So very cool mate, you are looking healthy and relaxed! I could sense how nice the rain felt! Good to keep space for more dragons because it's very addictive collecting them!
Great additions - Cacao and Mamey and Green Sapote will be watching - see if named varieties are around? Also Fiji Longan is a .must - very pretty foliage -great tour cheers 🌴
Things are looking great, thanks for the tour. Always love seeing these. I recently grabbed a green sapote over the mamey just due to space limitations. Slow growing plants right?
I'm so jealous! We moved again recently so I've got nothing but a few sad fruit trees that have been in pots way too long. At least now I'm putting them in the ground. Besides that, I've just got 1 raised bed with a bit of chard, kale, and a lettuce or 2. Melbourne's been pretty tough for veg this last year. Your place looks better in every video. Cheers!
Welcome to vege gardening in the subtropics! I did say it would be a challenge. Really need chaya, abika, katuk, tree lettuce etc to keep greens up over the hot months. That cocao might need some shade, they are not good in full sun, my mate grows his big ones in full shade, only an hour or so direct sun in the morning and they flower and fruit. Also the key west mamey is just a seedling from a key west, all the mameys and green sapotes are a bit of a lottery!
Very exciting stuff. Cacao, Rambutan, Star Apple.. you're going full tropical. Best of luck. Green Sapote is indeed hardier. It's doing well in George's garden down in Melbourne so you should have no problem. I'd kill to grow Sapodilla here in Sydney. I have a seedling which is growing extremely slowly (as expected) but grafted might be better. Maybe I'll have to grab one Daley's. They go on sale so rarely. PS. check out my food forest video here in Sydney. Just uploaded!

Perhaps he could try the cocao behind the new shed in the shade
Look how big the Carambola is now. Mine is now starting to flower and I only planted it 6 months ago
One of the fastest fruit trees to flower and fruit.
Love your garden @fraser coast food forest. My garden is smaller than yours. How big is your garden?
G'day mate. Thanks for watching. I'm on 3750 sqm
where in Melbourne do you live ? this is an amazing range of tropical plants. how big is your garden ?
I'm in Queensland now.
nice
I sprinkle cinnamon powder on my fruit trees that get infested by ants. It works great as a deterrent. What banana varieties are you growing?
