The gameplay footage in this video is from this week. I think most of it is from before the last two patches. I played the game after both latest patches and nothing that I talk about is fixed by those updates, so my opinion stayed the same. The patch that was supposed to increase the difficulty did not improve it for me - I win 6:0 against CPU after the patch just as much as I did before it.
Hi bro, completly agree with you. This (fuc king)PATCH is a JOKE ! am very angry vs BigJok...hmm BigAnt...sorry A micro NANO update this 22 august. This is insane and SAD, this game is BROKEN, but some player on Steam say: "No ! that's really coool maaaan !" Me: Am tired.... -_-
Hi, so what tennis game for xbox series? Only Tennis Elbow 4? My first and only tennis game so far is AO (1), I did like it for a while, but after few days it's starting to bore me, it's too easy and too repetitive. I was thinking about getting AO2, is it any better and worth consideration?
I appreciate the points made in this video and thank you for the time you put in to test this game. As thirsty as we all are for a new killer-app for tennis games, we all need to take a step back and judge a game as it is based on release. It seems many people refuse to see the game for what it is, and insist we need to give it time to cook. Why didn't the developers give the game time to cook? This first week after launch will greatly determine the trajectory and overall future support this game gets. A very low percentage of games get the chance at a comeback, and I do not believe sugarcoating the state of the game is going to somehow result in a better product months from now.
Topspin revolves the ball around player movement where all the other games try to get the players fast enough to play around the ball. Topsin is slower for sure but the gameplay is better.
Maybe becuase there are a lot of variables, ball speed, rotation, matching this with player animation must be tricky, but on the other hand all this stuff is present in football, but fifa had probably 10x bigger budget
You have to have much skill to play tennis elbow 4 well and really invest in putting a huge amount of hours in. For the more casual gamer like me, I just haven't been able to get into it, although I really appreciate its depth. I'm enjoying Tiebreak, and find the difficulty sufficiently challenging. After quite a few hours of playing I grt slaughtered by my opponent on expert difficulty, much more so after the latest patches. I think all of your criticisms are perfectly valid, and I wish we had a flat shot which worked. Doubles is also unbelievably bad, not sure if it's fixable to be honest, but I still feel quite positively about the rest of the game.
It is disgusting that these developers insist on selling broken products. Imagine if they purchased a motor car and were told.... 'It has no engine at the moment, but we'll get you one in 6 months'. They would not be happy. That is what Big Ant are doing to us. They are that motor company.
this is so frustrating. I atually play videogames without focusing in realisim or especific details. Aplay EA FC wich is a game that a lot of football fans say that the gameplay is false, and I like. This games is frustrating. It´s absolutely broken. This is so bad...
No point construction - Tiebreak is losing to games from late 90s and early 00s (All Stars Tennis 99, Tennis Masters Series). I do not see any differences in gamestyles - Tennis Elbow created by one guy has clear differences in playing styles. Rallies longer than 4 shots are rare. Each serve on the AD-side ends with hitting the net in the same place. Career mode without possibility to improve your player. 100% first serve of AI Huge chance on 100% of returns won Doubles are joke AI hits the net after shorter slice in 99% of cases Too high stats for Coco Gauff Players and court editor is direct port from Australian Open, but Australian Open was somehow slightly more playable Unnatural movement WTA 250 events with 64 places in the draw Week of Canadian Open in career mode, you can either play Montreal or Toronto, both tournaments same week Random names for players in career mode - players from two countries without flag are having for example polish surnames !!! Oh and the most annoying one - on a green hardcourt you barely see the ball, they should either add an option to increase the size of the ball or enhance the saturation either of the court or ball. JOKE!!!!!! Only positive is the roster of players, but once again game made by one guy (Tennis Elbow) gave you a possibility to really recreate the entire tour with realistic rankings (difference of 5 positions in some cases), you could even create realistic calendar with 8+ ITF events, 5 challenger and 3 ATP 250, with around 1500 ranked REAL players. For now it is nicely packaged shit, not worthy 70 euros in ace edition.
