Interesting lesson, I've tried to repeat it, but every time on the stage when I press unite in pathfinder I never get the same vertical lines....and as a result nothing else works as this step didn't work. Please let me know what I'm doing incorrectly, I cannot find the answer, I've tried this about 20 times and I never got unite step correctly. Thank you
Not sure if you will need this info but I had the same issue and figured out that some of the polygone where doubled on to each other. And when uniting them it only didnt include the ones that had two polygones (I dont know how that happens). So I just deleted the doubled ones until it was correct again with single polygone on each place and than united it again and it finally worked :)
Its great video really, but if you make a tutorial of creating a poster why your not explaining what your doing, what shortcuts you using, what you pressing ,and so on.. its really difficult to follow your tutorial unfortunately without explanation... :((((

I don't understand why all of these TH-cam Adobe Illustrator videos suck. Are they purposely made for people who have used the software for 5 years and need a refresher??? Newsflash Indra this is not a tutorial! You give no verbal directions or explanation on how to use the tools in Illustrator.
You just need to know the very basics. I have been using Illustrator for about a day and the video was expressive enough for me to know what to do with the basics I learned from other videos. Now I have my own flyer based on this tutorial :)
This is actually a fine tutorial if you have managed to get a hold of the basics. I started 3 days ago with simpler and more basic tutorials and after reuilding some other stuff, this tutorial already is self explanatorial... keep it up
I'm late with it, but yeah this tutorial was brilliant! No verbal communication needed. Instead, the person did write which shortcut keys are for which action. Creating a hexagon shape, duplication, clipping mask, opacity, resizing, text, all simple tools anyone familiar with Illustrator can use.
I'd like to say one thing... If I take a course with the intent to learn something... the instructor does not walk into the room and turn the radio on then start performing the task as I watch expecting me to understand what he is doing. This new trend of music only is popular and widespread. It's annoying and useless. If you want to reach people and teach people then please do that. I have a radio too. Just my thoughts.

I found the answer, so instead of clicking on UNITE, click on INTERSECT instead and it will work just like in the Video, try and let me know
