    "Wet brush" is the term I've heard used on other painting tutorials so I think you're on the mark with the terminology there 😄👍

    for those in 3d printing hobby, Ilhadiel on patreon has a complete fantasy elf army of classic style and retro design, all it takes is subscription and all his models are unlocked (btw please recycle water and liquids you use btw and dont poor down the sink, UV agent in resin extremely toxic)
    anyways this is inspiring me to print off an elf army and paint this style!

    nice retro painting but that brush, is it from Japan and why does it look like a pen ? can u unscrew it and get access to the brush ferule ?

      Hi Dave. If I got a dollar for everytime soemone asked me about those brushes I would be set for life mate lol. I did talk about them in the video as I knew people would ask me about them. The are a Pentel brush from Japan used for caligraphy. Not really available outside of Japan unless you want to pay huge money for them which is not worth it as they are sythetics, But they are good for what I need as sable brushes are beautiful and I love them, but don't last the distance given how much I paint. The ferrel on the brush is too thick though. My only main complaint about it.

      The brush I am using ins a size 0 Pentel Neo Sable brush that is sold here in Japan where I live. It is availble on Ebay I believe but at high prices so be careful. They are baout $2 US here in Japan and they are used for caligraphy. Thanks. Josh
