    Nice work and good video. Did you have to use those microswitches to trigger relays? Or are the switches rated to carry enough current to powers the reverse lights/NSS? The rating on the micro switch that came with my shifter is 0.1A @125 VDC. Not sure what the translates to in a 12V system. Thanks!

    I've had the neutral safety switch on my Pro Stick for years but never really knew how to install the reverse light switch. Bought one a long time ago but never used it. I had no idea they bolted together till I saw your video. Now thanks to you posting this video I have both installed and working correctly. Thanks again it was very helpful and detailed

    Awesome video, thanks for the guidance!
    I'm looking for a video on how to remove the 2-hand reverse safety device... I am an offroad application, I don't want/need that.
    Good Luck on your build!

      My apology for pointing this out, but it looks like you may need to include 2 longer bolts in this kit as well as the short ones.

      @@drag_week_racing_adventuresAnd a stronger box cover with a illuminated PRND21, and micro switches that fit without having to dick around.

      Hey Jason, Jason here!
      You got any videos on how to remove the anti reverse mechanism?
      I have an offroad project and this mechanism is a pain in my backside!

    To anyone who dont want to drill your switches the screw size is #4-40x 1 1/4. They have it at lowes with the nuts for $1.50

    Got a Pro Shifter and it looks like it had a reverse switch at one time. Still has the plate and 2 wires w/female connectors. I also got the 80844 kit and 80609 switch. Are the 2 switches the same part?

    • @alloyspeed1889
      @alloyspeed1889  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they are the same switches. Use for reverse or neutral safty. 80609

    Hey bud. I have a black and red wire to go to the neutral safety switch. Does it matter which one goes where? Merry chrissy and a great new year to you. 🇦🇺

      They should be non directional. So your safe either way.

      Alloyspeed well, I’m installing the switches on a ‘71 Nova. Wires are purple and purple with white stripe.

      Alloyspeed I’m not sure which are the wires for the reverse lights.

    • @thewhiteelephant
      @thewhiteelephant 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alloyspeed really, I just need to know if it matters where the wires connect into each switch-top or bottom? I’m thinking it doesn’t matter(?).

    • @alloyspeed1889
      @alloyspeed1889  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thewhiteelephant I dont think it matters on with leg of the switch you connect to. Also my lights are grounded in the rear and I only needed to supply power.