Just tested the serve exploit even on Medium difficulty when standing out wide on baseline and using slice shot in left hand court which was ace every time and it is funny to watch as soon as you select slice the cpu moves across knowing you are going to slice then if you rotate to flat and kick serve they move more to the center,so at least at this stage they got rid of the 2 serve exploits with slice
LOL the ball movement is atrociously slow and floaty. Looks like they are playing Tennis on the moon. Also the fact that the two biggest Tennis games (this and Topspin 2k) both don't have any court physics in 2024 is absolutely PATHETIC.
Hey thank you- I totally agree with all of what you said ! I bought the game yesterday and I am already mad as hell. It’s impossible to hit a serve … I lose every game and not even to hit a serve without any double faults. It’s really difficult to hit rallies… it’s very disappointing and even navigating through Menues is buggy and doesn’t work properly… it’s too bad🙃
Don't worry, in few days you will be winning 6-0 easily unless you hinder yourself deliberately to find challenge. Tips to serve: Turn off "serving timing indicator" in the menu - its more misleading than anything. Instead, pay attention to ball. Release the serve button (A or B/X or O) when the ball is at the apex and about to fall. You will get the serve in almost all the time without issues. Oh and dont aim down with left stick. Do it right and enjoy 90%-100% 1st serve accuracy.
it is horrible... i bought the ace edition for xbox series x and it was stupid expensive... played it for a couple hours and asked for a refund. I immediately went and purchased Tennis Elbow 4, and absolutely Tiebreak LOOKS and sounds better, but thats where it ends. The gameplay, physics, realism and overall feel of professional Tennis is WAY better in TE4, not even close. Sad to see a big studio with money and all these developers behind struggles so much compared to a tiny studio. It's sad really. In an ideal world, we'd get the feel and gameplay of TE4 mixed with the visuals of Tiebreak. Stay away from this one!!
@@machetegaming i was hoping it would be this one as I followed the development all along. Sadly, unless this gets MAJOR fixes, it was a complete waste of money, and for me in Canada, it was $100. Tennis elbow was half the cost, and is 100 times better.
That's what I hope to help avoid! Throwing money at a game that will disappoint a customer. If someone watches this vid and thinks it's a good game for them, cool. At least they will be aware of the issues before buying it
Seriously, there has to be a producer at EA that would want to buy both of the products and combine them. Then add EA presentation and commentary and we'd be in business. Hell, they could even steal Tennis Clash ideas and sucker people into a pay to play mode.
Incredible review. Such a waste of licensing and scans. Clearly, there is no shortage of animation and graphical experts, but a massive shortage of talent when it comes to figuring out how to make gameplay engaging. When will companies learn to equally fund that part in a sports game developement? This is exactly like FIFA vs Winning Eleven/PES back in the day. At least PES can be modded with licenses and better graphics than FIFA, but FATS/TE4 mods are restricted to player names, the core graphics still look 1990s. The FATS guy really needs to use a modern engine for his game.
I like the FIFA vs. PES comparison with the tennis genre! Though, I don't think TE4 or FATS even need to surpass TB/TS in graphics. They 'just' need to be in the same ballpark to achieve commercial success and sweep tennis fans off their feet.
So it seems like there's no proper tennis pc game out there that has the full package. Turns out that all of the tennis games released recently are doing it wrong in terms of understanding what a game of tennis actually is about
Topspin got the hard part right. The frustration with TS is that they don’t bother grabbing the low hanging fruit. For example, no online Doubles, no tournament mode, expanded match settings for online play. These are easy wins that TS is slacking on. I don’t care about the roster as much as others. Give me great gameplay and a variety of modes and I’m good. I would say more MyCareer features like Fed and Davis cup would be nice and dice the rest/injury issues.
The gameplay shown on the introduction alone just made me want to throw up. Looks like a game made by people who only watched tennis twice on a very small TV, 15 years ago.
TS2K25 has the potential to be the best tennis game ever, all it's missing is a bigger roster, more outfit selections for the players and maybe speed up the gameplay just a notch.
