I remember my boom box in 1985-listening to Prince Purple Rain. I never had a concern about a shooting at my school. Now, as an older Mom, I have a 13 year old that suffers from anxiety -he told me just before end of school this year that he had a plan for every period where he’d go in case of a shooting. And we dealt with a lot of frustration this last year over the school not wanting him to have his home with him. All that said, I’m blessed to have a huge crafting room that also includes my son’s gaming area-at the very least, I sew while being able to hear what he’s saying while gaming. Loved hearing the chat about the changes in technology-I can totally relate. Thanks for the convos to keep me company while I sew.
What a fun video! Thank you for introducing this interesting creator! i look forward to following her. I couldn't make it last night for the live -- sorry, but you got "bumped" by a Hockey Game! I'm a true Canadian, Hockey comes very high on my priority list :D I'm so thankful the lives can be seen as rebroadcasts.
I wanted to go to quiltcon when it was in Raleigh. But as an elderly retired woman I couldn’t afford it. Where the prices stop I just don’t know? It was such a disappointment. But thank goodness it was a success without me. lol I watched some of the videos of visitors and enjoyed it very much.
Hi Nana - The Quilt Show tickets were *free* if you were a member of the Modern Quilt Guild. There was plenty to see if you just wanted to go for a day and experience the quilts - you didn't need to take a class, workshop, or do any shopping! In fact, several booths were there with *free* activities for you to participate in! Re-consider for Quiltcon 2026 - it'll be back in Raleigh!
@@sewbecca thank you so much! I did not know about the guild tickets. I definitely will. I’ll start saving now. Hahaha . I want to be able to get new templates and gadgets. I’m a fabric hoarder. I admit it. Again thank you for the reply and the info.
I don't go for more than an hour in my sewing space without swearing - it emphasises my feelings, both bad AND good!!

Tickets are cheaper in Europe
Does quilt con ever happen in the northern states. Perhaps in Pennsylvania?
Due to the unpredictability of inclement weather during Feb, QuiltCon usually stays more southward.
My daughter also does not want me to sing!
Oops it’s just gone black 😊
Couldn’t get the thumbs up to tick. Xx just saying in case it effects your , that funny word I can’t spell lol

I prefer the off words to preaching religion while podcasting quilting.
I quilt Amanda, I do not cuss. Filthy language is not the Lords way .
Okie dokie 👍
