Wow, that ground looks dry. Same here in Clearfield County. Trouble there's not a great deal of rain in the long range forecast .Looks like you've picked up a nice implement that will last you quite a few years ahead and the nice part is that they seem to operate pretty quietly. More often that not the opposite happens with farm auction equipment. Chalk up another auction win for the Farmall Fanatic .
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. How cool is that. I'm tickled pink for ya. They've already paid for themselves (almost). Your H has a new tool. Now check out that other 8' disc. Going to look at a non running Super M tomorrow.
Nice job! I was out at Greenhill yesterday and I saw an H with a narrow front in the auction rows. It actually looked nice other than the back tires just ok. The fuel bowl looked good and it has a hydraulic side hill hitch. Of course there will be a huge crowd at that sale.
@@FarmallFanatic it isn't till the following Saturday the 17th, the same day as the sale at Wattsburg. There will be a lot more stuff there by this time next week.
That disc has what appears to be the old style "box" cast iron bearings. The old Ford discs had those type bearings. Wish you wouldn't hack on the Deere folks by blowing them up that way. I have operated most all colors in my 62 years but I bleed green. Working on a 1949 B model refurbishment right now...
Ha! I was just talking to Erik about how you worked your fields with basic equipment. He argued you can't get smooth fields without big expensive equipment. So don't be surprised if he's commenting on lots of videos, lol
Be careful heating zerk fittings FF. I remember in a shop a guy heated one and the little ball shot out and luckily hit him in the cheek and not in the eye. It went in enough to get stitches. Of course this was before safety glasses were cool
That standing corn is so tempting to slice n dice with that new toy. Worked that ground very well, thinking about it. Pretty specific style disc. I agree, def IH 👌.
I have a wide front m like yours (not nearly as nice a seat) but otherwise similar lol. As well as a narrow front h that I plow with using a 2 bottom little genius. Excellent machines those farmalls. I disc with a ford 2n, good tractors also lol
The mighty H handles those like a champ buddy I just picked up a set of IH 10’ disks that I think it would pull just fine. I can pull them with my little 901 ford in third gear
A nice old feller up the road here a couple miles from me. He just used them for working up his kids 4-H horse arena. It needs a few scrapers and a wheel bearing but for $350 I couldn’t let them get away
Hello, I think that your discs may be worn down just a bit which may have caused part of the issue with the discs not turning as they should at first. Always Remember that the grease gun is your best friend in keeping your equipment up and going like it should. The ribbed agricultural tread tires made the discs look much better than the old “Maypops” that you usually see on used farm implements and wagons. Best Regards From Versailles,Ky.
I would like to see some nite plowing with a little blue flame out the stack.. I used to pick up a gear after sundown. Cool damp air. Try a drag on the back of the disc. Cement blocks to adjust weight. Use 2 by 6 3 across and two coming up to top frame in the middle of back gangs drag at about 30 or 35 drgree angle . can't move on the road .. We used a sled . 2 disks on the sled.
Thank you for the video! love hearing and seeing the H at work, OH, what happened to the "Hat Cam"? I know it was taking time to get used to it, or did it go by the wayside? Again, Love the video.
@@FarmallFanatic Yea! I know I saw a camera that fits on the brim of a hat, but you are right, you were trying the Glasses Cam. I think the glasses would be safer then trying to disc, drive and film behind you? But you'd be looking behind you while driving? Too funny. Lets Go Lets Grow!
my H turned 31hp with the 7:1 compression oversize pistons qnd high compression gas head before the upgrade could only pull an 8 ft drag disk after the upgrade a 10ft in 3rd gear most of the time 2nd in heavy ground.
You happy with the weight of it ? Solid day for the H right there. Proves me point again that a four wheel drive of the same HP would be SOL with a pull disk that size. Meanwhile IH walks off with it thru plowed ground. Haha I like that finger for a pin. Least a finger would holler when it falls out 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
@@FarmallFanatic lmk if any lucky volunteers come forth , sure would be handy to have 10 finger pins at my ready. I go thru a handful a year. If I use all 10 , I’m worried it may leave the next guy a bit shorthanded 😂
Well, originally we thought it was a John Deere. And that was swiftly nolafied. And then I thought it was a Pittsburgh. And then somebody did figure it out but I can't remember the name of it, it is really weird.
Nothing better than hearing the sweat hum of a working H or M. Love the red ones !! Boom
You know it 💥BOOM💥
Got that rite: them 80 year old 4 bangers really purrrr when working:
AWESOME RED POWER of the FARMALL H working dirt. Looks like that disc is doing a pretty good job. Thanks for the ride along. Take care.
So far so good 👍
Those Johnny discs do a great job, but with the green and red it looks like Christmas in Spring.. LOL

The Franken Disc did a great job.
Those old disks worked pretty good!
Nice to hear the sound and feel the power of this very nice classic tractor 💪💪👍👍
Red and Green. Looked like a Christmas tree rolling across the field. But that Chrismas tree was gettin the job done
Watch this video many times, but still enjoy watching the H disking.
More coming soon
Good disc ! Thanks for sharing double F

Glad you got them rolling without having to take everything apart :)
So far lol

I worked for an excavating contractor, it was interesting how the the guys always ran out of grease right as they finished greasing.
Done a great job discing.

oh that area is ready for planting
They look and appear to work great, all they need now is some red paint
Looks great bud I’m thinking about getting 8 foot drag type disk it’s far from perfect but 100$ is for 8 ft I can always buy some transports later on
100 bucks can't go wrong
What brand of green disc is that and how wide looks like the h was handling it pretty well
Liliston and they're 8 footers...need 10s
That is a nice disc I am looking for one like that for a John Deere B, looks and sounds good behind the farmall H.
These would definitely be perfect for a B

Good luck at the auction
just a question, whats your largest tractor?
Farmall 756

Not yet but I wasn't picking them up-and-down so it's not really urgent
do you own all of the acres around to farm? And how many acres is there all together?
This farm here yes, but I have access to just about unlimited ground if I want it
Is that your corn beside where you were discing?
Im not to educated on tillage equipment, but that disc kind of looks like a ford or a oliver with that bar for the wheels over the frame like that

We pull 3 bottom john deere plows with our farmall m and we have ih 370 12 foot discs
There’s 2things about getting grease into something it’s gonna spin like a top or grind to a halt
What the size of the disk ?
8 foot

Yep lol
Get R Shined up
Look similar to a set of kewanee discs
I have gone through just about every make and model and still cannot figure it out
Too light to fight, too thin to win
Why paint it all up and gangs still frozen ??? Putting the cart ahead of the horse imo.
I bought it at auction, pulled it home, greased it up, took it to the field
600 bucks well spent it looks like.
I did alot of that on an old ih m
Put to the test. It passed. Put a hydraulic cylinder on it a go, lol. Looking great.

get yourself a cheap cylinder and use the chain as a depth control
