Hi did you manage to find one? I haven't. Tried so many retailers across Europe and US. Some people on various forums say it's not essential to use this. I don't know. There's a risk I imagine. I really don't understand how tensioning the cam chain a little more ( its not alot ) I've looked very closely at people doing the cam alignment and when they loosen and tighten the cam shaft end bolts I don't even see a slight movement. Maybe it just effects the torque value ( 65Nm) when finishing.
It is neccesary to get the alignment check when its on operating tensionx thats why you need the tensioner. The black adjustment tool you put over the cams is then used to check the timing, then you retighten to 65nm. It wont be aligned in operating condition if you do not use the tensioner, thus probably making things worse. @@CLLUK
@@CLLUKkfm motorrijder should get it in stock per june. But we will have to see. If i can get it i ll do it myself. If not i ll have to let someone else do it. Bmw dealers will not do this procedure, not even when asked.

hola buenas, ya que no te lo dice él te lo digo yo, para hacerlo bien necesitas estas 3 herramientas, te pongo las referencias de BMW, se puede hacer el mantenimiento sin ellas, hay que ser fino y tener un mínimo de conocimiento de mecánica, pero como todo, con las herramientas específicas se hace mejor, lo que si que tienes que tener claro es que si pones el tensor de cadena tienes que ponerle una tensión de 3 cliks con la rueda negra, en el vídeo verás que lo hace con llave fija, pero lo puedes hacer a mano perfectamente. 83 30 2 327 790 83 30 2 327 796 83 30 0 444 292 (que precisa también la Tool # 11 1 515)

block the chain in the correct place, If you don't have this piece, don't worry, you can use plastic ties and block the distribution chain to the ring gear so that nothing gets out of adjustment.@@whitteybioly

I know this is two years ago. How do I get hold of a chain tensioner to use to time the camshafts. Ideally I would like to buy a tool. Tia

Hola, si te refieres a eses dos pernos ( en cada eje ) entonces 16mm.
