90’s were the best. From a kids perspective, no distractions from tech outside of the tv set, just the music and riding in the back of cars waiting for your favorite songs to be played, watching the scenery.
He used both in the first and second choruses in the studio recording albeit choice and voice were first and second courses respectively on the album version. He can also do whatever he wants because it's his song.
This is one my favorite live performances of all time (any band). another is Alanis Morissette on letterman- i believe her first tv appearance in America- i think 96? also amazing
Brings me back to a girl I knew nearly a decade ago…such a beautiful woman/such a sad story. Think about her more often than I should when this song comes on. Fuck what would I give to turn back the hands of time to see that face again.
It was very competitive since there were so many rock bands. Plus people used to buy physical records so record companies were more focused on signing up real talented artists.
I stayed up through ridiculously long commercial breaks waiting to hear this live. I'm fortunate to have seen this in real time.
I was 36 when this came out and now I’m 17. Smashing Pumpkins will forever be a classic ❤
Are you Benjamin button? 😂
@@3bottlesfor10 What? Why?
@@darklumin you went from being 36 in 1993 to 17 now, ageing in reverse
@@3bottlesfor10 Oh actually I meant I was 17 and now I'm 36, my bad
Wait, I was a 2 when this came out and now I'm 31. I'm so confused lol

No filters, no autotune, just a voice, a guitar and a bass
I get the sentiment, but Corgan's voice is like a tuned pencil sharpener.
This song always makes me cry, so deeply beautiful.
Me too ,even before Knowing what’s about 😢
It's probably the best live disarm performance ever! Even though he mixed up voice and choice.
Agreed. But let's be real... aren't those two words just one in the same here? Real music. Much love to you.

Woodstock with the crowd is great too
This melancholic felling, gives me great solace to my soul.
Not to mention infinite sadness.
That's cos this song is about him being anally raped as a small boy. It's a shame the truth of humanity isn't told
This is fantastic. I love this Era of music. I was 18/19 when all this good shit was coming out and radio stations played great music.
Me too 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Damn you old
Me too (too) ❤
They don't make good rock music like this no more
I loved this and still listening in 2022
Now 2023
Man oh man what a voice …
This is everything a band should be...
"When music was real talent back in the 18th century".
How does this version only have 108k views. This is top fuckin quality.
Amazing live performance!
30yrs of pumpkin smashing, hell yeah.
who's listening in October 2024?
Fantastic voice
Love the guitar solo at the end 🎸
The drummer had the day off
One of the greatest guitarists of our generation
He is so beautiful and he is better than every one in the world the most amazing
hits hard AF
I loved this show, would watch it every night. I even remember this performance.
Pero que buena rola, es tan genial, me trajo tantos recuerdos, hasta se me solto una lagrima 😅
Wow I’ve heard this song hundreds of times but I never heard him singing it with raw vocals and no effects. Great 👍
this is so peaceful and beautiful
Wow. I’m so happy I came across this.
I always love James's subtle guitar parts
@@NOOBNOOB007 Incel spotted
@@NOOBNOOB007 you can clearly hear the bass 😅

so unendlich groß..... das gibt einem alles , diese Momente zu zweit vergisst man nie
when music was real talent back in the 90's
it still is

There is no shortage of real talent in today's music. If you think otherwise then the problem is in the way you find new music.
If you don’t think there are talented bands these days, then not sure what music you’re listening to
@@davidjenkins6626 there isn't its all shit
with hair : what a change !
good song
Never seen any of their old videos, huh 😆
I want this played at my funeral ❤
killer performance by our beloved Bill.
Beautiful 🖤💯😎👍
real music.
Ray Cokes
Wow. Chills.
The years 🔥
Billie Is genius❤
79k views and one of the best songs ever😂
Would be so nice to have some good HD video of D’arcy from the early days...
@9099 not that there’s anything wrong with that
Love
Not to be shallow, he’s still a very handsome man bald. but he really was the cutest thing when he had hair.
nice
0:34 THE VOICE CRACK😂
Ray was a man
Ray Cokes is still amazing and a beautiful soul. He has a you tube channel and goes live every few days with a show 🙂
Does anyone know what song is in the end of the video?
Shazam it !
2024🖤🎶🎧😑
So much better than his acoustic in 2012. Night and day
Did James get into a fight with the world's largest Q-tip and loose?
It’s lose not loose
This is what EMO looked and sounded like before it was cool.
that shirt is so fire
I like
666, really Billy?
Then: 666
Now: Ø
I love this song. And this band. The mix on this was horrible but I guess you can’t expect much from a show like this back in the 90’s.
If you are a half decent guitarist then this song is quite easy to learn if you are up for a thrash.
How did he lose all his hair so quick?
Probably genetics
a razor
His mum died
More like "when MTV was really MTV."
J'aime comment le batteur trop blasé et gêlée lance ses baguette comme d'un je-m'en-foutisme certain à la fin de cette pièce.
The shirt says what...now...2:35
it's clearly 3 9's upside down.
Billy looks like Tom Brady
Daniel Brühl is a better musician than actor
This song sounds like the Cranberries’s Zombie
Nope
Ah brings my childhood i was 15 when this came out got the cd
I know Billy was kinda a dik to take all the credit but seriously, he's kinda the genus behind the band....imho..
No one can see the mark of the beast on his shirt disgusting
I can’t think of a better song from this era
This song is about sexual abuse
The time when he was able to sing
Meh.
The end was too redundant for me
great music, too bad they play for the satanic side
Cry child,cry..
Hahahaha found the cultist
Lol, what? 😂
Great song. Kinda bs he's wearing 666 on his shirt. Wtf yu thinking