You might be right, but I think that considering right now this game is better then Top Spin (Ps4/Ps5 only options ). The gameplay can get better. Top Spin wont, 2K will save possible upgrades for 2K26. 😢😢
@@machetegamingare you still enjoying TE4 as much a before if not more? I saw your review and you were very impressed. I will for sure get it for PS5. For now, I have to ride with Tiebreak. TS was terrible to me. I returned it after a week.
I haven't played TE4 much these days due to working on videos for other titles (FATS and TB). But generally, yeah I still like TE4 a lot. So if you're thinking about buying it when it comes out in October (expected release on PS by the dev) then you should give it a shot. Bearing in mind the graphical limitations, it's a great tennis game
Big ant do this for all there cricket games over promise then massively under deliver you then have to wait months for patches to make the game somewhat playable
Non puoi fare un video pre aggiornamenti e poi dire in un commento che post aggiornamenti non è cambiato nulla. Sono giorni che butti giù questo gioco. Sembra una guerra la tua più che una recensione.
Comprehensive and accurate critique, but I disagree with your perspective. First, I understand the prevailing issues with tiebreak and, compared to the indie alternatives, the gameplay is rather disappointing especially with all of those issues. But it seems your perspective is influenced by being accustomed to those games and expecting the exact same form of details, because in my opinion, a lot of these issues are not as dramatic as portrayed here. Yes, shot variety is lacking, the AI is bugged and the skill gap is insufficient, as examples, but I and many others (see other playthroughs on youtube) find the game enjoyable despite being aware and disliking these and I believe it's a result of the attitude we are coming from; to enjoy the game, have good rallies, immerse ourselves in them (tiebreak can be, even if inconsistently) and the significance of some of these problems such as shot balanacing start to fade out somewhat as we focus on the many positives; they just aren't as problematic as I recall them. For example, I still see variety in shot types and situations to use them, and certainly don't see topspin as the only good shot, while also acknowledging the negative aspects. Still a mediocre game in my view due to the accumulation of these problems as they can be very frustrating, like the flaws in the AI, but I'm sure I'd dislike the game much more if I focused on all of the bad and compared it extensively to the mechanics of other tennis games. And I think it has the potential to be revamped with time. We'll have to wait and see.
@iliyanovslounge Fair Layered critique. POV is swayed from what you value in games and I feel this review is going for something different. To me whole experience matters. - Player Individuality - Unique Animations - Graphics - Gameplay - Balancing - Game Modes - Online - Mechanics You won't get this in TE4 or FA or Topspin. I'm well aware of the issues, and I have outlined how many are overblown greatly in this video.
Tiebreak AI is much improved since latest update even on Medium difficulty which to me is amazing compared to 24 hours ago even getting to drop shots and hitting plenty of winners,i was winning on Expert no worries now i really have to try on medium otherwise they can hit you off the court. AI just needs to get back to center of court quicker on higher difficulties to get the wide angled shots players use. To say the game has hardly improved since latest update is very unfair from Machete as i have always said AO TENNIS 2 AI was far superior to Tiebreak now Tiebreak i am finding a lot harder than AO2 which is great and with devs saying today there is more tuning coming is very pleasing to hear.
I want to echo all of the sentiments in this video. Before buying Tiebreak I was really hopeful and I thought that any of the flaws pointed out in reviews could be overlooked, but the gameplay is horrendous and truly I don’t think it can be fixed with any number of patches. The broken state of career mode on launch definitely doesn’t install any confidence in this dev team, nor the fact that BigAnt have pretty quickly abandoned all of their other tennis games after launch. If you’re thinking about buying this, buy literally any other tennis game; even TopSpin is better (and TopSpin is pretty bad). Don’t waste your money like me!
This game has already had like 7 updates and my flat shots CONTINUE to go into the net like every single freaking time!!! Why?!? Also, returning serves suck. I feel so bad I paid $60 for this game. What a waste.
