Today I made a mistake. I didn't realize I had climbed to just over 39k caps. I was in an event and planned to go shopping player vendors and maybe buy a serum recipe to clear out some caps. As soon as the event ended, someone bought over 10k caps worth of stuff out of my vendor. Cleaned out almost all my ammo and the legendary weapons I had selling for about 200 each. So I only got about 800 caps out of that 10k+ that player spent. I just kept seeing the notification and hearing the "cha-ching" sound... I started yelling "No, wait, stop buying stuff for a couple minutes!" LOL.... oh well, lesson learned, never hold more than 25-30k caps at one time I guess.
That's why you buy with atoms extra camp slots, I just activate "no shop camp" so I know that it is taken care of in order to minimise losses incurred 9ver 39,999 caps
Once I get around anywhere from 32k-35k caps I just store my vendor. Turning the public camp icon off isn't as effective as teammates can still see the icon and have on occasion bought things when I was near the cap limit.

The absolute, hands down item that’s my best seller is alcohol recipes collected from the Biv daily. I set it at 500 caps, but they sell immediately. I bet one coild bump it up to a couple thousand, no problem. It just seems a vast majority of players either don’t know about the Biv daily or don’t run it. One thing to note regardless of what you’re selling, make sure your camp is visible. Camps default to being invisible, so if it’s not flashing on the map you need to change settings so people will see it.
Yeah i been thinking about that too, nobody is in a rush to unlock a Basketball Hoop or Ash Tray 😅 or Mole Miner Gauntlet Probably best to just donate those at the Vault 76 Donation Box, gonna do that later 👍
I sell those common plans(nearly all of my plans) at 10 caps. This way both new and old players can get them. I would avoid easily found plans such as mole miners gauntlet and workshop benches.
One tip for beginners, if you price your items too high, example: 50caps for purified water. People will walk away immediately and not bother looking at the rest of your vending machine.

This is my go to every time for that event. Easily 800 to 1000 caps+. I just walk my way to the vendor being over encumbered worth the weight of the journey 😂
The problem with selling ammo is the amount of weight they take up in storage, the ability to make your own, and the unlimited ammo storage you can use to convert useless ammo into ammo you need. Mutation Serums (299) and Bobbleheads (99) are my best sellers.
I saw treasure maps and I sell them about 25 to 28 caps a piece and they fly off my vendor. From other people's vendors I buy lots of 45 ammo in Fusion cells and I will pay more for energy weapon ammo but no more than a cap or two for Fusion cells
Any outfits that cost stamps, which can also be sold via vendors, (once crafted), seem to do well - I've sold tons of trench runner outfits, for instance.
If there were more players per server I feel like pricing could get so much more competitive too, I always think of the idea of people's camp all in one spot and people just bartering and trading
It just goes to show you that even at level 993. You can still learn something new. I did not know about the 10 cap they take one but if you do it for nine caps, they take a none pay level. I sell most of my basic stuff like plans and what not for 10 caps. I do a lot of workshops and things like that and end up with a lot of the basic stuff and that does sell well especially if somebody’s making a new character or new player. But I had no idea that I might as well charge nine because we all get the same. I get nine he pays nine I didn’t know that. I will now change my pricing strategy. Thank you.
I'm currently working on this new business idea for vendors because what's the one thing you've never seen or very rarely seen people selling at their vendors. Power armor helmets. My group of friends and I all went weeks without being able to find helmets to complete our sets and I just recently started my shop and this idea which I think more people who are able to get a hold of someone spare helmets should definitely do as well 😊
All ammo i sell at 1c a piece. Doesn't matter which ammo. Even energy ammo. Ultracite might be 2c a piece. Basic beginner plans i sell from anywhere between 3c and 7c whatever it stops on. I also follow the 50 cap per star scrip legendaries idea. Berry mentats at around 50c each seems to be a big seller lately.
I never use energy ammo myself, so I always put it in my vendor for 1 caps each, and it usually sells within a week. As for plans, event plans such as the ones from Fasnacht, Spooky Scorched, etc, tend to sell well if you take a fair price for them. Usually not during the event itself, but in the month after the event, people are looking for the ones they didn't get themselves. “I sell everything for 5 caps.” At my camp I named “Himawari Merchandise” fyi requests are debatable and I don’t stock ammo in my vender unless it’s Fusion Cores or Plasma Cores.

I don't worry about making caps. I enjoy pricing things like purified water and various Nuka Colas at zero and making expensive items really cheap. I regularly sell 3 star legendary weapons for 20 caps. I'm not even level 200 but since the community is so nice in this game I want to do the same.

