    These are really awesome tutorials. Thank you. I got my surface grinder and made sure the chuck was flat to the belt. Watching this is making my knife making learning/journey really feel possible. I'm excited to put my grinder to work!

    Great video. The only thing I noticed is when you set up the second side of the blade to taper you used the end of the knife. The problem is the blade thickness is no longer .188. if you were using actual shims it wouldn't have been a problem.

      I cheated and used another full thickness piece of the same stock lying around haha nice catch though!

      Its a good idea. We need to meet a good app developer who could help us out. Seems like it would be easy for someone who does it.

    Or you could just use those trig functions on your phone to determine the correct angle instead, it would be a lot fewer steps.