The best last "realistic" game I played was Tennis Master Series 2003. And the last best looking and fun game, Virtua Tennis 3. Even virtua tennis 1 feels better than this modern games
Big tennis fan, besides the large roster is the gameplay nowhere near as good or accurate as top spin 2k25. Right now would you recommend buying top spin.
Why do I like it better than topspin??? Like I prefer Tiebreaks graphics over Topspin's - maybe the lighting is better in topspin but I hate the grunts and the player models are disgusting (look at Alcaraz in topspin) also the movement looks so weird in topspin - just my opinion
Ok, just seen another patch release this morning? That’s the second since the release date… I don’t have faith considering they released this hot garbage as is?!? 🤷🏾♂️
Just keep TWT 2 if you’re enjoying that game. Keep playing that one for sure. I thought Machete was being a little harsh on the game until I bought it to try it out, but he definitely isn’t. Huge mistake.
To me after last update even on Medium difficulty the AI is much better hitting clean winners, getting to drop shots and getting the ball back,no longer hitting flat shots into the net from baseline every point like it was 24 hours ago and even on medium difficulty the slice serve to center right hand side which the cpu never even moved now get to it easily, for Machete to say there has been nearly no improvement even with latest update is completely unfair. What the AI has to improve is getting back to center of court quicker on higher difficulties when taken wide to get back wide angled shots, other than that they are hitting clean winners acing even on medium difficulty and wrong footing me a lot,the game is starting to feel really good now.
@@machetegaming Yeah, games made by little known independent companies. Wouldn't want to punch down. Bad word of mouth could bankrupt the company entirely and you don't want that on your conscience.. Better to bag a game from a rich company, one who is too big to fail and will live another day. A company which is more successful than the little indy game, so has to be brought down a few hundred notches. If TE4 totally sucked, would you say it, even if it destroyed the makers' livelihoods? Seems some people want to go back to Nintendo and PS1, original XBox.
@@dhenderson1810 this is a ridiculous take... TE4 is a much better PLAYING tennis game, in spite of the fact of the much reduced budget and tiny studio... Tiebreak is bad DESPITE the vastly increased budget and big studio... I wanted to love Tiebreak, I bought the Ace Edition. Yesterday, I watched some of the US Open final and then went to play Tiebreak and the gameplay is laughably bad, it is so far removed from real tennis its sad. And all that for $110 CDN. TE4 has its issues, but overall it is a way way better representation of professional tennis.
@@NijKnocker09 I bet if Tennis Elbow was baf, you wouldn't say it because it will put a guy out of business. Independent companies make crap games as well and deserve to go under if they do it too often.
😂 review Bro 👍🏼 we deserve so much better in 2024 😩 I said it once before we Tennis fans gonna have to start a GoFund Me page and hire our own team to create the best Tennis Game in the World 😃 I have the title right here Ultimate Tennis 1,2,3
Its not big ant studios its BUG ANT STUDIOS same happend for Cricket 24 . They cheated entire cricket game fans game is fulllll of bugs even after a year its still has bugs
I am very disappointed. Not only in gameplay as you do show in your video but also and maybe even more in the career mode . It is just a "new"version of AO , but because they lost the AO license they now call it Tiebreak. They took AO 2 , polished the graphics at bit up , made some new menu's but delete some of the nice features in AO2 and dropped it on us. Careermode is in a lot of things an exact copy of AO2 and in AO2 it was already not that exciting. In 3 stages you can spend money on different things from staff to transportation and accommodations and that's it. Not a real coach to hire or getting in to difficulties like injuries or other real life stuff on your way. You can get offers for sponsorship but there are no strings attached. I mean I can sign a sponsorship with addidas and wear nike clothes. And this is the same in AO2 and Tiebreak. What the removed in Tiebreak is the opponent stats. Also the possibility to add players to the roster is gone.No possibility anymore to give your player an audioname. In AO2 you could change the difficulty level in the match options , not in Tiebreak. In AO 2 you have Futures Tournaments , not in Tiebreak. The challanger tournaments are all in the eastern part of the world and the stadiums are exactly the same . There is a female chair umpire with a male voice. Players and crowds reactions are making no sense at all. The intro in Tiebreak of career-mode was promising but it was just a short intro movie and nothing more.
