I would do bias ply r's and adjustable suspension will help put pressure on the rear tires. But if you drive it on the street hopefully regular r's should work.

Need to make sure your suspension is setup properly too. front end rebound could be coming up to fast. Back might be squatting to fast or not enough. But good you have a test track to play with that. Rather than wasting runs at the strip.
First I’ll have to agree with a lot of the comments about getting a cage and chute. Aren’t high hp / high boost 10R80 cars leaving in 2nd gear? What gear are you doing your burnout ?

From what I see the front suspension needs tightened up. Its slamming the top and unloading the rear. 100% suspension issues. You can see it plain as day. Not the tires when you're not making that extra boost in the first 10 feet.
Man I’d pay to use that launch pad a few time for data logging purposes. That’s extremely smart. Charge guys like 15$ a data log prob talk like 2-3 logs so that’s 30-45$ from one person every time the setup changes. Give the customer a chance to meet y’all and probably bring in some nEw customers for work. Hell I would absolutely love that! I’d definitely pay 15-30$ for a few min to do some pulls for data logs. Gotta think that 15-30$ much cheaper than a speeding ticket if ya get caught. This is legit a genius idea. 200 IQ

More power and those tires might be done anyway. You’re right, it isn’t worth it risking your car for the price of a pair of tires.
Hopefully you don't waste your money on 17" R's, then later swap to 15" radial pros, or bracket radials, plus the new rims and mods to get them to fit. That thing has to hit hard down low with that pulley combo!
