*UPDATE The water shown here has returned to its banks. Water rises and falls in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge quickly. Thanks for watching.
Kinda cool now watching the snowflakes fall from our balcony at the margaritaville resort. Enjoying our 19th wedding anniversary thanks for giving us all the information we needed for a perfect trip. Other than the fact all the restaurants you recommended had to close for the weather which I understood but kinda sucked because I was looking forward to a good steak
@@zacharytomlin8814 happy anniversary! Is it snowing right now?? Wish you could have gotten a good steak today. So glad to hear you guys found some value in the channel!
I am supporting for The Smoky mountain family Yes, I had been trying to figure out what is goings-on my real vision serious need set up new one dam engineer foe level water can control but it cost a lot of money yes. Beautiful places I had been offer gone there and mine Indian tribe of teams knows me little grew up to meet them annually twice every years but they were very good.
Thanks for posting.
I love the the Smoky Mountains, love Gatlinburg ,Pigeon Forge, everything.. we had a bit of flooding in Kentucky too .. can hardly wait to visit in the spring again❤️
I hate to see this happening to anyone's property. The video was sharp and clear, excellent camera work, it was like we were there . Thank you , I had no idea it was this bad. It was rough in Unicoi but not this much water.
I HAVE been there many times and recognize the businesses there. Horrible for all who work and live there. What a nightmare.
Rockin in Unicoi !
we getting the breezy winds and rain here in west virginia keeping these people here in my thoughts and prayers
Love this place, loved the people, great place to visit and vacation. My heart breaks for you guys.
I love it there it’s beautiful Maybe Dolly can do a fund raiser and help them out !
@@sandralrho9455it happens more often than you think.
Don't worry! We're ok.

Good grief! We thought all that rain was more down towards the Gulf. Prayers 🙏❤️ for those affected, and Eric, you and your family be safe. Thank you. Btw, 8"of snow here; everything shut down, windy, lots of wrecks.

It is coming from the golf
Jane...City & state, friend?
It's in Gatlinburg Tennessee
@@zebbullard8409 ?.there are NOW 8 inches of snow in Gatlinburg replacing all these flood waters pictured here??
I lived in Jackson County right across the mountain in NC, & this is more water than I’ve ever seen come through.
Man prayers to everyone affected. Yall be safe.
Anytime it rains in the mountains it flows downhill filling rivers and creeks below. The tourists love it! Locals are used to it but can be a pain!
So heartbreaking. Hope everyone got out of flooded areas. My heart always breaks to think of poor animals that are left behind.
I wonder what the river looks like in Pigeon Forge at the Old Mill?
What do you expect when you develop the flood plains of a creek? Exactly this. It happens all the time.
Correct
Yep, this is a regular occurrence and has been for the 50 years I've been visiting the Smokies.🙄
Imagine a “100 year” event. This is nothing, but still alarming.
Exactly !!! Maybe nature sees what people have done to it down there and will eventually take it back !! I'm sure that town was beautiful before every hillside was covered in cabins 😓
Doesn’t matter where we build. Natural disasters (events) can happen anywhere. Here, it’s tornadoes or the New Madrid fault line. When I grew up on the east coast it was hurricanes. And imagine living through the thousand year flood in Nashville.
I dont think I've ever seen the water spill over the bridge like that... crazy weather
Went with my family back in the spring of 1995 and the whole town flooded. Luckily we stayed up on Airport Rd, but they were just pumping water out of shops in town.
It is terrible to see 😢 praying for everyone to remain safe over there. 🙏
Thanks for the coverage. Unfortunately this happens a lot in that area of Gatlinburg.
I was going to go there this week for a day trip. Guess, I need to make other plans.
Good video, that was a lot of rain water 😮, that was bad 😢
Prayers for each that are affected by this flooding!

They rebuilt so much in Gatlinburg after the fire in 2016 I lived right downtown Gatlinburg and never saw this kind of flooding . We moved after the fire. Wonder if the spur flooded.Crazy!!

Stay dry! I expect the Nolichucky up here in Greene county to be cranking by tomorrow.
Happens every time it rains hard over there. This ain't the first time. Close the roads, let the water go down.
We were just there 3 weeks ago on vacation 😮
That’s a lot of water!!! Sheesh! I was planning on visiting Gatlinburg and/or Pigeon Forge last summer. I really wish I had made the trip, especially after seeing this destruction.😢🙏🏾

last year today I went to Gatlinburg with my family. It is one of the most beautiful place I have ever been. I hope everyone is doing ok. much prayers.
Prayers go out to this community 🙏
Back in 1997 me and my friends went down the little pigeon River in inner tubes after a huge storm.😅 We almost died on several occasions down the river. Kind of sad, but those are some of the best memories of my life. Almost drowning in little pigeon River. I would love to throw an inner tube in there and have the time of my life, but I don't have a death wish anymore.
That's so crazy. Thank you for the great video. I was at Zoder's one month ago. I hope they are okay.
Oh My!!! Stay safe.
This is heartbreaking! One of my favorite places to go as a kid. Prayers to all effected! How bad is it down through the Y and Townsend? And what about Cades Cove? That's where my grandfather was born & raised, so it holds a special place in my heart!
I always loved to go to Cade's Cove when I was younger.
Breaks my heart. Be safe, folks.
Weather conditions across the world are changing. Our thoughts go out to all affected.
Fantastic filming and sound! The power of nature is profound. Do we hear what she is saying?! I pray that humans and animals have moved to higher ground!
So beautiful and calm.

Flooding is no joke, people....stay home.
Unfortunately that's what happens when you turn everything to concrete
Prayers for you, and your families, and friends, Eric!!! Jim from Ohio!!!

What river is that? I hope everyone is safe from the flood water. I grew up in Snoqualmie, Washington state and we had flooding every year. A lot of cleaning up to do
Wow. It rains badly in Maryland, where I live, but I am unsure if our neighborhood has water flowing. This is terrible. Some states have worse floods than others.
Wow stay safe sledgehammered that like button sharing out full watch
Wow this video really took off. Great info!!
How much rain, in how short a time, did it take to raise the level of that river to that extreme?
We've had anywhere from a drizzle to steady light rain for the last 2 days.
Thank You very much for your video.
Wonder how much snow is on Clingmans Dome?
I worked for the city of gatlinburg a couple months back glad I left that job for something else
as you sow,so shall you reap, its divine pay back time, more to embrace in future.repent, ask for forgiveness, mend your ways,do the needful,be righteous and things calms down.
I think the river is going to be in the Large Private Balconies 😮. Hope all are safe
One of my favorite places in the world to spend time. Sad to see 😢

Thats crazy
Make sure you pay to park
What else would happen when you over develop the floodplains?
Where are the bags? To Lay on the bridge gate to keep the water from flowing onto the street?
Seems like only a couple years ago this happened as well. Maybe it was 4 years ago, but I remember it before.
Where are the white water kayakers?