I don't get with BigAnt (and this goes with their AFL and cricket games as well).. Why not just use the same game play as previous and just have it be like an updated version. AO2 seemed to play well. Just keep that game play and add the roster from Tiebreak. Same with the AFL. Use the same game play as AFL 2011 but update the roster, graphics. I don't see why they need to change the game play at all.
..because Tiebreak is BAD! ..and he did the same thing with TS2k25 but prised the other two games: Tennis elbow 4 and Full Ace Tennis. nothing to do with farming
@@ArnavRajurkar-cb6hc there's been a couple of patches/updates over the past couple days as well as the full release so he made a vid for each one. It's not really that big of a deal. Before then he made like a vid every couple weeks or so on tiebreak for every phase of early access
@@takeyourtime3328 Seems like he likes to bag big budget games but not be as critical of small development games even if they are not as good. Almost like people don't want to give credit to big studios for their games.
Pathetic. Glad i saved my money on two tennis games Also why oh why is del potro, tsonga, anderson still in the game? Younger gen wont care about these guys, even Federer. And theyre high rated? Stick with the times.
The game is way better since latest update even on medium difficulty, nothing like 24 hours ago and still more tuning on the way,Tiebreak is now clearly better than Topspin 2k25 which i traded in after a month with its slow boring gameplay which Machete also said but i disagree with him after latest Tiebreak update.
Medium difficulty is just too difficult for me, can't believe u had no problems playing on the highest difficulty, haven't even won a single match yet playing best of 5 games
Once you get the hang of controls and what to use, you will have the same outcome as I do. 3 things to win easily in this game: - don't press shot button untill your opponent hits the ball (including serves) - hold both triggers all the time - use topspin for the win (use flat shot just for giggles)
I meant 2 triggers should be used all the time, not only for returning. 2 triggers give you much higher running speed + turn your shots into aggressive shot types with angles closer to lines. How do you get aced? Your player makes animation like they are wrong-footed? Or what happens? Generally, you should press shot button and direction ONLY AFTER (I can't stress this part enough) opponent hits the ball. If you do that right, animation lock kicks in and 99% of the time you don't get aced.
Don’t listen to this review -!!!!! This game is great the amount of detail is incredible they have nailed the way each players serves and hits the ball just amazing - by far the best tennis game ever ;) buy buy buy
Ball boys are there now you are looking at old videos, lines people are slowing being taken out of tennis anyway, the Australian Open does not use them anymore.
Glad you enjoy the game. The game is a bit harder, but still way too easy. And neither yesterday nor today patch fixed any of the things I mentioned in the video (which you obviously did not watch fully)
I prefer Top Spin in PS5, latest patches fixed some gameplay issues. Animations, Court and Ball physics are much better in Top Spin. Currently, finally you can use it all types of shots effectively.
@@WparuSlowach I can't play a game that has only 11 male players including legends. It's a SHAME end of the day. Movement is better for sure but i go back to the inner child in me. Do i enjoy playing? some prefer TE4 but the movement is gameboy like but ball physics are top notch. sooo if you enjoy that's the whole point end of day.
@@mostar387 Sure roster is big disappointed. However I prefer to play on different types of courts. Tiebreak - all courts have the same physic and no degradation. It’s more like game for Iphone. ;)
If Topsin2k25 had the high risk button gameplay would be almost perfect imo. Then if it wasn't a predator & had a roster we'd have a good game. Tiebreaks problems are "baked" in Idk how you fix this game. I'd like to think 2k will add the risk button but at least it's a challenge. Tiebreak is unplayable. I win every pt. So fun! It plays ridiculously fast. This is your arcade option but isn't the arcade option supposed to be more fun?
