The devs need to make everything that you sell or have on display not count toward your total stash weight. I know they just want you to buy fallout 1st.
You'd be amazed how little you actually need to keep in storage. Do the tadpole quests to get the large backpack, then put a weight reduction mod on it (I use the chems mod because stimpaks weigh a lot). Put build-specific weight reduction perk cards on, keep your food, aid and ammo on your character, and keep your stored junk to a minimum. And don't hoard weapons and armour that don't suit your build. If you're not using them regularly, then you don't need them.
The storage limit was the main reason me and my friends stopped playing, multiple times... Over the years. I've even used Fallout 1st to transfer all my scrap and ammo, but it's still just annoying. I'd have probably continued playing + my friends with all of us using Fallout 1st if the storage wasn't clearly monetised.
The storage really sucks in this game. I have over thirty sets of power armor in F04 so I guess you just have to pick a few favorites here. I made the mistake of grabbing all the chassis I found and wow… you can’t tell what armor is what without pulling it out and what a mess. Lol
I change the name of the frames so I can tell what PA set I'm grabbing, but I really only have a set of t65 now. I either sold or gave away everything else, and just keep a couple of spare frames to store any legendary PA parts I get that I can't immediately sell for scrip.
my biggest issue is not being able to scrap armor or weapons that are "legendary" at the crafting stations. You gotta go to lkegendary exchanges and they literally have a limit of how mauch you can do
Pin these tips: *From the video* -Scrap Everything You don't need or want. -Carry Weight *Only carry what you need, equip pocketed, deep pocketed armor* -Plans *Learn them, or drop them off at donation box near vault for new players* -MISC items *Check in that tab if it has unnecessary weight to them, toss, sell, or donate* -Perks *Have perks to make things weigh less or carry more* -Power Armor *Don't hoard, they all count in CAMPS as weight in the stash even displayed* The last one is so stupid but it happens.
I downloaded this game yesterday and encountered a group that helped me grind some snake boss, I went from lvl 22 to 67 in one hour. It’s kinda overwhelming especially since my stash is already maxed out
Good video. Please can I add the following points, with correct armor you can have a carry capacity of 700+. Also, don’t forget to scrap up your junk items, this reduces the weight of them in your stash box.
I think they meant don't store junk without scrapping it first. I also bulk it so I can keep track of how much I've got (never more than 5 bulk per type works for me) and easily sell or donate anything I have too much of.
I feel like I"m playing too much. My stash is full of pretty much only junk, I reach the vendor cap limit every day and stash is still consistently full and now my inventory is getting full. I guessss I should stop looting everything not nailed down for a bit. Or maybe I need to build a 10 story mansion to get rid of some of the junk.
I have the same issue, I think just look in your stash as what you have plenty of (like 500+) and then tag components you have too little off, then when you hover over junk it will show you the magnifying glass...like for example nuclear and oil type materials, they are not as easy to come by, but eventually you will learn what items have them and don't, and can just skip everything else
i have fallout 1st and trust me im still always out of space too, they need to rebalance stuff like making the vendors every 12 hours instead of 20 let us scrap power armor pieces and maybe even scrap food for stuff game still needs alot of work
Would love to get 1st but hell, its way too expensive for what you get! The discount was a good price for it tho, I forgot to buy it sadly cuz there was a free 1st for a few days...
I'm new to the game and I'm enjoying it overall, but I see myself very frustrated by the weight system. I'm wasting too much time managing inventory and stash that I end up leaving the game after quick sessions. It may make me quit the game in the long run.
MY biggest problem is the reduced weight on stimpacks, guns etc... dont count toward stash just inventory, kinda lame... i have fallout 1st and trust me im still always out of space too, they need to rebalance stuff like making the vendors every 12 hours instead of 20 let us scrap power armor pieces and maybe even scrap food for stuff game still needs alot of work
I’m about to replay dead money DLC so I can remember how to let go. I have a dumb amount of legendary stuff and aid items, food. Idk why I might try a melee build, and I plan to do a big gun build and don’t know if I want to do mini gun, plasma gatlin, laser gatlin, fat man, and I have one of each.
Yeah, I’m trying heavy guns and a gunslinger and melee build and realized today there is no way I can store it all. I guess I’m gonna limit myself to 4 sets of power armor.
the weight is by far the biggest drag of this game
They want your money that's why
It gets worse as you play. It's a hassle. It's started to annoy just like diablo
Could say it encumbers the experience ._.
That's all fallout games.
I’m about to replay dead money and just let go of all the stuff I ‘might’ use

Trying to get into fallout🙏🏽
Hopefully you enjoy it! All the games are different 🤷🏻♂️
I wouldn't have picked 76 as my first one.
I’m also trying to get into fallout and chose 76 because I want to play with my friends
New player here, beyond tired of dealing with storage space. I have fallout 1st too

1200lb seems like a lot till your level 50
BOUGHT POWER ARMOR DISPLAYS AND THEY STILL TAKE UP STASH SPACE WHILE IN THE DISPLAY, STUPID AS SHIT.
Ammo and drugs weight are the quiet enemies
Amazing video!

At least thay cam give us a plan for the legendary exchange machine

Bulk doesn’t reduce the weight. It just makes it so you can sell the junk on your vendor

i reach inventory cap every 20 minutes LOL , game is nice but i'm almost done cause of it
i have fallout 1st and trust me im still always out of space too, they need to rebalance stuff like making the vendors every 12 hours instead of 20 let us scrap power armor pieces and maybe even scrap food for stuff game still needs alot of work
Predatory game
My problem is the 500 script limit. I am swimming in 1 star legendaries that weigh 15lbs and I can’t sell until the next day.
Would love to get 1st but hell, its way too expensive for what you get! The discount was a good price for it tho, I forgot to buy it sadly cuz there was a free 1st for a few days...
Exactly why they did that unfortunately 😢
I'm new to the game and I'm enjoying it overall, but I see myself very frustrated by the weight system. I'm wasting too much time managing inventory and stash that I end up leaving the game after quick sessions. It may make me quit the game in the long run.

You can scrap PA, and I just dump any food that doesn't give me a carry weight or AP buff.

I can't seem to get my stash under 600 pounds
Fr!! cant seem to get under 800 myself.. weight limit isn't nice when u have a firearm obsession 😆
Thank youuuu
What Power Armor are useless... The Brotherhood want to know your location😄🤣
background music too loud
Here cause its free week play!
dam let me deisntall this shit, paying to stash is dumb af
One word: Mule
this game locks way too many *basic features* behind paywalls. such a money-hungry game.
I’m going to stop playing this game it sucks when you can’t collect more things
Too many grenades/mines and apparel too many crappy other stuff too.
But most apparel is weightless
You know, you can sell stuff you don't want, or just drop it in a donation box.
