I carry my AD-15 more than any of my other large Cold Steel knives. Even more than my AD-10. I like my AD 10's more, tanto and drop point, when they're in my hand, but my AD-15 carries better and handles almost as well in hand, and is more fun to fidget with.
Amazon had AD15 black scales by Amazon fulfillment center for $99 last. I bought one and a week later it was at $89. I bought it again. I then decided 2 was too many so I returned the $99. Now they are $160. Kinda kicking myself for returning the first one.

Cool
Do you still have the black version? How’s the finish holding up? Is it scratched off yet?
@inspector-tech it's been on my EDC rotation for a while now and the finish is still in good shape. A couple of scratches but that's about it.
@@LouieD2 Cool! Thank you 👍

That was a really solid deal. Thanks for sharing 👍
Is the black finish the same DLC as the Recon 1?
It doesn't seem like it. The finish on the Recon 1 I have appears to be more glossy compared to the matte on the AD15.
@@LouieD2On all the sites it's never listed as a DLC so I cant decide which variant to order. Has the coating held up as well as the recons?
@@coxdevj on the Recons yes. The matte finish on the AD15 tends to get marks easier.
@@LouieD2 okay thanks for the info
👍🏻
where did you buy it?
I got this version on Knifecenter
