    Cary I just watched your seatbelt toss today and was blown away at your fluidity and precise understanding of; pressure sensitivity, leverage and position. I'm a huge fan of your teaching method and insane skill level. As an MMA instructor even at 50 I still aspire to have a far greater physical understanding of wrestling and its instruction and your stuff is an incredible resource.

  • @duddlebob12

    On whether this move is legal or illegal (folkstyle):
    1. Biggest factor is what part of his body he lands on. Head means it's probably illegal. Shoulder or arm probably means its legal.
    2. Equally important is the ref. He/she will decide whether or not the move is legal based on proper execution or not.
    3. Last but not least this move will LOOK illegal based on the amount of back arch put into it, which more often than not will influence the call by the ref. My coach was a freestyle state champion and he says he got called for moves similar to this simply because they looked illegal, not because they were illegal.
    All in all I believe this move is completely legal. The refs most likely would not have a problem with it. It is basically a shot with the addition of a wicked mat return finish.

    • @willcathey4266
      @willcathey4266 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Omg dude you are so helpful I was looking to see if this was legal because it looks crazy. Thanks 👍🏻

    • @n.starkey5264
      @n.starkey5264 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      i always worry about using this in folkstyle, because execution is the key to getting called or not

    • @adventuresdowninthehollow205
      @adventuresdowninthehollow205 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another factor is who hits the mat first. I use to teach how to do low throws to 160 lbs and up when I coached folk style.

    • @leehall735
      @leehall735 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bad ref could call it a suplex. I wouldn't use this in high school wrestling refs are weird when it comes to throws vs slams

    The most amazing thing about this channel and Cary is the fact you could watch a video from 2009 or 2023 and they look exactly the same. The room, the thumbnail, the edits, everything. Quite impressive, not to mention the insane output
