This is closer to the kitchen counters my wife wants, just no veins, with a hint of coffee brown coming through and no shine. If I paint my countertop black, do I do a clear pour with Metallic brown pigment powder added, or also add black tinting like you did? I'm thinking if I add black pigment it will hide the brown metallic powder color.
Also, are there advantages to taping the edges and after a few hours peeling it off vs. letting the pour run over the edge after troweling and chopping?

I found you guys on TH-cam when I lived in Yreka and realized you were only an hour and a half away. So I made the drive up in 2017 when the smoke was just awful. Everyone at the office was super nice and amazingly helpful. Using a few different epoxies, I can tell you what really sets you guys apart is the MASSIVE work time compared to other products and the versatility in adding color in multiple ways. This is the only epoxy I use and what I recommend in all the Facebook groups I’m in.

I love the piece. I love the elegance of it. I'm trying to decide on kitchen countertops, but I am not sure about black. I'm leaning toward a dark gray marble look. My cabinets are white so I want a contrast, not a lighter marble look. I do love the ease of this application!!!! I get overwhelmed with more complex ones. But the more I watch, the more confident I feel!!!!

This technique is very simple and repeatable! I'm so happy it was what you're looking for. That was absolutely amazing to watch and sent me right back to being a 5 yr old little girl “helping” my Papa doing exactly the same thing to my Mama’s new hairdressing salon floor. I remember watching my Papa on his hands and knees with a great big “mask” on his face to protect him from the fumes! He would always tell me to stay right back or put a mask on but I loved the smell of the epoxy! This was over 40 hrs ago so I should imagine it’s not half as dangerous to work with nowadays! Now you’ve got me thinking about having it done to my floors!!! 😂🥰🤔
