  • Here is another cruise excursion review of the Virgin Gorda where we visit the Baths, Caves, and Devil's Bay. I review how much it cost, the time to get there, the fairy ride, the beaches, the huge rock boulder, the caves.

Thanks for the information and not dubbing repetitive music. Useful.

what time of you did you go? we are planning a trip to either St John and ferrying over, or do you recommend staying in British Virgin islands?

I have a question? I noticed your camera went underwater a few times. When walking through the baths will you need to dunk your head in the water? The reason I ask is next year were going on a cruise and 3 of us are HOH so we will be wearing hearing aids that can't get wet. If the water is no higher than up to your chest we're okay but if we have to dunk our heads at anytime IDK. Are there lockers etc?

What I'm wondering is, what I'm trying to remember Who takes the fee when you hop on the ferry do they charge you that $35 fee I know when you get off the island there's no one there on the boat dock to take the $35 and then you get on a cab to go to the baths did they charge you the fee the cabdrivers I kind of remember something being really shady about the whole deal sometimes there is a fee sometimes there was not?

I don't remember my mom and dad lived on Tortola for 10 years I can't recall I vaguely remembering something about a fee but we would boat from Tortola most times it's a pretty place stay away from the Manchineel trees!

DDIY Guy Danny Jose question for you: do we need to arrange for Speedy ferry in advance? Or can we just walk to Speedy the morning of and get on a boat and back in time? Thanks so much!!!

Farinaz Barker The fairies have set times, I went down in the 90s i've seen a lot of changes in Toratolla before the Cruise ship dock, and after if you have 6 or 7 hours before you have to get back on the boat you're fine just get a taxi, the taxi drivers are waiting down there to pick people up and take them to the ferry dock they used to serve rum on the ferry I don't know if they still do, if you can go to Tortola around bambas moonlight party at the bamba shack they serve a mushroom tea at midnight, and everyone including older conservative tourist drink this tea and walk along the beach it's so bright you can even go swimming tripping on mushrooms a lot of cool things in Toratolla, Google Bomba's full moon party at the Bambara shack Tortola is the place to be people come in from other islands just to attend the full moon party thousands of people drinking this hallucinogenic mushroom tea, I used to hang out with this local islander, and him and I would go mushroom hunting up near sage Mountain national Park and then we sell the mushrooms to Bomba because he cooks this huge vat of mushroom tea and people get fucked up it's fine not to mention all the alcohol your drinking but Bamba might not be there anymore that was a wile ago, turtle also has a rain forest Sage Mountain national Park the very top of the island with the best view in the virgin islands it's awesome and great cigars little Denmark a cuban cigar store still open

Farinaz Barker the Best beach on Toratolla used to be smugglers cove but I don't know if they developed it or not it was used in the movie making of the made-for-TV movie old man and the sea with Anthony Quinn it used to be the perfect beach Elizabeth beach is bad ass the taxi drivers all want to take you to Cain Garden Bay they take all all the crew ship people to Cain Garden Bay but it's the shittiest beach the swimming is horrible there's no coral long bay beach is also awesome for coral but don't go to Cain Garden Bay it sucks go to Elizabeth beach, or long bay Best snorkeling on the island

Farinaz Barker the ferry is every hour on the half. You can pay for a bus on the VG ferry dock when you arrive or prepay at the Speedy's desk for a ticket you will give the driver.
There is a $3 entrance fee because the Baths is a national park and thus protected 👍have fun.

Is a beach chair provided with the entrance fee?

Unfortunately not. You also need to make sure you don’t bring any expensive items there unless you have someone always with your stuff on the beach. I think there are lockers you can get there though but we didn’t need one.

Do you know if there are lockers there?

Unfortunately there are no lockers there. Don’t carry any valuables else someone will need to stay with it while everyone else goes in the water :-/.

There's a lot of fees if you know what I mean in the Caribbean the Virgin Islands! Take a ferry to Peter Island! they charge nine dollars for one can of Coca-Cola for real!

Peter Island is owned by Amway. The price is effectively to keep locals away unfortunately.
