Dropping leads in piking is completely different to carping, I’d suggest nev fickling and mick brown etc have never done it so I’ll follow their lead thanks
It’s all dependant on the venue and like Ben said, there are options that allow the lead to remain. It will drop only when it’s required to and this helps you to control the pike and steer it out of weed/snags much easier and safer than with a lead attached. If you don’t need to do it then don’t.
@@FoxRageTV To be fair that looks to be aimed at the carp angler doing a bit of Pike fishing. Not really necessary particularly if you use a weak link as I do on nearly all rigs, the only time you need that lead to come off is if it is snagged, all a bit gimmicky to me but each to their own. Other than that, nice video. :)