I see most of my stuff for only 10% of what the cost is eg say a plan has a value of 500 caps I will sell it for 50 caps, found in the game no need to be greedy with the caps as easy to find or sell extra stuff to venders, do missions, kills enemies. so ya I don't make tons of caps but I make enough for what i need, I normal always have about 25k in caps on me most of the time so no need to over price stuff in my vendor. I find lendgary stuff harder to sell as its needs to fit player build/type so normally just scrap my ledgeanay stuff for scrips. as I've see way too many people tring to sell stuff for way too much, even saw someone trying to sell a 10mm pistol in their vendor for 1500 caps one time.
I've always sold ammo souly and hot damn do i make bank But if anything else I always do the same Ammo is 1 cap. And Certains plans range from 2caps to 50caps
I sell all my plans for a 100 caps piece and I can't even sell ammunition for a cap a piece it's the market it's not there for ammo or plans to be honest
So I made a trade recently with someone trying to buy 250 ultracite scrap of me for 12500 and my idiot self accidentally sold him 1 WHOLE scrap for 12500 caps……
Don't put 1 and 2 star weapons on your vendor. Literally no one will buy them. The only exception is if you put them for scripper prices, like 50 caps for a 1 star and 150 for a 2 star. But even then, probably not. If people really have caps to burn and just want the scrip, they might pay up to 1k for 3 star garbage ones, but it should be 400 if you want to be fair.