For once i totally disagree with you Machete,24 hours ago playing against AI Kevin Anderson on Expert he was hitting nearly every ball into the net and useless everywhere, now 24 hours later even on Medium difficulty he is hitting clean winners wrong footing me,not doing hardly any flat shots into the net from baseline, can even get back drop shots not hitting into the net, also the slice serve to the center line right hand side where the CPU did not even move and gave us aces every time now gets them back easily and i have tried out with 3 or 4 other AI players as well and they are greatly improved. The main thing devs have got to fix for hard and expert is get the AI to run quickly back to the center of court after taken wide so they are ready for the wide angled winners from players. The CPU hits winners from everywhere now and wrong footing me a lot. After saying before the AI in AO TENNIS 2 was way better i now say i am now finding Tiebreak AI harder because the balls are hit harder and they are now using more angle. Tiebreak is now light years ahead of Topspin 2k25 which was slow and boring and that game can rest in peace,i am finally happy Tiebreak is heading in the right direction and as a 61 year old is more than enough difficulty wise and today the devs have said there is more tuning to do in the future which is great.
I'm glad you're having fun and some challenge! And it's cool to have different experiences. I still don't have any difficulty in this game. After the latest update I had no issue winning 6:0. But anyway keep in mind that difficulty was just one of many problems I highlighted for this game. Since they seem to focus now on difficulty (as they should) it will hopefully get sorted eventually (if they know what they are doing, which is a big freaking if considering the state of the game). I would be more worried about other issues mentioned in the vid (long term).
I feel like your critique and review is overtly negative. Most of them are. I respect your POV, but its overtly harsh imo. Especially knowing the big update to come. By most the AI is much better for them as of today Flat shots are much better, more balance. Slice improved Net play is viable and solid Serving made easier, (now if u mean the mechanic thats all good your opinion). To me serve does give an advantage and has been helpful. Underarm serve is gone now by CPU Returning is subjective, but get your point. Physics do need to improve but they have gotten better for sure What big AA or AAA tennis game has ever had court physics??????? Agreed, Scramble is trash Movement I agree mainly about the changing direction point u mentioned, which goes back to the scramble being so bad, bc the 1 trigger movement have solid inertia. Overall I respect the Review, but like most games in 2024. 1 day Reviews don't do anything, especially with all the updates and patches they are pushing.
Its quite obvious to me that we have varying feelings about the game based on our discord chats. This review is indeed negative (I am not even hiding it). I think Tiebreak is absolutely not ready for release and that it is a bad product. And so I dont recommend my audience to buy it now (how could I?) It's kinda wild to me that you actually agree with like 3/4 things I pointed out as major flaws and yet conclude that Tiebreak is a good game that people should buy. Court physics are something that was done very, very well by "A" tennis games (TE4 & FATS), so there is no reason "AA" or "AAA" games cannot do it right. And the fact that most of those recent AA/AAA tennis titles are published/developed by companies which are responsible for Tiebreak does not help lol
@machetegaming I agreed with movement, and a need for improved physics. Hardly 3/4, but these are things I have always said and acknowledge. I disagree with you about most of the rest as I did in the discord. If u would like to go point by point of what I said, I would like to see your POV, bc from my playing and from others today. I see some are not having the same experience as you.
What big update? It looks like they need to improve most things. Personally, because the sport of tennis can be so marginal in terms of winning points in the biggest moments, the difficulty needs to be upped significantly especially if youre a low rated custom character.
Tiebreak and Top Spin both arcadey moon ball. Full Ace and Tennis Elbow have physics, passion and knowledge behind them. I appreciate TE4 has biggest variety in gameplay but personally enjoy TE2013 with either Tennis experience or golden slam patch. Both are incredible and add to the huge depth of the TE series that won't ever be surpassed
@machetegaming If the game was near perfect, would you review it as such, since negativity sells TH-cam videos. Noticed lately all doom and gloom on TH-cam (except baby and pet videos).
Olá galera boa tarde alguém enfrentando dificuldade para jogar online eu só jogo com pessoas da mesma plataforma que eu passo horas para encontrar uma partida eu jogo no Xbox

Why is the ball so floaty? Are they playing on Mars?
Topspin is better?
tennis elbow 4 the real one ahah, just one dev but tennis passion and no money passion a great difference
Topspin revolves the ball around player movement where all the other games try to get the players fast enough to play around the ball. Topsin is slower for sure but the gameplay is better.
