Good to repurpose broken tools . On my t&c , i have to back off the 30 deg when i grind the side clearance to maintain the 60 deg angle . If i don't , when the 2 edges meet the 60 deg is reduced . I use a sharpie marker to blue the side to be able to keep track of how much to reduce the 30 . Once the line changes from angled to parallel , i am on target . Cheers 👍👍👍

I will do that, I have the other parts done for the tool post. I have the 30yrs of broken carbide tools from the mold shop to make cutters from for a very long time. Thanks!

@@DonDyarprecision Hey Don , i was thinking if you can tilt the grinding head , the tool can be left in the same plane as the table at 30 deg & the tilted head would automatically grind the clearance with no effect on the primary cutting angle . I can not do that on my machine , but i was thinking about doing an extra spindle like you have that can tilt . 👍

I use a 3/8" flex ratchet with a 6" handle and a 3/4" socket. Also works great on the draw bar .I have the drawbar hammer with the socket but with the flex handle I don't have to tip-toe .

I have a Bridgeport shoulder from the drawbar and Bridgeport elbow from cranking the knee. I mention about overtightening because so many do it. I use the 3/8" flex handles and the sliding T bars a lot and recently been sticking Allen sockets on 3/8 rachets in hope of finding Allen wrenches when needed.
