You can tell it was made by the creator of Danganronpa. It just feels like it, even the music and character design. Looks like fun so far.
It's cool how the success of Danganronpa let them give this game a bigger budget, now they can finally do a full 3D HD game without limitations!

I can already tell the music is about to be phenomenal, especially with Masafumi Takada being the main composer on the work. Raincode is looking to be Danganronpa's successor, which is great.

I really think this is going to be a reference inside the game. I mean spikechunsoft is famous for refericing other games.
For example In IA the somnium files there's a the signature of Junko enoshima from Danganronpa and Kongo (ace) from 999, in a restaurant.
Shinigami reminds me so much of Junko Enoshima, it's like she died and turned into a ghost, then went on to haunt some poor schmuck lol. She also doubles as the games mascot, just like Junko.

This game almost seems like a spiritual successor to Danganronpa, and you will not tell me that the main protagonist is not Makoto and Kyoko's love child!

You can be negative about spike chunsoft for their dialogue sometimes being repetitive and long winded, but they always create fascinating stories and imaginative game mechanics. I’m so excited to see what they cooked up
The long-winded aspect is probably a translation thing to some extent, but I also never played a Chunsoft game before

@@wispral7739 i mean the danganronpa series has some like. major issues. sometimes it drags on, and there's some moral based issues (like komaeda's meltdown being framed as "him showing his real self" which is. people thinking that is realistic, but they should've made it clear that wasn't what actually happened as it's rather ableist) but it's otherwise a good series

I was surprised at the ENG voices. The voice of Dori from Genshin Impact fits perfectly for Shinigami, but i didn't expect Lucien to voice Yuma. I was fully prepared for it to be Zach Aguilar or Bryce Papenbrook

Why persona? I'm a big fan of persona and shin megami tensei and.... Rain code has literally no persona vibes, no persona game play... It's just both a Japanese game, the looks are also very distinct otherwise like huh?? Don't get it, it looks nothing like persona. The only common thing is when you really stretch it that persona 4 was also kinda a murder mystery but my man... Touch some grass.
Dang. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth took a weirder turn this time around.
But for reals I like this game's style. I want to get it already!

This is probably my most anticipated game of 2023.
I feel like other games are more exciting like Fire Emblem, Like A Dragon Ishin, and Octopath Traveler II, but I'm really hoping Rain Code turns out to be amazing!

Wow I completely forgot this game existed for two years. I was excited for it when I watched this and everything. When it finally released on Steam a year after the Switch, nobody was even talking about it. It had no marketing, nothing.

So cool that Lucien Dodge who voiced Felix in Fire Emblem Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will be voicing the main protagonist in this game.
He also played characters in the Danganronpa games made by the same developer as this game, and he was in Shadows of Valentia as well
I've mostly come to recognize him as Class 7s lovable musician from the Trails of Cold Steel series, Elliot Craig

@@Jordan3DS I assume they're talking about the Mysteriful Limited Edition, which comes with a concept art book with commentary from some of the designers, a plushie of Shinigami, an official soundtrack CD, The game (obviously), which is in a steelbook, all of which is packed in a box with exclusive art from Rui Komatzusaki, overall looks pretty cool
Shimigami seems like a very fun character. And I think her voice actress would actually be perfect for Ruruka Ando from Danganronpa 3, if they couldn't get Jad Saxton to reprise her role for the video games.
This really gives danganrompa tho I wonder if throughout the end they actually tell that something is aftually related to junko maybe

And that's exactly what is happening here, everyone looks at this game and thinks 'oh Danganronpa game" and they should see it as their own game, as their own identity, not just "Danganronpa sequel "

I mean yes it have the same things, but actually have more, 3d aspects, a new world with new rules and characters and story, new mechanics, not Junko plot twist. (The villain have to be a boy this time, or at least not a psycho with no motive like ..... And Junko and tsumugi)
I mean, i will appreciate this game with the parts based on Danganronpa and the not Danganronpa parts, i whish this game will be great.
I love Danganronpa also, but this game is the creator going out his comfort zone and making a new whole proyect not force to follow his troupes and making a more unpredictable experience overall.

This has a sort of Shin Megami feel with a Persona feel to it. Plus with it being the creators of Danganronpa it's gunna be good.

Honestly, this game probably has absolutely nothing to do with Danganronpa.
But if it's got Rui Komatsuzaki's art, that's not going to matter, because the fandom's going to assume funny high school amogus anyway. That art style is almost too distinctive for its own good.
