hello, do you think this works for the new ip cameras that also record audio and are full color... do you think that by making this connection it would record audio or only give video?

I have wirless system . I want to convert to wired . I have NVR with biult in monitor. NVR with one port. 1 cam can be connected directly. But i have 8 cams . I buy TP link 8 port 10/100 mbp switch . I connect cams to switch and NVR but not working.
Plz guide this need router or some configuration?
If router needed so Internet needed or not ?

you NVR not PoE,single port to switch,i prefer PoE switch 8 port,if you use normal switch,use rj45B(use orange and green for data,and blue positif brown negative)This for camera,and for switch just termination like usual(rj45B)
