    I’m sure this happens too but I’ve had multiple Lego purchases that I felt were packed stupid on purpose! Every one was listed with actual photos showing they were in great shape. The first one (NASA space shuttle) was wrapped in brown paper only and got absolutely trashed! This seller was awesome though and offered me a 75% refund if I’d keep it..which I did of course. The 2nd was an Indiana Jones fighter plane chase that was wrapped mostly in bubble wrap. Of course the box got bent. I asked the seller if he’d return it if I paid the shipping (listing said no returns). He agreed then said he’d also be deducting eBay fees! I said no way. eBay sided with me and refunded me. There will always be crooked sellers AND buyers. Luckily eBay has been more than fair… so far. I guess they can afford to be at the rates they charge!

      Dang...some of those are frustrating! Yeah, eBay seems pretty fair, which is obviously important in a market like that. Best of luck and take care!

    Interesting detective work on the stormtrooper seals! Smh some people...
    Amazingly high ROI on the HP Fluffy set. Also on the house banners! Another great video

    Definitely seems like the eBay buyer wanted your pristine boxes to swap out for their damaged boxes. Glad you got double profits on it as eBay almost always sides with the buyer!

      @hypercube1432 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ...Sides with the buyers unless you have proof, as he did. That's why it's always wise to make detailed pictures of your items.

      @@hypercube1432no eBay sides with the buyer almost every time and a lot of time even with proof they ignore the seller

      @@kdxbricksanalytics I would’ve never thought to look at the code on the seals of the set! I’m going to need a future video on these new Brickheadz coming out February 1 as I plan on grabbing them, especially the Spider-Man one 😂

      Yes, I'll be talking about the new brickheadz soon!! Spider man is awesome and I also like Stich and Micky! Fun commenting with you!

    About sets above 100$: I always leave a small dot on a side, hard to see, then I make a photo of a box where you can see this dot. Hopefully it cane save me some money in the future.

    And last thing: I sold 4 houses of Hogwarts in one set for 150$ few days ago. Profit after all costs was about 50-60%, I bought them like 3 months ago, so thats good. Still have more sets, single sets are 27-32$, so its worth to sell all 4 together.

    Fantastic work!
    Would be very interesting to have a video about the best performing sets after 1 and 2 years, which sets are retired in 2022, 2021, 2020 etc.
    I wonder whether there is any set better than the holy grail helmets.

    Great job on your investments . I had 6 tie fighter helmets I wish I would have bought more at the time but I think eventually they will all do well as future collectors are going to want all of them to complete their collection

    I sell a lot on Ebay, but it can be tricky, since they don't side with the seller at all. I sold a set brand new a few weeks back, no damage, etc. The second the buyer got it he emailed me and claimed that the box had been opened and was resealed, and that he couldn't guarantee that everything was there. He also complained that he purposely paid a higher price to get it before xmas (which he did). His story didn't add up, but i knew I couldn't win, was forced to give him his money back.

    • @kdxbricksanalytics
      @kdxbricksanalytics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dang, that's so frustrating. And I'm assuming the person just changed their mind and needed to come up with a story that eBay would believe to get the return. Hopefully most of your eBay transactions are great! The vast majority of people are great to work with, but there is the occasional bad apple.

    If you sold on Ebay, and offer 30 day returns, you can deduct 50% if the return is not in the same condition, but you did even better.

  • @adeoetrege
    @adeoetrege ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Different info: Europe sellers have tons on 75342, we (investors) get huge offers to buy them cheap, biggest sellers keep their prices really low (around 50$, just like half year ago). Personally Im going to sell them cheap and invest in something else.

    Would you consider to invest in 41729 Friends Organic Grocery Store and 41721 Organic Farm if you could get them with a 50% discount?
    And then there's 10270 Bookshop. Would you buy that set for 20 - 30 % off?

    Welcome to selling online. On the positive side less than 1% of people are dishonest and would do that to you. In the grand scheme of things it's not very common but sucks when it happens. Congrats on winning the claim though, that is rare..

    • @kdxbricksanalytics
      @kdxbricksanalytics  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was talking about the sales tax eBay includes on the purchase. I wasn't talking about the tax on profits. Good catch, I should have been more clear, haha!
