This is a great video. It brings back memories of my own 1985 Z28. I bought it in August of 1985. It was the same color, and wheels as this model. My car had the TPI 305 as opposed to the kit's carburated engine. One other detail I noticed was the exhaust. My car had a single muffler with dual outlet tail pipes. It did have a very low restriction and a nice roar under acceleration. My car met its end at an intersection when a lady ran a stop sign. My car and I were totaled. The side road she was on intersected a highway I was traveling on at 65 Mph. I skidded 31 feet before impact. It was a large collision.
Thank you. I always wanted one as a kid. When I think of a Camaro, its this one. Awesome you had one. Sorry it met an unfortunate end. That sounds like a bad day indeed. Thank you for watching and taking time to comment. 👍
Great Video!! I, like many other commenters here, had passed this kit up many times. I finally broke down and bought it at Hobby Lobby during the 40% off sale. It does go together quite well despite the engine being part of the chassis. I did mine in a Krylon Black Cherry Shimmer Metallic with the silver trim on the bottom. It turned out pretty awesome looking when it was finished.
@@powersmodelgarage Thank you, it's up on my channel if you care to have a look at it. I realize that it may be inappropriate to plug my channel in your comment section and I apologize for that but just thought that you might want to see my build of this kit...
Question for ya, how do you go about the tail lights? You paint them right? I havent started it yet just opened to look and noticed the taillights they gave are clear and im not seeing any stickers
Yes, I used Tamiya clear red x-27 and Tamia clear orange x-26. If you use a good small flat brush, you can paint along the ridges. I also used Tamiya making tape to be sure the lines stayed straight
Very cool build and colour design👍
Thank you! It’s probably my favorite one right now. I very happy with it. 👍