Why is it so difficult to make a good tennis game?🤔
I'm asking this question more than 10 years
we need EA 😂😂😂
Maybe becuase there are a lot of variables, ball speed, rotation, matching this with player animation must be tricky, but on the other hand all this stuff is present in football, but fifa had probably 10x bigger budget
You have to have much skill to play tennis elbow 4 well and really invest in putting a huge amount of hours in. For the more casual gamer like me, I just haven't been able to get into it, although I really appreciate its depth.

The two shots / swings in the cutscenes in career mode looked hundred times better than the actual gameplay. 😅

Playing with a low level character just increases the gravity of the moon you play on. Bigant have no idea how to create ball physics. It's so bad!
The worst part of it for me is the ball/court physics. It just looks so fake and not natural, do they watch actual tennis?!
Only good thing about this game is…..selection of players. I think this might be worse than Matchpoint Tennis.
100% first serve of AI
Huge chance on 100% of returns won
Doubles are joke
AI hits the net after shorter slice in 99% of cases
Too high stats for Coco Gauff
Players and court editor is direct port from Australian Open, but Australian Open was somehow slightly more playable
Unnatural movement
WTA 250 events with 64 places in the draw
Week of Canadian Open in career mode, you can either play Montreal or Toronto, both tournaments same week
Random names for players in career mode - players from two countries without flag are having for example polish surnames !!!
I'm in absolutely shock with this game. Very potential, but today is a awful experience. Very frustrating!
Ok I don't have a console ...but would buy one for this game...but lucky I saw this review first!
It looks a bit rough but I find tennis elbow 4 -
Game options as well as physics are just incredible
Maybe one day we will get such a mix of gameplay and visuals! One can only dream!
Bro topspin 5 is a great game just ignore license players
I’ll stick to Tennis Elbow 4.
Great review, saved me wasting time and money. I've not enjoyed tennis games since the PS2.
The wait for a good tennis game on consoles goes on....
Is it just me or it difficult to serve?
Update: its quite easy after the first update
So it seems like there's no proper tennis pc game out there that has the full package. Turns out that all of the tennis games released recently are doing it wrong in terms of understanding what a game of tennis actually is about
I think topspin is good but just wish more tennis players on the game
I'm enjoying the latest TopSpin. still a much better game than this garbage
2k TS is trash
Tennis elbow 10 levels above all tennis games.. Patched tennis elbow
I get it for PS users, it currently sucks. But October is not too far away so I would wait for Tennis Elbow 4 release on Playstation.
@@machetegaming great. Thanks for the reply.
Big ant do this for all there cricket games over promise then massively under deliver you then have to wait months for patches to make the game somewhat playable
I 100% agree with everything you said in the video. Hopefully the devs actually watch and listen to the feedback in this video.
Non puoi fare un video pre aggiornamenti e poi dire in un commento che post aggiornamenti non è cambiato nulla. Sono giorni che butti giù questo gioco. Sembra una guerra la tua più che una recensione.
Good review man. Thanks.
Does this game have the Olympics like in AO Tennis 2?
Can you play AI v AI? Is it two player?
Because I like to swap between games and play as my opponent every second game.
Makes it more competitive.
thats true this game is a complete waste of money
the career mode ist an absolute joke !!!!
@iliyanovslounge Fair Layered critique.
POV is swayed from what you value in games and I feel this review is going for something different.
To me whole experience matters.
- Player Individuality
- Unique Animations
- Graphics
- Gameplay
- Balancing
- Game Modes
- Online
- Mechanics
You won't get this in TE4 or FA or Topspin.
Top Spin 2k25 isn't a bad game sure its not perfect but the gameplay is very playable.
Yet another terrible tennis game. I don't need modeling. I need something that brings out the same joy of playing tennis in real life.
This game has already had like 7 updates and my flat shots CONTINUE to go into the net like every single freaking time!!! Why?!? Also, returning serves suck. I feel so bad I paid $60 for this game. What a waste.
