@11:58 I laughed so hard when Kugdai tossed the Godhand bits. Splash's 2k clear is awesome! It's rock hard and you can wet sand & buff with polishing compound to get a perfect shine. Car modelers love their stuff

Just getting started with lacquers, but I think I'm going to be sticking with Splash for the metallics. Easy to work with, straightforward selection, and importantly for the US: regularly in stock unlike Gaia and Mr Hobby are rn.
Local brands are great not just to support, but also overall cheaper or no shipping costs. That's why we tend to use IPP more than Gaia. Glad to hear you like the Splash paints. Can't wait to try mine!
I see we have similar tastes in resin kits! I too, have the PG Gouf resin kit and am currently waiting on my PG Gouf Flight Type kit to arrive. When I saw this come up on my feed, I immediately said out loud "Oh yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrr!?" Ha. When you opened up your SD kit, my first thought was "Teenage Mutant Gunpla Turtles". Anyway, I found it cute you both got haircuts on your guys' staycations, you both look great! And of course you can't have a video without Kugdai and his goofball antics (cue him tossing the expensive Godhand drillbits like it ain't no thang)! As usual, always jealous of the delicious food and drinks you guys get, looks soooooooooooooooooooo good! Excited for the next vid and curious on your thoughts of the paints that arrived.

frostedsnow yeah the H-8 Flight Type is my favorite version of the Gouf and it saddens me that the only Bandai kits are the old HG and the P Bandai HGUC. Which I have both of. I had already ordered the mg conversion kit. Which should hopefully come in soon. Your videos on resin kits made me really want to try them out. And that PG conversion kit looks really cool too.

Just by looking at those giant parts I can even feel the cramp after hours of pulling the trigger of airbrush. BTW, have you and Kughee ever dealt with white resin kit? I'm planning to buy an MG RX-93 resin kit but it's cast in white resin so I'm not sure about its quality.
White resin is a bit more weak/bendy than the usual yellow one. If the kit is small/thin, it's gonna be a lot harder to build (my unfortunate experience). However, if you check out Kughee's insta @kugdai, his Nu bust is white resin, but so chunky and so not as bad/bendy (you'll see the fin is a bit bent though).
@@frostedsnow oh I see. It's a dress-up kit so there are many small parts, I think I should look for yellow resin option. And, I remember you said Kughee mixed some putty with thinner to fix holes on resin, what kind of putty is that? I used Dissolved Putty from Mr Hobby but it had long curing time (overnight) and came off easily after being sanded.

So i actually quite like splash paints, some of the colors are pretty unique. Newtype only carries the mecha paint line, but splash's automotive paint is where it's at. I used it to make my Zeonic Toyota Gouf Prototype Tactical demonstrator. Main color: Toyota Supra's Royal Sapphire Pearl Secondary Color Lexus's (a toyota owned company) Smokey Granite Feel free to check it out here: imgur.com/a/gSiohJ9 I hope you try out some of them one of these days
