i think you removing the upright rows and just having one side delt exercise was a good move as your shoulder press is getting stronger now, i think before you had too much volume and may have been overtraining ? or i could be wrong, just my observation but love seeing you get jacked and strong the haters can't say anything now.

Coach, on barbell shrugs do you pull straight up or up and a little back?
Lean forward a hair and go straight up.
How big of a calorie surplus do you recommend for novices to bulk?
There is no set number but very small unless they are underweight.
