Either people are making better levels in this game compared to SMM1 or the rating system just works really well, but there seems to be a lot more nicely designed stages in Super Expert and much less hot garbage and generic New Soup speedruns. Too bad we didn't get to see the beginning of your epic run, but the video was still great and you conquered that 20 seconds spike run incredibly easily, well played! :)
I think that it's just too early. The masses haven't yet gotten their hands to flooding SMM2 with garbage, only the most dedicated and prolific creators are already active. Booing should help in warding off the garbage but only if it's implemented smartly. E.g. I saw it abused by ppl who cannot beat the level. Nintendo needs to somehow filter these out.
the problem is that levels that have not been rated dont go into the challanges, so if you don't play new levels they'll never be played because you actually just can't encounter them. good side? the people playing dont get garbage, but it means that people making levels will never get their levels played unless people go out of their way to play new levels

I'm a pretty mediocre Mario player. I finally beat Hot Sponge yesterday. I felt like challenging myself to that level helped refine some of my movements, especially the second half being forced to be quick! Great level and great content! Keep on doing your thing Ryu!

Small bit of semantics, but I hope this helps: At 1:04 you ask what the chances of another coin are. This is where the wording of conditions can get you; if there are extra coins, the condition will say "reach the goal after collecting at least X coins," but if there's a set amount, it will say "all X coins." Love the video as always. Your skills are legendary! Also, I'm kinda sad that SMB3 Boom Boom still seems to have "Spark Mandrill syndrome."

Aslo there were two times that I forgot to press the record button so it saved my butt lolol. Not the most amazing thing in the world, but definitely helpful. I've already gotten use to not using it though 🤔

One time I recorded an entire video, and didn't realize that my mic was muted 😅 But yes, that feature is a good safety net, for sure. The switch to OBS is worth it though, it's my central hub for all my audio/visual devices.
I guess the creator of that poison mushroom stage put those kaizo blocks in so players don't just jump over everything. He couldn't place normal blocks as those would keep the mushrooms from falling onto you and in some parts of the stage you would be able to just go above everything without those kaizos. Of course he could have marked their position with trails for more transparancy.

That spike level wasn’t bad at all lol the offscreen thwomps actually made a lot of sense. He started the level having you hit your own on-off, then he introduced the thwomps easing you into the idea of the thwomps hitting the blocks for you. Then he made them off screen, but it’s set up in a way that if you just run through the course, the thwomps will help you out. You just gotta be fast. I think it was a solid level lol
That is a whole herd of death shrooms coming at you. The Apocalypse has come to Mario Maker. Somethings oddly pleasing about hearing Luigi scream in agony.

endless mode has really taken some of the fun out of the "can he survive in only 100 lives?" videos. only the person playing can really keep up with how long the longest run goes for

he meant if there is a pipe or cannon that shoot coins let`s say to win you must get 16 coins like this level if there is a cannon that shoot let`s say 5 the condition won`t become 21 but if you only collected 11 coins and forget 5 you can get the 5 coins the cannon shooted and there you go
You can do an extra jump on on/off switch blocks if you put an extra block on top of them. You have to hit the far corner in the direction your running and then spam jump immediately after hitting the switch
