This is my dream car. I feel like crying because it was never sold here in South Africa. Sadly it will remain a dream. It's true when they say America is living the dream when it comes to these raw muscle cars. Mopar is all true muscle. I was happy to hear their announcement on not moving away from the V8 engine. Although it will be only 5 litre engines with hybrid power it still have the heart and soul of America in it. Electrical cars is coo but it will never have that soul that represents America.

@@65stang98 I can do it but then I can't use it because there is no right hand drive in them and unfortunately left hand drive cars are illegal to operate here. It's like seeing candy in a store as a kid but you can not do anything about it because of the diabetes issue. Been through that also so I guess it's one of that "have a look and move on" situations

I trained on these, when the first Challenger was being put into production. Working for Chrysler for almost 3 decades, I was certified on the Prowlers, Vipers, SRT/10 trucks, SRT/4 Neons, Shelbys, even the Turbo Spirits. I saw the Hellcat and Demon, in pre production, at the training facility in my town. They were making the rounds, showing them off to the techs before the public had the chance to see them.
As a boy, witnessing the muscle car era in all its glory, then living thru the hell of malaise era, I never thought I'd see the day a race car of such pedigree would be delivered as factory stock in 2021. That is one badass car!

My first Challenger was a 71 fy1 yellow convertible, 340, 4 speed w/ the pistol grip. Bought it in 76 for $400.00. 1980 found a 1971 R/T Charger, 440, bulge hood, no air grabber though, beige, automatic, on a corner lot for 2000. Those days are so long gone. My 70 r/t is the 440 six pack automatic,727. Vitamin C Orange. No need to tell you but I paid for that one. Your one lucky man, that green S.S. is amazing and I can at least live through you now. I love old school but the new ones are impressive and an entirely different animal. Daily driver, 2005 R/T Magnum. Mopar or no car. Love your knowledge and channel Dennis, first class all the way.
Love how Dodge guys run the transport protectors on the front 24/7. Looks great.
Love the F8, that'll be a great investment. $110k for the black one, not a bad investment. I still say the Demon is the more rare and desirable car as they're serialized and were a one yr only production. From what I've heard the Superstocks can still be ordered even though production is slow / halted and they will be available to order for the next few yrs. Actual production numbers may never reach 3300, but time will tell.

Now that Dodge has announced the 2022 SRT Jailbreak, Id like to see a Review comparison with the SRT SuperStock. Both will have 807HP. Add a Stage 2 kit from Direct Connection, both will have up to 885HP.
I have always loved hearing your knowledge on vehicles, your like a encyclopedia on everything with wheels! Coffee walk was one of the best ideas you could’ve done, I never miss it and I always catch myself going back to old episodes just because it’s so cool your journeys and collection. Hey Dennis, It must be awesome to own all those rare cars. What I don't understand is why you don't hang on to those 2 cars. I figure they'll go up even higher in a few years. Your a young guy and will be around for a long time yet. If I would have known when I was younger and kept a few of my cars, I'd have a lot of money now. I.had 67rs 350 4 speed camaro, 68ss 396 4 speed, 70 roadrunner 383, 70 Cuda 383, 72 cuda 440, 71 challenger 383, 70 cutlass w30, just to mention a few.
Would love to own another cool car but the cash isn't there nor my health to put one together. Love your collection you have Dennis.

I picked up my 2021 Super Stock this past Saturday. Took four months to get the SS. Pitch black with the rear seat delete. The car is awesome to drive.
What did you pay and how do you order? Can a normal person even get a limited production vehicle?

Go to a SRT dealer, and drop a great big box of money on the salesman's desk.
@@codytoutges9840 I paid invoice for the SS and 0% interest. These are not limited production cars at all. You just have to work to find a dealership that will work with you.
I ordered mine a.month ago. You're right it takes 12-16 weeks.

I'm a Ford guy, but after owning a 2007 Dodge Magnum for thirteen years and 226,000 miles later, I have to say hat's off to a great driving car that Dodge makes.
The Super Stock is an awesome car. It will be back in 2022. Im definitely considering getting one.
The insurance on this beast must be five figures. I long for the good old days when you would buy a basic car with a V8 engine, replace the single carb with three deuces, add dual exhausts with glasspak mufflers for good measure and then go street racing. Lots of fun for a minimal cost.
I went from insuring a '17 NSX to insuring a 2021 GT500, and my monthly premium dropped by about $100. So the Super Stock insurance rate might actually surprise you. Might.

