 buy the new swift it will be still driving when the byd has burst into flames and being scraped
I wouldn't take a reviewers word on mpg unless it's a long test and engine is run in a little.
They got between 40 and 50 so what are you on about?
The car is literally a copy of a Hyundai i20/accent from all directions... Who would have thought one day Hyundai (notorious for copying back in the day) would be the victim!
Idk what Hyundai i20s Hyundai sell where you live, but they most certainly do not look like the MG3 where I live…
@@123silentassassinI’d say this looks more like the previous generation Seat Leon, from the side profile anyway
Looks very fiesta like especially from the rear
why he’s always saying luxury when this is the one of the cheapest cars now? what are you expecting?

I think it's a mistake to focus simply on 0-62mph acceleration times in reviews. The bigger need for safe driving is 40-70 mph acceleration (i.e. overtaking a slow vehicle). My sense of your review is that the MG is tuned to accelerate briskly off the line but runs out of puff at higher speeds.
I wish MG would stop under-wheeling their cars. Even if they want small wheels, they should widen the stance a couple cm.

Take care all.
looking forward to the comparison against Swift and real world fuel economy testing
Actually really competitive in small hatch world,
The word cheap shouldn't be used at all, the word affordable is the right word, if it is really cheap, people don't need a car loan to buy this car at all. Plus, how responsive do you need a navigation system ? Not playing games on it. 😂
I'm considering this car versus the 2024 Yaris. Why should I opt for this car in steady of the Yaris?
More powerful and with less noise from the ecvt of Yaris.
Also even at 80 km speed, it can go only electric, the engine recharges the battery.
Yaris can't do that.
Make a test drive, i will soon.

Buying a Chinese commies' clunker over Toyota (#1 in low TCO= Total Cost of Ownership and #2 in reliability after Lexus) is pretty dumb.
Might have had more sense making it an EV not a Hybrid, the Yaris does it better in Hybrid.
I’ve driven this back to back vs the Yaris and the Yaris is a joke hybrid wise compare to this… this thing has a significantly larger battery for starters
Yaris is a dead duck now once the new MG3 takes a hold. New King on the block..MG the 3rd.
EVs are depreciating as fast as consumer electronics: from sales price to zero in less than 10 years...
But its Chinese !!! MG's parent company is SAIC Motor (Shanghai Automobile Industry Corporation).
no saic,mg might already forever disappear😂
Well by this metric no British brand is British anymore.
Its the sandero this should be compared with not the clio..and the sandero is better in every way other than warranty duration..

If it came in Greece on time I would consider getting it over the Fabia mk4 Style

40-50 mpg uk isn't anything to write home about, I can to this in our Dacia 1.2 turbo that we have as a work car.

Clio more polished than MG3 nope ! More expensive, yes !! 😂
192bhp for this car. That's insane. For reference the performance Ford Fiesta ST had about 195 bhp. 😂
This will be affected by weight, useable power ( as mentioned in the review ) and handling ( also mentioned ). 0 - 60 in 8 is good though. Rumour was that at one point MG were looking to do either a mild or hot version of the previous 3 but they didn't in the end. Would be interesting if they looked into doing something with this
So there's a Clio hybrid eh? I wonder why there's no Dacia Sandero hybrid which is somewhat loosely based on a Clio.
I bought one in May. It was great! ...until at 2,000 miles the drivetrain broke. It's been with the dealership for three weeks and counting, and they've failed to provide a courtesy car. I'm a bit pissed off.

A friend replaced the previous Yaris with the current one. He feels the build quality has deteriorated: doors clanging shut and interior rattles and buzzes. Hopefully it will still be ultra reliable.
@@TL-xw6fh what is it a knock off of? Your Yaris isn’t the Yaris this car is competing against either, but I’m sure you’ve definitely had no major repairs in 120,000 miles…
MG2, MG1, MG MIDGET NOW ❤!
I have an MG4 Trophy, looks very similar to this MG3. But, I can't wait to get rid of it. It is honestly the worst car I've ever owned.
Doesn't look similar at all and 13-year olds don't own cars.
@@bugsymalone5744 is you well?
@@danieljames404 if you thinkbthe mg3 and 4 look alike you must be blind.
Just wait a year and buy it for £9000.00
A bit like Tesla depreciation!
How does that work when CAP HPI say after 4 it’ll be worth £12000…
if you didn't say it's an MG, I thought it was a BMW
Just do not like the hovering cheap Goodmans old TV like displays that not just MG is going with but that is just an opinon
what about security ! Toyota cars have 5 stars euroncap, what about MG3 ? last combustion model had 3 stars and upto now, no crashtest data for mg3 2024.
Yes, I'm waiting on the MG3's NCAP test too but to be fair, the car has only just been released to showrooms. And the old MG3 might only have managed 3 stars but it's over a decade old now. All of the most recent MG releases like the MG4 have achieved 5 star NCAP ratings. Be patient. The testing will follow...
@@MrSensible2 thank you
I thought yaris had 4 stars I am not quite sure anyway I imagine this comes down to systems like lane assist and so on
@@x.kasiouris5503 thanks, ncap global for Toyota Yaris 2023 was 5 stars
Far far too expensive!
Okay, I’ll bite;
Where should a brand new automatic self charging hybrid be priced Nigel?

Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

depreciation will be MUCH higher vs Yaris, will more than make up for the initial price difference
But the Yaris is way worse than the JDM imports of the Toyota Aquas
Well this will depend on how long you own it. If you are only keeping it two years then you are probably better off leasing either of them. If you intend to keep it for the 7 year duration then I suspect you probably won't make the difference up as the Yaris trade in maybe £6k and the MG3 maybe £4k.
I guess for many people the finance deal will be a big decider.
Wrong. CAP HPI predict the MG3 will have the best residuals in its class.

HPI CAP predict these will hold 60% of their value after 4 years. That is better than anything else in its segment. Horrific depreciation? I think not.
Actually you’ll find that Clios & Corsa’s depreciate faster than MG’s and even Dacia’s
You can buy BMW that were 100k new now 15 year old now for 1-2k ,that i call depreciation
Only slightly better than a Dacia, best avoid
Cheapest: probably. Best: not even close
