    It’s great to see that you’re a fellow member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 🙂 you do a great job of taking care of your family and your home. ❤

      In real life it’s definitely not easy or perfectly executed haha! But it gives us a good framework routine 👍🏼👍🏼

    This is actually a really great idea. I especially like how you rotate the weekly tasks. This really frees up the weekends. Lovely!

    This was so helpful! I almost feel like I’m becoming a tiran because of how tired and burnt out I am. I will start implementing some of your tips, thank you so much ☺️

      It’s so easy to become a tyrant when the house is involved! It’s a constant struggle for me, although it’s a lot easier when there’s a routine and method 👍🏼

    Would you make a list or tell me what method this is close to? It is so practical and I need something like this in my home! Thank you so much for sharing!

      The Simple Clean method is what most of what I do is based on. It’s a book and is super helpful! I’m working on getting my lists online as well.

    I love your home decor! I wanted to do something similar in my living room and have been looking for a couch like yours but all I have found are really tall bulky ones that won’t look very good in our space. Where did you get your couch and rug? So beautiful! Thank you so much for your videos! It’s my second year homeschooling and I have enjoyed all that you have shared.

      Thank you so much! Decorating is one of my favorite things to research and think about (besides homeschooling 😉) we got the couch from Burrow and the rug is from AllModern, if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching!

    I would love to know how this fits into your school day. My oldest is 8 then 6, 4, 4, 2. So I have 4 decent potential helpers. But we deal with a lot of dawdling which ultimately results in our schedule being pressed and lessons being missed because of chores. I am working on the dawdling and trying to motivate them by free time, but would be curious to here when in your day the kids do these tasks.

    • @simplewondersacademy
      @simplewondersacademy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We do this in the afternoon, around 3pm, sometimes later if we have a play date. It has to be done before their screen time. It helps if we set a timer for 10 minutes and clean really fast for those ten minutes. If they dawdle then they have to stay and clean longer while the rest of the family watches screen time. Another fun thing to try that helps dawdling is to record the clean up with my phone on time lapse setting. My boys love watching themselves clean up really fast

    When to start . How old was them when you started to do it with them please

    • @simplewondersacademy
      @simplewondersacademy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I begin teaching them as soon as they are verbal and capable enough, around 4 years old. I start with *very* small tasks, like picking up 3 books and putting them away or 3 toys, 5 pieces of garbage, etc and that’s all they do for their “zone.” I do the rest. But they keep working their way up to more difficult tasks as they master the small tasks, and by 6 they are able to complete their zone on their own.

      My 1.5 year old can pick up toys and put them in a basket. If in the beginning you make it a game it's fun for them until it becomes a habit.

    What age do you start this at? My kids are still very little, but I do hope to do something like this as they get older.

    • @simplewondersacademy
      @simplewondersacademy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I usually start as soon as they’re capable. Cleaning up their toys when they’re done and taking dish to sink, around 2-3 years old. Then around 4 they begin helping with zones and housework. It seems like girls are more willing and capable at younger ages, but my boys weren’t ready until at least 4 (some were older) ☺️