I sell groll and not meta grolls on my main, and groll armor on my alt as well as cobalt flux on all characters. I max caps within a few minutes of having my vendor on. Been at the vendor and trade game for a while now.
Had to pause the vid on 9 caps. Just make them free at that point 😄
Ok, just watched the rest. Wow! Cheap. I'll by a 3 * weapon for up to 800 caps and power armour 1k . 150 caps for a 3*. Where's your camp. You forgot junk too? You can flip a huge profit selling only bulk plastic.
Tip time! Go to west-tek, kill the mutants out front, pick up their laser rifles, server hop and repeat as much as you'd like, put on the scrapper perk card get 20 plastic per rifle. You're welcome anyone who doesn't have fallout 1st.
Sell toilet paper for 50 caps each. People will by it?
I can’t ever sell ammo in my vendor. I keep 10k .45 5.56 and fusion cells and they collect dust.
What platform are you on
I have a quad Tesla rifle with 20% faster fire rate I can go through 3 K Fusion cells in a silo easy
1 cap each I’d buy as soon as I see them lol
“I sell everything for 5 caps.” At my camp I named “Himawari Merchandise” fyi requests are debatable and I don’t stock ammo in my vender unless it’s Fusion Cores or Plasma Cores.
Bulk steel, lead, copper, oil and gears always sell.
Always!
I always find it weird that people buy steel. What’s your pricing on these. :)
What is good price for scrip? I usually buy scrip things at vendig/bot for 10 or less caps a scrip, at example a 3* weapon 400 caps or less
That’s how I price it and stock moves plenty fast. I could price it for more but I don’t need the caps, rather I’m more interested in clearing up stash space, and that’s why I basically only sell items 3 weight or more and just stash the 2 and under weight items.
50-100 caps per star I think is a good price. If you can get more, happy days
@@merkazoidduff7651 thanks, good to know, i am struggling with my stash space all days
Why sell anything? I have about a dozen water purifiers. Between selling water and bulk junk to the train vendor, I get the max daily amount and don't have to deal with players and vending machines.
Because they want more than the 1400 the vendors offer
Plus people like enjoy the business sim I just bought a fixer fo 1000 caps from a vendor and was able to turn around and sell it for 18k it's a hella of rush
i recommend selling .50cal ultracite if you got enought, instant sells anytime
For new players. Skull bandanas. 2 caps at a train station, easy 250 in your vendor.
I don't even sell plans. I just drop them in random places.
Been trying for a quad explosive. Handmade for a bit now and just sell the ones I get for 500 caps or script them back lol
I have received 2 of them. I acquired them through the legendary random rolls. Sold one of them for 15000, it was sold right away.
I don't worry about making caps. I enjoy pricing things like purified water and various Nuka Colas at zero and making expensive items really cheap. I regularly sell 3 star legendary weapons for 20 caps. I'm not even level 200 but since the community is so nice in this game I want to do the same.
what would you sell a GREEN asylum outfit for, i just yoinked one in the last few mins, utterly stoked lol, not selling, but curious as hell what they go for
red might be rare? that's cool, green took a while to come up its not brown or blue lol, those seem common, maybe greens a tier above that, maybe reds another one up from green, i dunno, but this things better than the red one imo, as are like 3 others lol
I sell all regular ballistic ammo for 1c.
Another thing if it's your vendor move around don't stand there everytime someone is shopping or looking people don't like you hovering. So lettem do their thing . Not everyone needs or wants what you have.
If you're a carnivore, you can easily sell your irradiated Sugar Bombs for 200 caps each.
Laughs in Jetpack plans, yeah i see these range from 3k to 5caps lol
Lmao, I got the fixer plan, and started selling them(w 3*{good one})for 650 each haha, from now on imanna sell it higher. 😂
I sell all of my canned food for 5 and nukas start at 15 and go up to 40 based on what kind of nukas.
I need to go back in my vender and price stuff more better 😅
I feel like I need a veteran player to help me with little details of this game. Overall I love this game and am enjoying it but figuring out whats useless, whats not, what should I sell what should I scrap, etc
For me bobble heads and mags are a easy sell.
only ammo I sell for more then 1 cap is fuel.
that's 2 caps
If you want unwanted 3⭐ gear sold quickly for inventory space, chuck them up for 500 each.
500?? Lmfao 350 is norm ppl pay 450 somtimes im just lost over it 😂
@@dylanlow1727 550 power armour, 500 weapons, 300 armour.
Sells out every time.
"Oh no, I'm so lost over something being sold for a couple hundred more caps than I sell mine when you got people selling them for thousands"
Get a grip lad lol
@@Quasichodo saddd!!! I don't sell I buy them . Know something. 🤣🤣🤣
I make it easy, all plans go for 35 caps and recipes go for 25 caps.
Treasure maps for 200 caps absolutely fly out of my vendors lol also fuel and 5.56.
200!!? More like 25
I've always sold ammo souly and hot damn do i make bank
But if anything else I always do the same
Ammo is 1 cap. And
Certains plans range from 2caps to 50caps
I sell all my plans for a 100 caps piece and I can't even sell ammunition for a cap a piece it's the market it's not there for ammo or plans to be honest
.45 ammo. Cant make enough. Nuka cola cranberries and bobbleheads are my other big sellers. I don't sell anything over 2000 caps.
got my fixer plan for 500 caps but that was just luck, ive usually seen them for like 4-5k
Ultracite ammo I sell 2caps each doesn't ever last long
So I made a trade recently with someone trying to buy 250 ultracite scrap of me for 12500 and my idiot self accidentally sold him 1 WHOLE scrap for 12500 caps……
Don't put 1 and 2 star weapons on your vendor. Literally no one will buy them. The only exception is if you put them for scripper prices, like 50 caps for a 1 star and 150 for a 2 star. But even then, probably not. If people really have caps to burn and just want the scrip, they might pay up to 1k for 3 star garbage ones, but it should be 400 if you want to be fair.
how can i tell if i have a rare plan?
Easiest way is to search it up, there’s sites than can help
Ya if people sell ammo for more than 1 cap(other than fusion cores etc) I won't buy anything from them
The pricing market is crazy right now because of the huge influx of new players
Flux, baby, lemme buy your FLUX
I have a lot of different fixer with nice effects for good prices. XBOX Players are welcome :D
Gt?
I always Ammo Convert the non selling ammo into the best sellers or just drop 'em into a public stash box for new players/anyone really if I don't have enough or can't convert 'em. Great little tips video!
I found 2 camps selling missiles, 1 sold 223 for a cap each & another only had 4 BUT had them set at 0 caps per
I struggle to stay below the 40k cap limit, so I donate or price stuff low.
Buy yourself bulk junk and scrap it into your junk box(if you have fallout 1st).
Or mutation serums recipes.
With the influx of new players: clothes and plans.
Lol there was one shop that sold everything for 0 caps
Everyone wants furious weapons atm
There’s no reason anybody should be selling 1-3 star weapons for more than 2k, that’s extortion 😂 stop the taxing ‼️
Dude lists everything but junk as good to sell lol
I haven’t bought junk in this game for about 2 years
This is all wrong.Items in this game are only worth 1 cap.Paying anything else is a rip off.
Good luck finding grolls for 1 cap
The higher your level. The less u need things. @@SMDTURBO
I sell bulk scrap at 100 caps a bulk, setting out 5 at a time so I don't run out too quickly.
Literally making at least 3k a day just on bulk scrap alone, not even including the rest of the stuff I sell.
The most common thing that gets sold quickly: Bulk Steel.
No one wants to do farming, you can use that to make a nice stack of caps.
100 caps for bulk steel?
@@DTDGamer I kept raising prices to see what people would pay and after a few days of too much focus found that 100 caps is what camp visitors will buy bulk for. Steel, Bone, Spring, Oil, Leather... what have you. ^___^
Nah he’s right, I just started collecting and selling junk and have been making bank. Just use a camp slot for a mobile vendor