I almost bought it today for 70e..
Top Spin is actually good.
Man, with all the comments here. I don’t need to leave my experience.. you guys said enough. TB….😫😫😫😫
SEGA, when you will come up with a new Virtua Tennis, 4 was weak, 3 and the dreamcast title is what the people want again...
I actually think the gameplay is pretty good. Feels way smoother than all the others so far, even topsin
The cpu aces me 15 times a match. I know I suck but geez...
Made by same company of AO Tennis and Tennis World Tour. No wonder it's still a piece of shite.
The best last "realistic" game I played was Tennis Master Series 2003. And the last best looking and fun game, Virtua Tennis 3. Even virtua tennis 1 feels better than this modern games
Whoever said this game is better than TS2K25 is bullshit
I have a game Tennis World Tour 2. Is it worth it buying Tiebreak or is it a waste of money?
Just keep TWT 2 if you’re enjoying that game. Keep playing that one for sure. I thought Machete was being a little harsh on the game until I bought it to try it out, but he definitely isn’t. Huge mistake.
@@KCClassic7 I bought the game through a discount on the Microsoft Store so it was kind of cheap. 😀
Hi from Brasil, thanks for the video, who u think is better to play with my wife for fun? arcade mode.
haha dude hit an ace and the ball bounces like 5 times before hitting the back.
There have been 3 updates since release and the game is really good.
Did you download the latest updates. There were 2 major patches/updates released yesterday and today
What is wrong with topspin 2k25?
Don't worry, I am a low budget single developer developing the next Tennis game. Will take a few years, but It will be done.

Brilliant video. Thanks for uploading. Bigant fail again and video game tennis fans are yet again left out of pocket.
Wanted to buy this to play as Qinwen but now I am so disappointed!
Dude why are you just farming veiws over how “bad” tiebreak is?
..because Tiebreak is BAD! ..and he did the same thing with TS2k25 but prised the other two games: Tennis elbow 4 and Full Ace Tennis. nothing to do with farming

3 things to win easily in this game:
- don't press shot button untill your opponent hits the ball (including serves)
- hold both triggers all the time
- use topspin for the win (use flat shot just for giggles)
@@machetegaming hold both triggers at the same time !?
@@jimjam_the_wong_and_only1942 yes. It's a core gameplay mechanic in Tiebreak. I really dislike it tbh, but the gameplay revolves around it.
@@machetegaming what does holding both triggers do anyway, i tried it, just no difference i still get aced by them
I meant 2 triggers should be used all the time, not only for returning.
If you do that right, animation lock kicks in and 99% of the time you don't get aced.
tiebreak came out of nowhere..so yeah..no big scores here..

Glad you enjoy the game. The game is a bit harder, but still way too easy.
And neither yesterday nor today patch fixed any of the things I mentioned in the video (which you obviously did not watch fully)

I think matchpoint is good game i like it
Look more.relistic then top Spin and nice animations
A 61 year old gamer?
Cool.
I am 53 and was wondering if I am getting too old for games.

@@No-Kung-Fu you are saying because you are suffering so it's a subjective feeling bro
I feel like your critique and review is overtly negative. Most of them are. I respect your POV, but its overtly harsh imo. Especially knowing the big update to come.
By most the AI is much better for them as of today
Flat shots are much better, more balance.
Slice improved
Net play is viable and solid
Serving made easier, (now if u mean the mechanic thats all good your opinion). To me serve does give an advantage and has been helpful.
Underarm serve is gone now by CPU
Returning is subjective, but get your point.
Physics do need to improve but they have gotten better for sure
What big AA or AAA tennis game has ever had court physics???????
Agreed, Scramble is trash
Movement I agree mainly about the changing direction point u mentioned, which goes back to the scramble being so bad, bc the 1 trigger movement have solid inertia.
And so I dont recommend my audience to buy it now (how could I?)
It's kinda wild to me that you actually agree with like 3/4 things I pointed out as major flaws and yet conclude that Tiebreak is a good game that people should buy.