I ordered my Super Stock 3 weeks ago and was told it might be 3 months before it shows up. Since they are (production) cars, I had no idea how rare they are going to be. Makes me a little less jittery about spending 100k on a Dodge. lol

How long did it take? Considering ordering one to replace my Charger Hellcat.
I ordered it on August 30 and it arrived on February 9 , so it took a little over 5 months.
Love the backseat delete option. More manufacturers should offer that .
I've just recently discovered this channel. I know that Dennis and Richard Rawlings are friends and I'm not insulting Richard but it's refreshing to see Dennis on his own outside of the Gas Monkey series. Richard is definitely entertaining but he can wear on you after a while. He's got Balls but Dennis definitely has more knowledge & sense...

I’m in love with the Black SRT! Challenger is one of my favorite muscle cars.
Dennis is an expert at marketing. If you go deep enough, you could make any car 1 of 1. It does sell, though, so I'm not judging.

Mine is a 17' Camaro Super Sport with stick, and love it, But these Challengers are bad ass too.
This is one of the very few channels on TH-cam that treats the viewer like they have some intelligence, zero drama and you feel like you learn something about every car featured with Dennis' narration. Breath of fresh air every episode.

This is a cool and interesting episode. I don’t usually get excited about Challengers, but you hooked me on these. Right off the bat, that yellow stripe on the front spoiler edge makes those cars pop. After the tour, I understand the significance. I absolutely love the green car. That color...😍😍😍

@@SNELLERIZED yes I do, but it is what drew my attention to the cars. It should be part of the graphics. It gives the car an aggressive “race look.” Typically, Mopars don’t do it for me. I was going through the motions until that yellow got my attention. I’m glad it did.

4500 ibs. if you like that old school muscle look you unfortunately have to sacrifice weight to power ratio and aerodynamics.

Honestly I would drive it and enjoy it. Just make sure I took good care of it and save all the paperwork

My 2019 sxt awd is driven by me every single day ..32k miles later couldn't imagine not driving it ..also couldn't imagine having more than the 305 hp unless I was driving to work on a dragstrip.

Hi Dennis, I own a 2018 F8 green Demon with a sunroof, build number 1041. I was wondering if you had the number of how many 2018 F8 green Demons came with a sunroof. I can't seem to find this information. Any help would be appreciated.
You should be able to email customer support with your VIN and get the options yours was built with and how many were built in that exact configuration. I’ve done that for a couple of my Mopars.

Anything is possible but I doubt it. EV's have no soul. Sure they are quick but lack personality and the rumble of a V8. I'm sure the majority of car guys will not accept an EV as a collectible.
@@MegaRich1981 Yes, for a few times but to fully recharge a Tesla takes hours. Refueling this Super Stock only takes minutes.
@@Tom-yj6mt - True. As a TRUE muscle car guy, having a no sound, garbage electric car, no matter how fast, is TOTALLY out of the question. Personally, NOTHING beats the sound of a healthy V8, no matter which manufacturer makes it.

Awesome car! Personally I went new GT500, but I did really consider the vanilla Redeye Widebody version of this. I don't go to the dragstrip on a regular basis, so that would be a better choice for me personally unless I bought it to just collect it. (I daily drive my GT500.) I think the Super Stock will likely appreciate a great deal in value once our Leftist overlords force us all to switch to EVs against our will.

Chase Brooks, Dodge Demon is no longer being produced. 2018 was the final year.
If I’m honest, this is kind of silly now that the Tesla plaid is out running low 9’s.
If i'm honest, I don't care if the plaid runs 8's, car does nothing for me and many others.

You can't really compare an EV with any gas powered car. Its 2 completely different technologies. Most jet planes are going to outperform the best prop driven plane.
I did though! I say this all because this car has one job- go fast in a straight line as possible. It’s being made a fool of by 4 door passenger cars that cost the same or less. These will be collectible for sure but the jig’s up. Dodge knows this too.

Ok, he doesn't say "most powerful ever", he says, "most powerful right now".
Some of these cars are ridiculously expensive and leaves most people unable to buy one. I bought a 97 Mustang Cobra and dumped about $35k into it which included the price of the car and pushed to 525bhp and pulled flat 11s at 128mph on street tires consistently, which if I stuck on drag radials, would smoke your superstock.
