After trying this handheld at Portland's Retro Gaming Expo, I can honestly say this console will sell like a wildfire. As soon as someone physically tries it, they're gonna want it. I just preordered 1 today.😊

Technically, it seems like the limited part applies to these "first editions". Leaves room for more releases/color schemes if its financially viable. Of course, if no one buys it, there wont be anymore.
Cool device, but why did they slap text directly above the screen on the bezel? If you have to put branding add in the same spot the OG Gameboy did below. I’m totally nitpicking but it bothers me😂

@@diongrant9746 It has the same resolution as an original DMG or Colour pixel perfect backlit. It's incapable of upscaling as there's only 160 x 144 pixels. They don't make displays like that anymore untill the Chromatic.
@@Murdock-2.0 while impressive this and the analogue pocket, them being $200 has always struck me the wrong way. It's way too much. I hope someone in the future makes a device that's half the price

Then it would probably be a lot cheaper. It's a shame because I really love everything about the Chromatic, especially the overall physical appearance of it, but $200 is just way too much, and in my opinion, it's absurd.
Its a luxury item made for people that ONLY want what it does, most people plugged into retro gaming know about the alternatives, I own 3 anbernic handhelds and a steamdeck that i use only for emulation. I've already preordered the chromatic, headphones, and dragonhym one of its launch titles. Now you may wonder why since i already have all those other devices its because I CAN and also the idea of just having a dedicated handheld to still play my old cartridges while im on my lunchbreak at work is more than enough reason to buy one.

Nice having correct resolution but should of made the screen size at least as big as an original Gameboy Pocket.
Great idea, hopefully has a better battery life then the original. Perfect for my daughter , as she keeps dropping our 3ds.
I want one cause of the build quality but unfortunately I put too much time and money into my Analogue. Must play SNES and Genesis for me

No unfortunately. It doesn't support Game Boy Advance games. For that you'll want the Analogue Pocket.

At that price though, the Analogue Pocket is a better more capable device for literally $20 more. Missed the mark on this one unfortunately.
